How does the person reviewing the movie know that it's Will Smith's ideology and does he know this is based on a real story, and therefore, by definition, realistic? Being realistic and being positive aren't mutually exclusive. That's the nature of Chris Gardner's story and to tell it any other way would be to change the story. Exactly my thoughts. Sentiment and emotion are equivalent to eachother, it's practically the same. Yet the genius (critic) refers to it as two opposite designations. On top of that, he says the movie is unrealistic, I guess he missed the ''based on a true story '' part. It doesn't get more realistic then that. Again, the movie is based on a true story so it's ultra-realistic, doesn't get more realistic, plus the movie is positive, it gives people inspiration, hope.

This is also very true. I hope your right about this. To be honest critics are cynical (enter a random curse word here lol). The guy that gave it a 2 out of 10 seems to base his review on his own prejudices. He seems so biased that he basically critisizes it for the lack of entertainment, I mean the movie is based on a true story and anyone who reads the book or knows what the movie is about knows that entertainment is the last aspect to be featured in such a movie. That's the problem with critics, they want it all. They critisized WWW, the movie is a sci-fi pure entertainer and the purpose is only to entertain, yet they critisize it for being to surreal. Well duh. The biggest problem IMO, is they don't critisize on a separate genre, if the movie is about pure action, then your review should be only about that aspect, and not about the phylosophical aspects or the lack of a story etc. I thought BBII was one of the best action/comedy movies ever to be produced. Yet they critisized it for all the reasons except they forgot to base their reviews on aspects strictly like action and comedy. It had the best action and comedy scenes. Borat is a fine example of this, the only aspect of that movie is comedy, yet it has a 90 some % on RT and 8 out of 10 on imdb. Borat is a fine example that shows the stupidity and cynicsm of critics. Also, is it me, or do critics have some sort of prejudices towards will ? Seems like no matter how well he does he always gets critisized and the appreciation he gets from them is very little. For example with I am Legend, if you ask 10 critics what they think about will smith and I am legend, they'll automatically assume it will be another big willy movie.It might be, but you should always get a fair chance with a clean sheet.

It may sound weird or loretta-like but I actually love will for his character, for himself. The real will smith. Not the musician or actor. And anything that gives me an opportunity to see or hear him makes me happy. That's why I try to get all of his stuff wether it's his music or movies doesn't matter. I may not like some of his albums or movies but I stil enjoy them.

I really enjoyed it, and felt that it lived up to the teary and heartwarming trailer. While the movie has an uplifting "go for your dreams" message, the deepest theme is that of family. Will Smith did a great job as the father trying to protect his son from their circumstances of becoming homeless as much as he can, while at the same time trying to work in the competitive world of stocks as an un-paid intern. Jaden Smith was outstanding as the preschool-aged kid who knows things are going wrong and tries to have a stiff upper lip, but just can't do it all the time. The story is very touching and was close to home for me. My family has been through some tough times, and this movie just reminded me of how much my parents struggled to provide for our family and yet kept life fun as much as they could. Unfortunately, yes. Eragon, Dreamgirls and Charlotte's web have the same release date as POH, december 15. That is going to be a mega blow on the box-office success of POH. Eragon is probably going to dominate the box-office, I don't think many people will want to watch dreamgirls or charlotte's web, so will smith's POH will probably be number 2.

It's very funny

In the United States, dramas around Christmas time are gold. It really all depends on the sort of buzz the movie gets before its release. As of now, I haven't heard or read a single bad review of this movie, so there's a good chance that it's the movie of the holidays. I know everyone who saw Oprah will go see it. 75% of the women in the crowd had their hands up when they were asked whether they cried. I say about 85 million. I hope you're right

Well I actually don't feel like this movie is going to make more then 30 on its first week , I think it'll be around 24 the first week at max. and it'll prolly end around the 70 million. I don't know why, but drama's just don't work well at the box-office. The majority of people who go to the cinemas go to be entertained, so hence that's why hitch did well. It was a feel-good movie and it was entertaining. Plus the fact that is was a romantic comedy being released on valentine's day, that's gold. I hope it will do very well, but history and statistics tell us that drama movies tend to not do so well at the box-office.

See the thing is, when you love something so much, you can't quit it. Why did michael jordan made 3 comebacks ? Why is Jay-Z singing again when he said he wouldn't. Because when you love something so much you can quit for a while but after some time it'll catch your mind and body like a virus and before you know your addicted to it and you just simply can't quit.
