Just wondering how often yall listen to JJFP, so I thought that I would drop a poll. I personally listen to them a few times a week. There is a lot of other great music to listen to too, but I find that I listen to them 1nce or Twice a week usually. Gotta keep pushing their music together in hope that we might one day see another officiall JJFP album. :wickedwisdom: Sorry if I didn't cover how often you listen to them in the poll choices. Peace

Jeff has a great point at the end there, about how rock artists make music for rock lovers, and jazz artists make music for jazz lovers. But mainstream rappers try to make music for everybody which is too much pressure. I never thought of it that way, Jeff is a genius. I'm glad that there are still some hip hop artists out there that still make music for people that love hip hop.

Yeah, I think it is a good EP too, overall. It definitely has some dope stuff on it. I just wish J Live used some better beats more often (some of them are really good, and a lot are decent but not that great). His album coming up this next year will be amazing. I think he is one of the true mcs out there that does his thing w/o sellin out and changing the style for more public appeal.

Wow, I didn't know Jeff produced The Incredible (guess I didn't see that in before). I really like that track. I can't say that the production is very good though IMO (besides JJ's beats). I think the weakest aspect of J Lives stuff is his beats aren't always up to par with his rhymes. But Once Upon a Mic is definitely a dope song. Good beat + good rhymes.

The EP dropped today! And itunes pulled through and put it up. I'm just about to buy it. Anyone else remember and bought it yet?

Any room for discussion about the actual movie, The Kingdom? I just saw it last night and thought that it was really good. Everything about it was top noch. Jamie Foxx did a great job in the lead role, and everything about the plot really kept my eyes open. Some of the fighting scenes were intense for sure. I would recommend seeing it.

Yo dude, ease up Julie a little. It sounds to me like the person that asked the address wasn't that serious. Of course everyone has the right to ask anything they want, but its hard know when to take someone seriously over the net because you can't hear their tone of voice. Julie isn't sayin she is a better fan just because she comes on this forum, but merely that 99% of everyone on the WS board are just teenage girls that think he is hot or dudes that just listened to Switch for the first time and decided to check it out. This forum is a place for people that are Jazzy Jeff and Fresh Prince fans, that have been down with his music since Rock the House. On topic- Definitely missed this site a lot yall. Tim, don't ever scare us like that again haha. For real, this place has been a forum ever since I joined and I hope that it will continue to help peeps realize what great hip hop came from JJFP. Heyyyy... Beavis & Butthead is hilarious. Yeah, besides the Beavis & Butthead comment, MTV does suck. Pretty much everything they air now is crap. VH1 does do some good stuff for hip hop, no doubt.
