  1. Game's actually proving he's the bigger man and doing G-Unit a favor here, G-Unit has been irrelevant when it comes to music, Game has done a great job making more quality music, "LAX" is one of the best albums in the last few years and his "Red Room" mixtape is better than most albums that dropped this year
  2. DMX just said F Jay-Z at a concert the other day, that's another rapper that's also more consistant than Jay-Z, once DMX gets his legal issues together he'll be back on top again
  3. Game's a good battle rapper but the rest of G-Unit suck at battling, that's why they should beef less as well, they're not punchline rappers
  4. Yeah Visqo it's you were mentioning in the MC Hammer/Jay-Z post about how Jigga don't want to man up and battle other rappers for the throne and his so-called most famous battle he got "ethered", don't get me wrong Jigga could make good records when he's up to it but he don't back himself up enough to be considered the greatest, if he's such a great battle rapper he should make strong diss records to prove it....
  5. 50 got too much of an ego to squash beef but you can't front that G-Unit could make good music if they choose not to beef with other rappers
  6. I think Game has matured over the years and realised that beefing is childish, if G-Unit got back together in their original form and just focused on making better music then hip hop would be in a better shape, we need unity not beef
  7. Jay-Z is a weak battle rapper, sure he might sell more albums but Nas is leaps and bounds above him
  8. West Coast rapper Game has shared his reaction to Lloyd Banks' assumptions of why he wants to reunite with G-Unit and bury their past beef. Despite Banks saying Game's intentions were to only better himself, the rapper promised his ego and selfishness were both diminished. "I saw what he said & it is what it is.. but I kno da REAL @lloydbanks , a kool n!gga.. who loyalty is wit 50 so I respect it. @50cent was a kool n*gga 2 but sh!t changes sometimes, I was put in a position & I chose 2 ride wit what I BELIEVED IN, don't REGRET SH*T !! TRUST and BELIEVE that @50cent @tonyyayo & @lloydbanks felt my WRATH when it was ON !!! If they say any different it aint REAL !!! But that sh!t was 2005 & now we comin up on 2011....... I'm GROWN, EGO out the doe & I'm 100% gone keep it REAL with YALL & MYSELF !!!" (Rap Radar) The rapper also considered the ultimate outcome of a reunion not taking place. "G-unit reunion might not EVER HAPPEN but NOBODY will EVER be able 2 say "GAME" didnt MAN UP when he had 2 & GO HARD when it was MY TIME !!! I KILLED A BRAND, A CLOTHING LINE & WENT AGAINST MY OWN RECORD LABEL & STILL WENT 5 TIMES PLATINUM !!! More FAMILY orientated now.... Got a woman, 3 beautiful kids... couple houses.. drove EVERY car & been around the world 5 times..."NOT BAD FOR A COMPTON N*GGA" & #ONMYMAMA G-UNIT will NEVER be the same unless its: @50cent @thegame @tonyyayo @youngbuckmarley & @lloydbanks ! #evenCurtisKNOWdat. & you can "RUN & TELL THAT, HOMEBOY & we'll see who's WHO & what's WHAT after the R.E.D. album drop." (Rap Radar) Last week, Banks said he did not feel Game's reunion pleas were genuine. "I always catch wind of what's going on and somebody brought my attention to it, I saw it on Twitter but I don't really got too much negative to say about the situation because I've dedicated so much time to myself, to get somebody else attention due to negativity but what I can say is we did that dance already," Banks said in an interview with radio host Suava. "We did that dance where we formed the group G-Unit to establish ourselves as solo artists and I think it's time for us to pay 50 [Cent] back. It's reverse now. I'm out here trying to better myself as an individual so that when we do form the monster known as the group G-Unit, it'll be that much easier on us. So, if anything, that situation would be going backwards. It's too late to cry over spilled milk. I would be interested to see if those same attempts to reach out to 50 Cent would be happening if he had a number one record on the radio." (Hot 105.5) Over the summer, Tony Yayo imagined what he would do if Game came back to the team. "You know what I think would be cool if Game comes back," Yayo asked XXL Mag staff during a live UStream broadcast. "I'd set him up and smoke him on the tour bus or something. Or throw him off the tour bus or run him over with the tour bus or poison his food, or, I don't know, something. I want him to get back so I can set him up...I don't see nobody I had beef with. We're running around doing our thing and they're running around doing nothing. I don't want to be friends with Game. I don't want to be friends with that guy. That guy's bi-polar. He's gonna say 'F*ck G-Unit' tomorrow. He's crying one day saying, 'Oh, hip-hop,' then he said, 'Oh, I want to be with the Unit,' then he said, 'I don't want beef with n*ggas,' then 'F*ck Yayo.' I don't got time for that man." (XXL Mag) Game was kicked out of G-Unit in March 2005 due to differences with 50 Cent.
  9. Shaq's no joke on the mic, not bad at all for one of the greatest NBA players
  10. JJFP Feat. Slick Rick and Biz Markie "So Fresh"
  11. MC Hammer "Somethin For The OG" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YuuR0RC1b8
  12. Why can't they release the song that MJ did with JJFP during the Willenium time period?
  13. I'm with AJ here, I'll probably give it a listen online but that's about it, I'm just about done with Kanye, his career's and attitude's nothing but a gimmick, I rather spend my hard earned cash on the Public Enemy box set rather than another average at best Kanye CD 'cause when somebody like Chuck D says "F Bush" they back it up with intelligence but Kanye don't
  14. It gets me mad when people say that MC Hammer defending from what Jay-Z said is gimmick but yet they back Kanye for making ignorant comments, these so called hip hop heads need to straight their act out
  15. Simmons: 'Kanye Has No Need To Apologise' Hip-hop mogul RUSSELL SIMMONS has urged KANYE WEST not to change his ways following his disastrous interview on U.S. TV last week (ends12Nov10), encouraging him to "keep on" in an open letter to the embattled star. The Stronger hitmaker sat down with Today presenter Matt Lauer last week (begs08Nov10) in an effort to publicly reply to disparaging comments made against him by former U.S. leader George W. Bush, who branded the moment West called him a racist on live TV as the "most disgusting" period of his presidency. But the chat didn't go as planned and West accused Lauer of trying to manipulate his answers during the uncomfortable interview, which the hip-hop star claimed left him feeling "alone, used and tortured". The controversy has prompted many critics to take aim at West's behaviour, but Simmons insists the rapper has "no need to apologise" because he was simply expressing his feelings as best he knew how. In the heartfelt note, posted on GlobalGrind.com, Simmons maintains West was simply voicing a shared sense of abandonment in the African American community when he blasted Bush as a racist during a telethon for the victims of 2005's Hurricane Katrina. He writes, "When you spoke about President Bush during the Katrina telethon, it was not the particulars of your words that mattered, it was the essence of a feeling of the insensitivity towards our communities that many of us have felt for far too long. "It was the image of the President, our President... peering out the window of an airplane, as the people on the ground were drowning, that hurt us the most. For centuries, our people have relentlessly tread water (sic) as hard as they could to stay afloat, and here we were, literally drowning, and it felt like the President was insensitive. "There is no need to apologise, Kanye. You spoke from your heart and that is all we will ever ask from you. Don't be afraid of the press, as your art is your blueprint... Keep on, Kanye. Keep on. We love you. We cherish you. And we will always have your back."
  16. well the main thing is the fresh prince still records, i hope something special drops for the 25th anniversary of JJFP in 2011
  17. How many albums do 50 Cent and Lil' Wayne have to ruin?
  18. I was listening to this nonstop this afternoon, simply amazing
  19. I found the Do It Roger mix of "Don't Stop", Teddy Riley is the only one besides Roger Troutman who does a dope job at auto-tune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_MVVGWnG7I
  20. 2Pac "Changes"(Original), this is NICE!!!
  21. I like some rappers that people label gangsta rappers like 2Pac, Ice Cube, DMX, and Snoop but they display many sides to themselves that I don't really consider them gangsta rap, they represent the real hip hop, I don't really like categorizing music so much, to quote Common I just like what I like and if I don't like something that don't mean that I'm hating... The problem it comes down to with a lot of rappers today is that they don't try pushing the creative bar and show other sides to themselves, it seems like every song on a Lil' Wayne mixtape is a repeat of the same boring song... Let's be clear, I just can't respect somebody's opinion if they're gonna cuss me and others out in every sentence, that's not being hard, that's being uneducated... They're a bunch of "laptop gangstas" like LL Cool J likes to call them, maybe they should spend more time learning how to read a book rather than spending all day cussing people out over the internet....
  22. I'd be curious to see a lyric or a quote from most of today's radio rappers that's as real as this: Message In The Music(Album Insert Of Active Duty) This recording is dedicated to our country and to the spirit and strength of our people. The diversity of music on this record represents the diversity of our nation. Many people from different ethic backgrounds together making beautiful and powerful songs. I support our president and our nation. We have been attacked and violated. Evil does not recognize peace. Evil only recognizes stength and power greater than it. I pray for our country. Stand up and fight. We cannot allow fear to grip our nation. Fear is not of God. The enemy uses fear to tear us down. Those who want peace must understand that peace is worth fighting for. When you march against our country defending itself, you are marching against freedom and peace. I reject your position but support your right to voice it. The right you excercising only happens in a democratic society. I am a proud US Navy anti-submarine warfare veteran. I talk the talk and walk the walk. To my brothers and comrades in the Armed Forces I love you and support you. USA. Stay alret and focused. We honor you and your families. To the families of the innocent victims, I offer prayers to my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ to comfort you and heal your hearts. We will triumph. -MC Hammer
  23. well that's what i think seperates krs one from other rappers is that not only is he a great lyricist but his music got that boom bap feel to it, some rappers make you feel like you're sitting through a lecture 'cause even though they could spit they got weak beats, then the rappers like rick ross don't have the talent that matches the music they're rapping over....
  24. The thing that I think is funny about a lot of these so called "internet gangstas" is that they got the nerve to say "you should drink bleach if you listen to this soft rapper" like i'm retarded but their favorite rapper couldn't create a whole sentence without using profanity and more than likely the "internet gangsta" is doing the same thing in all their posts, there's countless interviews and posts that hammer's made online and on his album inserts to show that he got more intelligence than a lot of these rappers and they're fans combined.... You could say that Mobb Deep are more lyricists than Run-Dmc but what seperates Run-Dmc from Mobb Deep is that their music is more original and enjoyable, that's why I like Hammer more than Talib too, this is music now we're referring to, not just a poet slam, that's why LL's more of a famous rapper than Canibus after they battled 'cause even though Canibus is a good poet LL makes more enjoyable CDs, you have to be more than one dimensional, that's what seperates the original artists from the others....
