  1. DMX Making Progress In Rehab Saturday, May 08, 2010 12:45 PM | 19 comments By Roman Wolfe ShareThisGet Alerts (AllHipHop News) Rapper DMX’s stint in a drug rehabilitation in an Arizona jail is going very well, according to a judge handling the rapper’s case. The judge denied DMX’s original request to leave the jail and appear on Dr. Drew Pinsky’s Celebrity Rehab television show. DMX, born Earl Simmons, has infamously battled substance abuse over the past decade. He is currently serving six months in prison for violating his probation after he admitted to using cocaine. Before entering into prison, Dr. Drew offered to treat DMX at his center in California. TMZ.com reports that the a Maricopa County judge denied DMX’s request to appear on Celebrity Rehab because he is making good progress in the rehab program he is currently enrolled in, which ends in July.
  2. Will Smith "Momma Knows", Happy Mother's Day!!!
  3. With all these rappers doing album sequels maybe when JJFP do their next album they could call it "Code Red 2"
  4. That's a good article there, B.O.B. is a cool dude
  5. Yeah it's nice to see that he recognises how fans been saying he's been putting out weak music, if more of these weak pop rappers listened to what the fans been saying the rap game would be in a better place...
  6. Yeah a lot of the rappers like Mos and Talib are better and more consistant than Eminem but they never sold themselves out so they don't get that much exposure
  7. B.O.B. Feat. Bruno Mars "Nothing On You"
  8. http://www.sohh.com/2010/05/busta_rhymes_reportedly_renames_new_albu.html New York rapper Busta Rhymes has reportedly changed the title of his forthcoming Chemo album to Extinction.Level.Event.2. Initial speculation was generated from the rapper's manager, Chris Lighty, on his popular Twitter page. The trend of album sequel continues with Busta Rhymes as the New York staple plans another chapter from from his 1998 opus E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event): The Final World Front. Busta's manger Chris Lighty sent out the message via Twitter. Lighty simply said, "Extinction.Level.Event 2 ......prepare yourself." Like the first, E.L.E. 2 is inspired by movies of pending destruction and doom on planet Earth, Lighty said. "From the Intro of the new Busta Album your going to know your [sic] in trouble and you just turned on 2012 the movie on warp speed," he said. (All Hip Hop) Busta also re-tweeted Lighty's Twitter messages on his own page. "RT @clighty: Extinction.Level.Event 2 ......prepare yourself. RT @clighty: From the Intro of the new Busta Album your going to know your in trouble and you just turned on (cont)http://tl.gd/16psfk RT @MonaScottYoung: Heard @BusaBusss is creating the most insane movie with #stoptheparty. Sounds like the party (cont) http://tl.gd/16q37t." (Busta Rhymes' Twitter) Last month, producer Swizz Beatz said that Busta renamed his solo project. "I think Busta changed the title from The Chemo but I swear to you, this album is crazy," Beatz promised in an interview. "It's not, no, no, no, it's crazy. I was impressed, I'm not even gonna lie. I went into the studio expecting to hear something else and I heard something else, back to back." (Rap-Up TV) Busta's E.L.E. album was released more than a decade ago. Extinction Level Event peaked at #2 and #12 on Billboard's Top Hip Hop/R&B Albums and the Billboard 200 charts. Due to the resurgence in popularity of disaster movies around the time of the album's release in 1998, primarily Armageddon and Deep Impact, it can be suggested that the album, the album's title and cover drew much inspiration from these sources. This belief was confirmed when Busta Rhymes explained in an interview that the cover was inspired by the disaster movie Deep Impact, showing his image of an asteroid hitting New York City. 9. I'm gonna give a review from this album real soon, I think if we start giving reviews here like we used to this would give this forum more life
  10. Toni Braxton "Pulse" CD, I just got it today
  11. B.O.B.'s album sold only 85K in the first week despite all the hype, it just shows you people don't buy music these days no matter how good it is which is sad
  12. JJFP "Caught In The Middle"(Love & Life)
  13. I'd love to hear a DJ edit this song from hearing Puffy talk so much at the end and I'm personally sick of rappers worshipping Biggie so much like he's God but Jay Electronica is a breath of fresh air for certain
  14. Yeah this probably one of his better songs since he released "Lose Yourself", it might be one of the better singles out on the radio right now as well, I'm not listening to the radio really but this song and the Nas/Damien Marley Feat. Lil' Wayne & Joss Stone "My Generation" are really the only good recent singles from popular rappers, and like I said in the "What Are You Listening To?" Thread if he does more songs like this on his album I'll give it a chance
  15. Yeah his new single's good and he's been releasing some hot freestyles lately, the way it's looking he might actually put out a better album this time but there's still other artists out there that deserve more recognition... I give him credit for doing music to cater to a certain audience but I'm not that amazed by him to call him the king of music, record sales don't indicate greatness 'cause if that were the case Vanilla Ice would be a hip hop legend since he sold more records than Rakim...
  16. LL Cool J "New York, New York", I love all these unreleased songs that I could find on Youtube, that's how I found that MC Hammer song too
  17. Yeah Puffy ruins basically everything that he's on but Jay Electronica killed those verses
  18. Hell yes, Kid 'N' Play are coming back, that's some great news!!
  19. If Eminem was the top selling artist of the 2000s that doesn't say much about 2000s music, Eminem was one of the worst artists after "Marshall Mathers LP", and from what I heard on his latest single it's a lil' bit better than what he's been doing but it's not that earth shattering that everybody has to push their release dates back for...
  20. 2012's gonna be 10 years since "Men In Black 2", damn that's such a time gap, and if he don't put out any music for the soundtrack of this film then his hip hop career will be over, it'll be 7 and a half years after "Lost & Found" by the time "Men In Black 3" and the way people buy music these days I wonder if he'll actually do something now, this just sucks
  21. Jay Electronica Feat. Puffy "The Ghost Of Christopher Wallace", the future of hip hop is in great hands once he blows up!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-BgsHqggo4
  22. Damn this Jay Electronica is for real, Game recently said he could be the best emcee to come out since Nas and he may be right, this "The Ghost Of Christopher Wallace" featuring Puffy is proof in the pudding, SICK!!!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-BgsHqggo4
  23. LL Cool J Feat. KRS-ONE, Method Man, Jim Jones, and Uncle Murda "5 Boroughs"(Return Of The GOAT Mixtape Version)
  24. MC Hammer "Heartbreaka"(Is What They Call Me) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8L6HOlFTXo
