  1. Y'all named some great songs there, "I Loved You" is such a deep song, "Y'all Know" and "Yes Yes Y'all" got such incredible lyricism, "The Rain" has such real lyrics just like "Tell Me Why", I really like "Afro Angel" too which tells inspiring stories, "Block Party" is a summer anthem, and lately I've been playing "Nothin' On My Mind" a lot, it's such a cool song to groove to
  2. So anybody watching the Finals here? I don't know how much longer the Magic are gonna be in this series if they barely win the Game 3 shooting 63% from the field.... Now if the Lakers go on to win the championship the difference could be from that Courtney Lee layup in Game 2 that shoulda been called a goaltend, even Phil Jackson admitted that should've been a goaltend...
  3. Lauryn Hill's one of the most intelligent and versatile mcs in the history of rap, even LL admitted in his book that Lauryn Hill and the Fugees helped take rap to a higher level, it's not a surprise if some people think that she's dope
  4. Yeah that Mariah song is great, really touching.... MC Hammer "It's All Good"
  5. DMX "Who's Real"(Remix) http://www.allhiphop.com/stories/multimedia__music/archive/2009/06/09/21654589.aspx The Dog Is BACK!!!
  6. Snoop Dogg & Akon "I Wanna F*** You", I'm really into "Tha Blue Carpet Treatment" album today
  7. Snoop Dogg Feat. R. Kelly "That's That S***"
  8. And speaking of "Lost & Found".... Will Smith "Lost & Found"
  9. Will Smith "Coming To The Stage", the quality of those bonus tracks tells you that "Lost & Found" shoulda been a double album
  10. And most importantly an appearance from da Fresh Prince on the album, now that's some BS that they'd kick Jeff off stage, I could see if it was some raunchy garbage rapper but Jazzy's a class act, he don't deserve that....
  11. I had to bring out "The Return Of The Magnificent" album when I read this interview, Jazzy stays busy for real
  12. Wow I didn't know that "The Return Of The Magnificent" went gold, that'd be pretty impressive for an independent album, maybe they're counting worldwide sales since real hip hop's more popular out of the US these days
  13. A lot of the rappers that VH1 Honored over the years already were Def Jam rappers(examples: Public Enemy, LL Cool J, Slick Rick, Beastie Boys), not that I'm complaining, but there's plenty of other legendary rappers who weren't on Def Jam that didn't get honored yet
  14. Once again no JJFP, especially since they were on Jive, lol: http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/news/id.9249/title.vh1-hip-hop-honors-to-focus-entirely-on-def-jam VH1 Hip Hop Honors To Focus Entirely On Def Jam June 4th, 2009 | Author: Slava KupersteinVH1 has decided to have the entire focus of this year's Hip Hop Honors show to focus on the legendary Hip Hop label, Def Jam. The show, which takes place on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 9:00 PM, will commemorate the storied label's 25 years in the industry, including segments on founders Rick Rubin and Russell Simmons. Also a part of the event, as is now customary, many Hip Hop stars will show to perform some of the label's biggest hits, both past and present. In its sixth year, the annual event will be hosted by comedian Tracy Morgan for the third time in a row. It will take place at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Brooklyn, NY. Last year's honorees included Cypress Hill, De La Soul, Naughty By Nature, Slick Rick and Too $hort.
