KRS-One, whose gospel is drawn from his experiences in the Hip Hop game, explained how Hip Hop can be used in positive ways despite the media's negative portrayal of the genre. "You can actually be a deejay and wind up in Hong Kong, China getting $10,000 for twenty minutes. You can actually be a graffiti writer, end up in France somewhere selling your pieces for $20,000 a pop. This is what Hip Hop is experiencing today. But the mass media is just letting you know two things: Hip Hop is about bitches, hoes and niggas. And the whole music industry has collapsed. Damn. Not much left for the kids, is there?" Yeah Eminem's decline has been pretty steep over the years, a lot of great rappers have made some albums better than others but they still showed something to possess their skill throughout their career, Eminem disrespected his art with the crap he did, also I think if you work hard throughout your career you should be given credit where it's due, Will put in too much work to not be mentioned among the great mcs

Learning from and studying someone doesn't mean you cant end up better than them though, does it? I cant say who is better. I much prefer listening to JJFP/WS, but I do consider Eminem to be more complete when it comes to straight spittin. That's a fair point,it's like you could say it's just like Will grew up a fan of the Sugar Hill Gang and he took rap to a bigger level than they did, I do look at things objectively myself, I know there are a handful hip hop artists out there that you could say're better than JJFP/WS even though they're my favorites but Em ain't one of them at this point, maybe if he goes back to his original way of rhyming and is more consistant he could be better than Will one day but at this point he still has ways to go....

I like the article, it's very well written to the point where it's understandable to the average fan that thinks that Will's just this actor that does cheesy pop songs for his movies... That damn Columbia records ruined Will's image as an mc, I mean come on now it's like that skit on "Willenium" with Jaden tellin' Will to put "Wild Wild West" on his album when he had plenty of other great songs for the album(i.e.-"Holla Back"'s one of Will's best songs and it didn't make that album), I think there's a bunch of Keith B-Real's out there just like the skits on the "Big Willie Style" album who hate on Will with their ignorant reasoning(they act like Will forgot about Jazzy Jeff and Philly when he got real famous, they think he don't make real rap music 'cause he don't curse or rap about guns, etc...) and btw I like the reference you made to the "Lost and Found" song as well, it's something fans should take heed to and give Will the credit he deserves as one of the great mcs from the golden era of hip hop that paved the way for it being as big as it is today... I never said Eminem can't spit but in reality Eminem studied Will's flow when he grew up, it's just like how Lebron James studied Michael Jordan's moves when he grew up....

Chuck D's the most powerful voice in hip hop, the CNN of the industry, the rythm the rebel, the hardrhymer, 'It Takes A Nation Of Millions...' is the greatest album of all time to me, Em caught a bad break deservingly so, and Black Thought vs Big Boi was probably the toughest decision for me to me, I admit I went for Black Thought but that's not a knock against Big Boi, and of course I know there's some The Game fans on this board, I like a lot of his more recent stuff too, but he still got a long way to go before he gets to Will's level....

I was already saying that I was expecting Will to lose to Eminem but 9%?? 9%?? 9??, that just doesn't seem right at all, it just shows you how few people actually study their hip hop history... Will's had a more complete and consistant career, he did 9 albums so far in never falling off creatively, each album Will's done is on a different level, even "Born To Reign" is more creative than Em's been in the last 7-8 years, while Eminem's on his 5th album with his last 3 on a weak level compared to his 1st 2, to say that Will' s not on the same level as Eminem is a complete joke... These idiots talk like Eminem won the 1st rap grammy, their knowledge of hip hop is just embarassing,(like Will said on "Lost and Found" "1st ever rap gramy/let's talk about the only reason yo ass was in Miami") Will's one of the trailbrazing mcs with a consistant 20+ year career on the mic, if everybody knew the facts it'd be the opposite with Eminem getting 9%, Redman's also been more consistant than Eminem so he should win this third round, now if Will lost big to Redman I could live with that... In reality to see Will getting 9% is just as dissapointing as seeing a weak Eminem album selling 600,000 while a great Method Man/Redman album only sells 60,000 but I guess that's the way it goes... And of course I can't fail to mention that pic is hilarious....

BamF's comments were so ignorant that I wasn't even gonna comment but really though when it comes down to it I think Dr. Dre's older than Will too, so you can't say Will's too old can you? Dr.Dre hasn't dropped an album in almost 10 years, he's a producer more than a rapper, like it was said earlier here he's an ass that doesn't keep it real either.... I know that it's a fact that if 2Pac and Biggie were still alive today that they wouldn't be that popular... The fact is that they both sold more records when they died than when they were alive, not to say that they weren't talented but that's a fact...How could you say JJFP failed in the 90s? The 90s were when JJFP were at the peak of their music, Will proved how he was realer than most rappers 'cause he stayed true to his art and sold millions of albums while gangsta rap was at its peak throughout the decade, you need to check the facts before you talk so ignorant....

Don't forget about KRS-ONE vs MC Shan, now that's what I call a classic battle, it's a tough call to say which battle's the best ever, but there's no question that I do enjoy that LL Cool J vs Canibus battle probably the best 'cause like Turntable mentioned, what LL did on "Ripper Strikes Back" after Canibus released "2nd Round Knockout" was phenomenol and it fired up LL to come back to make a classic album with "G.O.A.T.", the reason why Canibus was never able to recover is 'cause he's not that great of a song maker like LL is
