  1. will should've publically slapped eminem 20 years ago, no more mr nice guy haha, but seriously chris rock was out of line, he deserves some criticism too, will shouldn't melted down in the public but you can't mess with mama
  2. I THINK I'D DIE AND GO TO HEAVEN IF THIS HAPPENED
  3. hey tim i've been mad busy lately too but i'd love to get on a zoom with you and other jjfp heads and talk about bel air, the will book, jeff's work, jjfp, and hip hop history, pick some brains for a bit one of these days....
  4. well will is one of the highest selling hip hop artists of all time(on ja rule's birthday i was reading a post saying he sold 30 million albums i mean get the hell out of here now for god's sake none of his album's came close to big willie style status), he needs to get more credit for his musical work solo and with jeff, people only give him credit for his acting career but keep in mind him and jeff helped put hip hop on the commercial map with the first grammy in history in 1988 and 30 years after that the video he did for the world cup in 2018 is one of the highest viewed videos of his career on youtube that's a testament to longevity not even ll cool j or chuck d have 100 million views 3+ decades later, if there was a jjfp album it's a possibility it could outsell kanye west, jay z, eminem,(btw it'd be a tragedy to see both eminem and jay z go to the rock and roll hall of fame before him and if that fool kanye ever gets in the hall of fame should shut down hip hop forever what a damn joke so many pioneers like jjfp rakim krs kid n play and nas should get in first way before them) and all the so called top names of today, props should be given, he did it all the classy way, a bulletproof 10+ album career with over 20 billboard hits between jeff and will over the last 35 years without one parental advisory sticker, not even ll cool j or krs one could claim that, you could say jjfp should be in the hip hop goat discussion way more often
  5. AMAZING! SNOOP + KRS SAVED HIP HOP THIS MONTH, IT'S LIKE 97 AGAIN, COME ON BIG WILLIE STYLE 2022 JJFP
  6. it's a miracle we're all here in 2022 to celebrate the legend's b day, show some love to hip hop royalty
  7. illmatic is a great album don't get me wrong but that wasn't the only great 90s hip hop album
  8. to me this should be hip hop album of the year one of the best ever to get on the mic, rest forever dawg
  9. i got my book in the mail today i have more respect for fresh prince after reading some of this, he's a true class act of a person as well as an artist....
  10. ...for example dieheart hip hop heads like me tim and aj think miami is one of will's least lyrical songs, if a proper lyrical record like don't say nothin was a single fresh prince would be ranked higher as a lyricist, to me that goes hard like a krs/rakim song....
  11. lll cool j and fresh prince are both as talented as emcees, it's just that def jam promoted ll cool j better than jive/columbia promoted fresh prince
  12. i just ordered the will book on friday, gave myself an early holiday present
  13. scarface is an all time great but he needs to focus on his life and health, i'm sure in due time he'll be back though once things improve...
  14. big willie good seeing you brother, it's a great time to be a jjfp fan, with the will book, king richard, and mag mob jazzy jeff site it's like lost and found 2005 all over again, and other things in hip hop with the krs one vs big daddy kane versuz battle has been bringing interest in old school hip hop again, ll cool j and jay z made the hall of fame has been exciting, i've been catching up with other hip hop books like 50 cent's autobiography, eminem's biography, and jay-z' decoded as well studying how other artists think and do their thing and i've been doing my thing too, keeping busy writing music and doing zoom group therapy classes has been beneficial during the covid 19 time, i do freelance online stuff too, looking forward to 2022 and the future 2020s years to be a resurrection of real hip hop...
  15. it's the #1 book out right now, it's on my christmas wish list, he should drop a jjfp album right now, there's a lot of buzz, jeff is getting love with his magmob site, people are craving the old school hip hop....
  16. i'm not sure i'm interested in reading this book now after all this bull**** coming out about his affairs leaked in the book
  17. If it was 10 years ago i'd say against Heavy D and the Boyz but now that he's passed I'd say Kid N Play, LL Cool J, MC Hammer, Salt N Pepa, Queen Latifah, KRS One, or Eric B and Rakim would be good choices. we need to bring back the classic hip hop...
  18. i'd consider nas and common more gospel hip hop than i would kanye west, i heard kanye's breaking records for most streamed gospel music, it's a good album, but it's not epic, although that drake trash is getting a lot of streams right now too, people called will smith and mc hammer sell outs back in the day but their music was legendary and there was a lot of quality music selling back then too, the internet killed quality music...
  19. he should release a lost and found inspiring type song for the soundtrack, win a grammy and an oscar....
  20. well i'd never consider kanye the greatest hip hop artist or anything but how many good albums are out these days? there's a reason why i don't blame will for not putting out music anymore, i wouldn't want to be associated with these wack rappers and kanye's still better than drake and 90% of these so called rappers out in the last 10-15 years...but on another note nas and common put out great albums recently but it's sad how people are so damn focused on record sales that they don't give them a listen...
  21. classic, boyz ii men has been my favorite r and b group for all 30 years
  22. ...on another note though i believe one thing that seperates kanye west from other mainstream rap artists is that i need to give credit where credit is due, if he never released the college dropout album in early 2004 who knows if will smith would've released lost and found album a year later in 2005, let's pray that donda could do the same thing here for will....
