  1. Yeah if you look at the charts you see all the popular rappers represent an image that FP don't potray in his songs, he might say nice comments about Nelly and 50 Cent but you won't see him rushing to do a song with him 'cause they make songs about guns and hoes on the most part and FP don't, but hey so does Snoop and Luda and he did songs with them, a lot of us give praise to Snoop Dogg but let's be real he's the godfather of the pimp image that 50 Cent and Nelly represent so it's not as much of a stretch to see FP do collabs with some of them out now if they could keep the content non-pimp for the song just like when FP did the "Pump Ya Brakes" song with Snoop, it wasn't a gangsta song, it was a hip-hop club joint, maybe FP would do something like that with them, I see that as a way to bridge the gap between commercial rap and hip-hop artists, instead of them being divided and beefing with each other... But collabs hasn't a top priority for him on the most part of his career but since he came back in the mid-90s he started to do more but we need more collabs with Jazzy instead of everyone else, the one thing that matters most is doing another album with Jazzy, he don't need any other guest appearances on it "Jeff + Prince= Hit Records" .... btw, FP's gonna be doing a compilation album so if you want a lot of guest appearances, check out for that album, I'm a lil' excited about that but I'll be dissapointed if there ain't a JJFP album soon.... btw, I'm still dissapointed about FP not having those songs on the "Bad Boys II" soundtrack, sure the soundtrack sucked, but it'd been better if he released one of the songs he recorded for his own movie as a single, I think they were solo tracks too not collabs, that'd probably had more people anticipating his next's album... I like the way FP does things on the most part, work with ol' school and new school mcs, except he needs to have Jazzy produce more for him, I'm surprised Tim never tried to get JJFP to work with Hieroglyphics since he's a such a fanatic of them, do the hookup man, lol...
  2. I think it'd be interesting to see Will make a rhyme to one of his more serious roles, I'd loved to see him make a tribute song to "Ali", that'd been awesome!!!
  3. It's scheduled to come out March 21st
  4. Do you think the average commercial fan would actually like it though? I heard a lot of people from the media that reviewed the album said that it sounded like Will bited Jadakiss' "Why", if black radio refuses to play this song, they'll never play Will and're heartless fools...
  5. Bow Wow can't be reading the Ill Community board if he comes back with that kinda weak response, they ethered him!!! :willvspaparazzi:
  6. Well so far I'd say that it's too early to tell how the album'll by only hearing 3 tracks, "Todd Smith" doesn't really make that much sense for a title since "G.O.A.T. featuring James T. Smith" and "Mr. Smith", maybe that might be a good sign of a trend though since both of those are classics so maybe this'll be a classic too, but the music matters the most here so onto the music now: "Control Myself" should get a lot of airplay with the youth and maybe even win some ol' school LL fans back 'cause it's an '80s club vibe to it, it's a good first single for marketing, "Whatcha Want" is a raw hip-hop track where LL and Freeway both rip it on the mic, and like Turntable says basically "LL and Santana" was a Juelz Santana song with LL only having a short verse, it's hot though, something that could get a lot of burn on mixtapes, I'm interested to see how that track with Mary J. is, that'll probably be one of the top ones on the album...
  7. Will laughed it off when Eminem dissed him 5 years ago so I don't see him wasting his breath on Bow Wow unless he's still relevant in the public eye 5 years from now and we'll get "Mr. Nice Part II" in 2010, if people are still talking about this Bow Wow-Big Will issue lol, more than likely though Bow Wow'll fade off 'cause Eminem is Rakim compared to Bow Wow, I have doubts that it's true but if it is he said the right thing anyway...
  8. "...you know if you read the article closely I never mention Will Smith in the movies. My comments was toward the music." I think Bow Wow said something about how Will's movies in that XXL interview too if I'm not mistaken and he said that he's gonna surpass Will's movies too, he did diss Will's acting too, he said Denzel's much better than Will...he said Will don't make movies that mean anything, he didn't obviously read what they printed in that article but that's exactly what he said, he said he didn't diss Will's movies but he did.... Obviously this fool don't know how to read, but this is what he said in the XXL interview, this fool's lucky that Will's a team player and letting him live 'cause if he said that about me I don't if I'd be able to hold back not responding publically: "Will Smith can act, but he does more of those blockbuster Hollywood movies, which I wanna do. But also I wanna do it like Denzel. Movies that really mean something. I feel like I can definitely be better than him."
  9. It's already posted man!! Delete this topic... :bat:
  10. Obviously this another immature kid, if you're really a JJFP fan register, if not don't post these ignorant posts here anymore, we should pay punks like you no mind, there's no more to discuss between Will and Eminem, moderators lock this topic please!!! :paperbag:
  11. This compalition album sounds dope but a new JJFP album'd be even better!! :word:
  12. Uh Ice Cube's 1st movie was "Boyz In The 'Hood" 16 Years Ago!!! :stars: Anyways I'm looking forward to his album, it'd be interesting if Will did a track with Ice Cube, it'd be something that not a lot of people would expect, he should get Jazzy to produce the track too...
  13. Is FP gonna release that album through Interscope or is he gonna be on another label? With the "Lost and Found" album being certified platinum, he should still be signed to Interscope... I don't care for Interscope much but I'm hoping he sold enough to not get dropped 'cause we'll have to wait for him to get on another label before we get more music and that's not good...It's good to know that Kel's getting some deals offered too him, now he won't have to settle for Bad Boy, lol... Things are looking good....
  14. that's what i'm saying though, how could you expect will put up big numbers if the media resists him? he outsold a lot of rappers that got heavy rotation on mtv and black radio stations, i swear everytime i turned on hot 97 last summer i heard them play fat joe's "get it poppin'" but yet he didn't even go gold, will could've easily bricked with no support from the media, maybe the live 8 and the nba finals performances saved the album... it's industry politics holding will back, i mean how the hell could fat joe get a top 10 on trl and 106 & park selling 200,000 albums while Will sells 600,000 and can't make the countdowns? would fat joe sell anything if they didn't play him? hell no, he only sells 'cause of spins but not that many people really wanna hear him, they jump on the bandwagon when something gets played a lot, people buy will's album 'cause they respect his talent, not marketing and promotion, now if he had a lil' bit of promotion there's no question that "lost and found" would've scanned platinum on 'switch' alone if it got in the top 10 on trl, 106 & park, and black radio, plus getting on the cover of the source or xxl, but that ain't happening though, will might have to punch a sucka out to play him, lol... people wanna see will's videos more than fat joe's of the game, it's obvious since more people buy will but the media don't play them though but will don't fit the radio format as a clean artist, "black radio/they don't play me though/even though the fans went out and bought enough/guess they think will ain't hard enough"
  15. will could've released more singles and sold a lil' more but 'cause of his clean image he probably wouldn't outsell 50 Cent or Game no matter how much i'd like him to, he could release 5 singles but it's not a guarantee it'd sell even 2 million 'cause there's a whole competition of 100 gangsta/crunk songs on the radio out at the same time, this album's not as radio friendly as even the black eyed peas who're basically the other non-gangsta/crunk hip-hop artists selling, he could sell millions again if he made every song like "if you can't dance" and "switch"... Common had all that hype plus 3 hit singles and only did 750,000, he should've done better than that, sadly he wouldn't gone gold if it wasn't for kanye who's the hot hitman on the producing board/mic right now who went double platinum but that'll wear down after awhile, but you think about it everybody else in the commercial rap market is either gangsta or crunk, seriouly it's hard to find a market for real mcs like will, if mc hammer and heavy d weren't big then maybe "summertime" wouldn't have been such a big hit either at that time, times changed, it ain't that diverse market in hip-hop anymore, so it's a great comeback that has me anticipating more...
  16. delete this since bow wow responded in that allhiphop.com interview, it's unnecessary to harass Bow Wow now, we could let him live!!
  17. i don't like either of them so i ain't listening, artists always have to name drop somebody just to get interest in their work, it's ridiculous...
  18. I think Will got gold plaques for "Born To Reign" and "Code Red" even though they sold only like 200,000+ but hey he deserves every plaque he gets 'cause he works hard... If you think about it though it evens out with the bootleggers and the illegal downloads that don't get tallied, it'd probably add up for a 200,000 album to sell 500,000 and a 700,000 to sell 1,000,000...
  19. will said that he wants time to rest though, as long as he does some work on music during this downtime i'm happy, he deserves to have a break like everyone else and enjoy some of his success
  20. I agreed when AllHipHop.com made Will Smith man of the year, that's a legitimate time where I agree with the media, there are times where they do give real artists their due but a lot of the times they promote the junk but I guess you gotta take the good with the bad like anything... Bow Wow probably read that article in admiration too, he just putting up hype to keep up his image but when it comes down to it he'd never wanna step to Will on the mic, the same goes for when anyone else disses Will, they wouldn't do it in his face, if they all really think they're better than Will they'd challange him to a live battle but they know that Will would kill them... Let's just "Wave 'Em Off"...
  21. Well do you want Will to work with Jeff on the JJFP album or do you want him to go out with Mary promoting "Tell Me Why"? He's only one man, he can't do both...
  22. A year ago if you told me that "Lost and Found" would go platinum I wouldn't believe you 'cause the material on this album is not catchy enough for the average commercial rap fan who wants to hear songs about rims, sexual fantasies, cash, and glocks and all that nature that every other famous rapper talks about but I guess there were enough real hip-hop fans out there that made it possible, it's great to know that there's still a market for Will, he outsold 90% of the thug rappers too, it's a great feeling, bring on a JJFP album!!! This along with the AMA should give a message to Jimmy Iovine that if he puts more focus into marketing Will's future albums there they could sell a lot, Will's career in rap ain't dead yet...
  23. Now if hip-hop don't work out for Nick Cannon, I could see him having a solid career with acting/comedy 'cause that young brotha got talent, can't front on it, I'm not that offended if you compare certains things of him to a young FP 'cause he got potential, but Bow Wow's garbage all the way around, he knows it too, he's just trying to hype himself up to see how long people'll be stupid enough to buy his album, somebody gotta tell him that you can't be a real mc if you don't write any of your lyrics, if I was interviewing him I'd brought that up, what a joke!!! How could you be stepping up in your lyric game if you only write a part of 2 songs on an album??!! He said many times that he didn't write anything on his first couple albums so they shouldn't even count, by the time LL was 18 he wrote classics that the hip-hop world are still singing today... I saw allhiphop.com doing a feature on Britney's husband too, they shouldn't be promoting that crap, they should be doing articles on mcs that matter not these gimmicks if they represent true hip-hop, they hype all of this beef crap too, that's what wrong with the rap game right now, the media sucks!!! Shame on anybody who buys Bow Wow's crap, that's the last time I wanna even discuss this fool!! :paperbag: ...
