  1. well 25 cent must not know the music buisiness, if he's lyrically better than 50 he won't sell, you only need to make pre-school rhymes to sell millions these days, the more lyrical you are the less you sell....
  2. I wish 50 could rhyme like this now, these lyrics are legendary compared to the weak preschool rhyming he does now, but in perspective his stuff then was slightly above average, he's garbage now, he never did anything groundbreaking and never will, his next album'll flop and his gimmick'll run in the game end...
  3. That song came from 7 years ago, that was when 50 Cent was in his prime with witty lyrics like Eminem, this song actually reminds me of a "My Name Is"/"Real Slim Shady" type song, it's just a joke song that shouldn't be taken serious...
  4. Well if 25 Cent gotta use beef with his cousin to get recognition that means he don't have much talent, that's sorta as low as what 50 does when he beefs with other famous rappers to sell records, I'd like to see anything associated with 50 fade away from the spotlight, if 25 really got talent he'll make it on his own without jumping on the beef bandwagon, oh hell maybe I should diss 50 Cent too so I could get a deal... :hmm:
  5. Well actually not really 'cause I think that the collabs'll make the album more interesting, I think "G.O.A.T. Featuring James T. Smith" is one of his best albums he's done and that had a lot of collabs, hopefully "Todd Smith" is on the level as that album....
  6. Who knows maybe 25 might be more talented than 50, don't judge him until you actually hear him, hopefully that doesn't mean that he's half of what 50 is though, 50's bad enough, that's why it's more predictable to say that corniness runs in the family, especially with coming up with a corny name like 25 Cent, hopefully 25 is actually good if he blows up 'cause I don't wanna hear anymore wack rappers, lol, if it was LL's cousin maybe we'd anticipate more 'cause of how great LL is...
  7. It's too early to tell how the album's gonna be but March ain't that far away so we'll see soon enough, I'm looking forward to seeing the movie wit Queen Latifah when it comes out this week too, it sounds like they had a lot of fun hanging out on the set....
  8. The last time I saw him he was in Juelz Santana "Mic Check" video and I saw him give props to Eminem recently but maybe that was an old quote that Shady Records brought out to promote Em's greatest hits but he don't make any comments about anything Will or LL does....
  9. I think LL mentioned FP in an interview a couple years ago but he gives FP props more than anybody else, LL got no beef with anybody right now, he's like FP, he shows love to basically anybody in the game.... btw, FP gave Rakim props on 'Lost and Found' and quite a bit of his interviews, did Rakim ever mention FP? Rakim doesn't really say much about anybody, as a pioneer of hip-hop he should be a lil' bit more supportive towards those other pioneers that're still out there like LL and Will....
  10. Maybe LL means that the material'll be a lil' more personal than his recent albums if he talks about opening up, there'll probably be more personal songs than club songs on this album...
  11. LL Cool J Plays Shy Guy Role Says It Reflects Real Life -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LL COOL J PLAYS SHY-GUY ROLE IN 'LAST HOLIDAY': But rapper says character wasn't that much of a stretch. courtesy of www.eurweb.com *LL Cool J has known Queen Latifah for decades through mutual adventures in the rap game, but neither had really gotten to know each other until production began on their latest film, "The Last Holiday." "I didn't know Latifah has the sense of humor that she has," said LL during interviews for the movie this past weekend in Los Angeles. "I knew she was a nice person, because I've seen her around many times for years, but I didn't know she had that type of a sense of humor. I didn't know she was so laid back and relaxed." At nights during the shoot, LL said his crew spent time with Latifah's posse tearing up the local bowling alley, "going crazy and sliding down the lane," laughs the rapper. "Sliding into home base to get strikes." Hopefully, audiences will laugh as much in the theater as the actors did during their free time. The film is an update of the 1950 film starring Alec Guiness in the title role of George Bird, an agricultural machinery salesman who find out he hasn't long to live and embarks on a last holiday. Latifah, as Georgia Bird, is a cookware salesperson for a New Orleans retail outlet who takes a dream vacation to Europe upon finding out that her days are numbered. LL plays Sean Matthews, a shy, soft-spoken man who carries a secret torch for the lady. "That's the thing that made [the role] attractive," said LL, who turns 38 on Saturday. That was the fun part of the role, the fact that it was an opportunity to play against type, against what people expected me to do. Most of the time, especially in film, people are gonna assume, 'Oh, it's a rapper, it's hip hop.' So this was an opportunity to do something different." Despite the role being a departure for the New York native, LL says he shares one trait with his character. "What a lot of people don't know about me is that I am shy," he says. "I've never been the guy who went up to girls and asked them for their phone numbers. He wasn't that far away from me, as far away as a person may assume. We all have different pieces to us and different aspects of our personality." Born James Todd Smith in Bay Shore, Long Island, LL has been busy these days taking advantage of the opportunities introduced as a byproduct of phenomenal success in the rap game. In a road similar to his co-star Latifah's, platinum records were followed by a television series, then films and, eventually, business ventures. "Every rapper or musician who goes platinum or double platinum is gonna get a movie opportunity, that's just the way it works. Whether you like it or not, that's just the truth," admits LL. "But are you gonna be able to take advantage of it? Is it something you love? Do you truly wanna do it? Are you killing time? Those are all questions that get answered over time." For LL, opportunities that have come his way include a nine-picture production deal at Lionsgate and his Todd Smith clothing line, two ventures that give the rapper as much joy as a hit record. But those aren't bad either. His next disc, titled "Todd Smith," hits the street in March with Jennifer Lopez on the first single, plus guests appearances by Mary J. Blige, 112, Ginuwine, Mary Mary, Teairra Marie, Lyfe Jennings, Pharrell Williams, Jermaine Dupri, Juelz Santana and Broadway. In explaining the use of his birth name as the album title, husband and father of four says it's because, "I'm revealing something else. I'm going to another dimension musically that's totally different from what I've done in the past. It was an opening up. I was more collaborative with the writing than I've ever been, I've allowed other people to be involved with helping me write the songs, with creating the music. It was like an opening up and inviting in of everyone."
  12. this would be the perfect time to release it 'cause this is something that all radio stations would play, Jimmy Iovine is too busy kissin' 50's ass to do that though...
  13. It'd be funny to see 25 Cent blow up and expose how fake his cousin is, I wonder how many cents there are in that piggy bank?! :bat: 50 Cent is a fraud and it's believable he don't take care of his family 'cause he said on MTV when he was speaking with Sway that he don't raise his son, I guess that tells you how many heartless people are in this world, they ended up buying his album anyway, if I was a fan of his I'd never buy an album from him again once I heard that 'cause if you ain't supporting your son, I ain't supporting in buying your album with my hard earned money....
  14. I think 25 Cent might sound a lil' bitter but a lot of what he said is true, 50 does go around acting like the world evolves around him, the fame has gotten to his head, it ain't a shock to see 25 Cent call 50 Cent selfish like it'd be when Ready Rock C calls Will selfish....
  15. What about grandma and grandpa, Curtis!? 50 Cent vs. 25 Cent: Round 1 Tuesday - January 3, 2006 Andres Tardio 50 Cent's one of the most powerful figures in hip hop today. His notoriety spans the globe and his associates are successful in their fields. So why is his cousin unknown? Two Five, who also goes by 25 Cent claims he is Curtis Jackson's legitimate cousin and he spoke to The Chicago Sun-Times about his life, his cousin and his own rap career. The 22-year-old 25 claims he and 50 grew up together in Jamaica, Queens under their grandmother's roof. He also claims the two were a tight-knit duo who were known around the neighborhood as brothers, rather than cousins. According to 25 Cent who claims he acquired his nickname when he was younger, 50 doesn't want to let the world know about him in order to protect him from his beefs. Regardless, 25 is prepping his career without his cousin. He's got a debut project which he plans to release independently and has completed a DVD as well. In the interview, 25 says he considers 50 a mentor, but that there is no relationship between them at this point. In his responses, 25 spoke about how 50 Cent has changed since he became a much-talked about celebrity. "I think when people get a little money they really don't show their true colors. But when you get big money and you're in a different tax bracket, you start to feel yourself more than you're supposed to, you get cocky," he says about his cousin's changes. 25 also spoke about his family's attitude towards 50. "I think he's lonely and bitter. I think he's that way because there is nobody around you to share your love with. You're making all that money just to have 15 security guards, two trucks and nobody around you that really cares for you. And when all your money is gone and there is nobody else there for you, you gotta come back to family and that's even if we'll accept you," he claims. He went on to further explain his cousin's lack of financial support for the family. "He don't give back to his family not one bit. He's supposed to take care of my grandmother and my grandfather because they took care of him. I don't think he wants to put that situation out there. His whole excuse for not bringing me on is, 'It's dangerous, people trying to hurt me, people trying to do that to me, and the closest thing to me is you.' And that's true, but my whole thing is why you are bringing the camera crews around the same house you know your family is still in. All that money you got you can't help your family get out of the 'hood. Maybe not even me, but you do have cousins who have children and aunts who got bills. But you buying your homeboy a $100,000 chain." 25 also believes 50 simply does not want him to shine. "I think it would be wise for him to try and prevent me from getting out because, lyrically, I am better than him. I think the best thing for him to do is to just not say anything about me, whether they acknowledge me or not, I see you at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I still see you when you come to the house, whether you want the world to know or not. My whole thing with 50 is he just does stuff that makes him look like a hypocrite. In one article you'll say, ''Yeah, that's my cousin. He's a fraud, he's this, he's that.'' Then in another article you'll say, ''I don't know him.'' Then you'll say, ''I don't break peace with nobody, it is what it is.'' But, yet you kissing Game on the cheek at a press conference. And you can't talk to your family?" 16. I'd give them a dap and say thank you for being an inspiration for me and ask 'em to write down their phone number or email so I can keep in touch with them... :kekeke:
  17. Hopefully Will's in the studio with him... :pony:
  18. Yeah it's a lil' dissapointing to know that the JJFP track was one of the worst tracks on the album to say the least, when Tim said that there was gonna be a JJFP intro I was really expecting something on the level of "Somethin' Like Dis", well it could've been worse, it could've had a great intro like "Born To Reign" but then the rest of the album could've been The "Chosen One" track would be perfect intro for me 'cause it's a raw hip-hop track that would've been a dope way to start off the album, "Here He Comes" sounds too commercial to be an intro for a deep hip-hop album like "Lost and Found", maybe it would've been great for "Born To Reign", "Born To Reign"'s track would've actually been more fitting for this album...
  19. Well the idea of the podcast is to get people to recognise JJFP for all the great things they've done so we shouldn't get too critical on what they've done wrong 'cause all the great artists have made sub-par songs/albums in between, not just JJFP so don't be so critical, but I don't see nothing wrong with a lil' crtical points in between, like I think "And In This Corner..." deserves a lil' criticism too since it's JJFP's worst album, it makes discussion more interesting.... :wiggle:
  20. I actually think Will flows better on "If You Can't Dance" than "Here He Comes", Will sounded better when he spit those rhymes over "How We Do" than he did over "Here He Comes" which is also probably one of Jazzy's worst produced tracks, the intro is weak compared to "I'm Comin'", "Somethin' Like Dis", or even "Y'all Know".....
  21. I heard that song before, I actually think that they did a better job with it than JJFP did, that's why I think "The Chosen One" should've been the intro for "Lost and Found" instead, maybe after critics heard the song they thought that Timbaland was on there
  22. Maybe we should start a movement for hip-hop fans to boycott watching the Grammies since they nominated 50 Cent's wack album instead of "Lost and Found" for hip-hop album of the year 'cause we know how many hip-hop heads are dissin' 50 these days..... :pony: Will needs to release "Pump Ya Brakes" with Snoop and they could clown Bow Wow: "If you're underage and acting all grown, what you need to do is: PUMP YA BRAKES!"
  23. :word: Even if you don't agree with everything he says, Kanye got passion for music, like I said in that post there ain't no beef between 50 and Kanye, but anyways that's what I don't like much about 50 he always runs his mouth in interviews dissin' other mcs but then puts out a wack album, he's actually right about how he started Kanye's career in a sense that a lot of 50's fans got sick of 50 and started becoming Kanye fans, lol. These artists should let the music do most of the talking for them, if you gotta go around and do something or say something just to get in tabloids that means your music ain't good enough. And if your music sucks you need to pump ya brakes and get back to work... Kanye's trash talking in interviews is easier to put up with since at least he puts out good music but maybe if he loses his ego a lil' bit maybe more'd wanna check out his music too...
  24. Big Boi, Jay-Z, and Killer Mike "Flip-Flop Rock"(2003, Speakerboxx)
  25. Puffy and Jay-Z wrote a $1 million check to victims of Hurricane Katrina, most peeps in hip-hop don't have that kind of money but I think a lot of rappers do help people behind the scenes, cameras don't show that side of hip-hop often, only when trajedy strikes, I have no problem with Kanye criticising President Bush either 'cause most of America also agreed that the way the Bush administration handled that was wrong, people in the hip-hop community should be using their energies to "Fight The Power", mcs should be beefing against the corporations that refuse to play positive hip-hop songs and videos with a message and the government that constantly ignores the black community instead of using their energy in a negative way by critcising other mcs all the time, like for Kanye to come out and say that he should win the grammy award is immature, he shouldn't be just trying to get personal glory, that offends other artists, he should continue to focus on just being a positive influence, no hip-hop artist is bigger than the game.... Like my parents taught me when I was young, you need to treat people the way you want to be treat, President Bush should do his job if he wants respect from the black community and at the same time Kanye should just make good music if he wants respect in the music industry, people cry out for respect without putting in work while the ones who put in work don't beg for respect. Will might say some things in his songs about how he wants more respect in the rap game but he don't cry about that in interviews. I don't think there's nothing wrong with mcs battling either but they should just leave it as entertainment on the mic, they shouldn't take it personal when they meet up with each other off the mic, we don't need brothas killing brothas, Pac and Biggie being lost are enough. Will doesn't put down everybody that disses or ignores him, he's humble, he stays above negativity and that's why he's still in the game and'll remain in the game for as long as he desires to be, the ones who diss him fall off 'cause they don't put in work, they just hate without getting anything positive done, negative energy brings people down, if Kanye keeps crying about getting respect, he'll alienate all the people who like him already....
