  1. I doubt that Interscope'll release more than 4 singles off of "Lost and Found", especially if it ain't going multiplatinum yet, they're not gonna spend over a year promoting an album, I actually think that "Tell Me Why" would be the last single of "Lost and Found" no matter how big it is. Hopefully when JJFP tour next year they'll record new material so we'll get a new album next year, it could come out faster as long as Will's on Interscope still, the reason why we had to wait 3 years for "Lost and Found" to drop was 'cause Will was shopping for a label to go on but that's not the case now so we should get something faster now.
  2. LL does a lot of movies too though, he's actually done more films than Will has or at least the same amount, I think he's done over 20 films and is scheduled to do 9 more like they said in that article but his movies don't really get the recognition that Will's movies do so people might not know that, he's actually done 10 albums at this point too, "All World" is a greatest hits album, he's only done one more studio album than Will has, if we count JJFP's "Greatest Hits" as an album you could say Will did 10 albums, but LL released his 1st album 2 years in '85 before JJFP released theirs in '87 so he got a head start.
  3. Here's more info on LL's new album: http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1513279/2...108/story.jhtml "LL Cool J is putting the finishing touches on his 12th album, My Favorite Flavor, due in February. Mary J. Blige, Ginuwine, Teairra Marí, Juelz Santana, Freeway, Mary Mary and Lyfe guest on the LP, which was produced by Scott Storch, Jermaine Dupri and others. ..."
  4. :word: Happy Thanksgiving Y'all!
  5. I find it funny when artists release new albums they say it's the best work they've done in their career and then when they release an album after that they say that their last album was weak and that this one is the best album of their career. :willvspaparazzi: That'd be even funnier though if some artist said: "This is the worst album I've ever made but please go out and buy it still."
  6. Yeah well actually it was probably a media member backstage that asked Will about 50 Cent, it reminds me of how every football player is forced to comment about Terrell Owens right now who's another famous controversial figure, that sorta throws everybody into a corner like if they say something negative about them then more controversey'll happen so you have to be politically correct about what you say, Will probably got no beef with 50 but I'm sure he probably disagrees a lot with what 50 does but he doesn't want beef so actually you could understand why Will praised 50 there, it's all good and it shouldn't be taken that seriously...
  7. If you don't like "Hustler's Ambition" then you wouldn't like his underground stuff, some of it's good but I wouldn't ever call it groundbreaking or legendary music, it wasn't crap like that "Candy Shop" though, with all of this exposure I'm tired of 50 Cent period myself, maybe if people stop talking about him for a year then maybe I might wanna listen to him again.
  8. I understand what ash trey and topdawg are saying here, it's definately more of an A&R and media problem than a problem with the artisst since there's no balance and I understand that a lot of rappers are contradictory but things change over time that makes opinions change so they're not really contradicting like critics might say they are! :word:
  9. If Will wants to be a team player and a "big brother" in the rap game he shouldn't criticise rappers at all 'cause that'd bring mixed signals, I mean some of Will's fans might like gangsta rap since everybody has different tastes, that could alienate fans doing that, doing those type of songs like "Lost and Found" and "Mr. Nice Guy" go against what he's about, he doesn't criticise other people so openly like that usually, he should just do his thing and sell records and let other people do their thing too even if they criticise him 'cause like he once said: "I retaliate by being great" but songs like "Lost and Found" and "Mr. Nice Guy" shows that he's stooping down to their level.
  10. Look I personally don't care if Will's friends with 50 like I said earlier and I don't mind if Will says that Eminem has "mad skills" but he shouldn't criticise the state of the rap game in his songs, maybe he only cares about that 'cause "Born To Reign" was a flop, if he was selling millions of albums still he probably wouldn't make "Mr. Nice Guy" or "Lost and Found" songs. I ain't callin' him soft but I'm saying he's giving fuel for haters to call him soft 'cause he criticises rappers for polluting the youth and then he gives them props and then he wonders why people diss him?! It's gonna be harder to defend Will after awhile 'cause he's doing things like this, but hey everybody contradicts themselves I guess... :hmm:
  11. Pratically that whole song "Lost and Found" is a diss to gangsta rappers, what's the point of doing those type of songs if you're gonna turn around to give those same people you dissed props? That's actually just as fake as somebody rapping about shooting guns when they don't even own guns in real life, Will shouldn't have done "Mr. Nice Guy" either if he was gonna give props to Eminem at the same time, he's making himself look foolish, I guess Will just said that he had somethin' for Em only to gain buzz for his album sales, he must really hang out with 50 then 'cause that's a publicity stunt to sell more records when in reality he didn't diss Em and comes off lookin' like a soft punk when people were expecting him to really come hard at Em, especially since he was responding 5 years later, he loses integrity by kissing up to somebody just 'cause they have higher record sales than him, he won't get any more credability in hip-hop than those wack mcs if he does that, he should "Don't Say Nothin" like he says in his song if he don't really mean it! He might as well just jump on the G Unit bandwagon so he could sell more records if he loves gangsta rap that much.
  12. You wouldn't consider calling someone's music brilliant and honest a compliment? :hmm: Will should just stop dissin' what other rappers are doing and just do fun storytelling tracks with Jazzy Jeff instead 'cause haters'll diss Will for dissin' gangsta rappers one minute then praising them the next. Deep down I thought it was also stupid that Will was saying that Em has "mad skills" when he said that he was gonna make a song to set Eminem straight, I got a lot of respect for Will but this is one thing I just don't get, real talk since I'm not being a Loretta.
  13. Kanye West and Common should've been nominated with their albums along with Will's "Lost and Found" being the winner, which were truely the best albums this year but at least Will won one award, I don't even think Common and Kanye got nominated in anything which is shocking to me, I figured they'd have a better chance of winning than Will would realistically.
  14. That's one thing I don't get though is that Will disses gangsta rap and then he turns around to give the gangsta rappers props like that, I could see him giving Pac and Biggie props but what subject matter has 50 released to be considered a dope mc? I don't see him doing no songs like "Brenda's Got A Baby" or "Juicy", that's like when KRS disses rappers on the commercial scene for putting out negative messages and gimmicks to sell millions of albums but then he gives props to Eminem, I mean I thought Eminem is the one who puts out the negative messages and gimmicks to sell millions of albums ruining the art of hip-hop at the same time, if Eminem's not doing that then who is? People could call them hypocritical for dissin' gimmick rappers then giving them props but I guess beefin' wit them won't solve anything either. Anyways, where was Jazzy Jeff at last night? I didn't see him there, he should've celebrated with Will, JJFP better perform at the Grammy's!
  15. Jimmy Iovine's probably aware that Will's relevant enough to release another single since he won that award, we might even get a 10th album from him in 2006 as well! :word: :yeah:
  16. Yeah it ain't like 50 ever dissed Will or anything like that, maybe 50's not really a bad person in real life, his music isn't taken serious as reality anyway...
  17. 50's ignorant but I doubt he'd be that ignorant to diss Will, he recognises who the "Chosen One" is!
  18. Will could be friends with 50 if he wants to, I have no problem with that, he could give 50 lessons so he could become a better mc. :kekeke:
  19. Let me rephrase on what I said the other day: Will Smith is the king of pop, he's "Born To Reign", 50 can't unseat the throne! :2thumbs:
  20. It's amazing that Will was able to win this award without so many big name guest appearances on the album, in fact Snoop and Luda didn't win anything either so that shows you how relevant Will still is!
  21. Yeah Will's definately one of the greatest entertainers of all time, one of a kind! :word:

  23. Ever since the sampler machine came out in the 80s, basically every song in hip-hop music is sampled, Dr. Dre samples, Jazzy Jeff samples, Kanye West samples, KRS-ONE samples, etc... "Born To Reign" is most likely his biggest dissapointment, I think he probably shelved Tra-Knox's album after that. "And In This Corner..." was another dissapointment in his music career so it's probably that one although I think it's a solid album too, "Code Red" was also a flop too that many critics and fans dissed commercially but Will says he likes that one though since he knows that's probably his most street cred album he released, I think "He's The DJ.." is probably his favorite one, that's what Jazzy Jeff said on his board that he enjoyed working on that one the most.
