  1. Mobb Deep's only dope album was their 1st album, everything else has been average and signing with G Unit only confirms that they've now headed for mediocre status, I won't even bother to check for their next album 'cause they're sell-outs too. :nhawong:
  2. Die "Switch" Die! :lolsign: "Party Starter"
  3. I listen to it quite often still myself I'd say at least 3-4 days a week I'll listen to it still, mostly in the beginning of the day to get me hyped. :yeah:
  4. :interesting: I'm sorry I didn't wish you happy birthday then, well better late than never.
  5. Here's some more details: "Autopsy Can't Explain Death of 49ers Guard By EDDIE PELLS AP Sports Writer DENVER - The cause of offensive lineman Thomas Herrion's death cannot be determined until toxicology tests are performed, a process that usually takes three to six weeks, a coroner said Sunday. The 23-year-old offensive guard for the San Francisco 49ers collapsed in the locker room Saturday night, minutes after the team's exhibition game against the Broncos on a 65-degree evening in mile-high Denver. He was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead shortly after. "We didn't see anything happen," 49ers defensive lineman Marques Douglas said. "I sat by my locker and prayed for him." Howard Daniel, an investigator with the Denver coroner's office that performed an autopsy on Herrion, said nothing was readily apparent about why he died. "There's no conclusion, pending further studies," Daniel said. The death once again spotlights how dehydration and obesity affect athletes, especially the huge linemen who play in the NFL. Herrion was 6-foot-3, 310 pounds - fairly average for an NFL lineman, but considered obese within standards routinely accepted by the medical community. "Our thoughts are with the Herrion family and the 49ers," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Sunday. "We have been in contact with the 49ers throughout the day to offer our assistance and to learn the details of what happened." Herrion, who played in college at Utah, was on the field for San Francisco's 14-play, 91-yard drive that ended with a touchdown with 2 seconds left in the game. After the game, he was noticeably winded as he walked off the field, but didn't look much different than teammates who played beside him at game's end. The death comes a little more than four years after offensive lineman Korey Stringer of the Minnesota Vikings died of heatstroke during a training camp practice when the heat index soared to 110. NFL teams since have increased efforts to teach players about how to manage the heat. On Saturday night, temperatures in Denver's thin air were in the mid-60s with 50 percent humidity, although experts say heatstroke can happen even in cool weather. It is not known whether Denver's mile-high altitude could have contributed to the death. As a college player at Utah, Herrion played games at high elevation and would have been more used to those conditions than many. In 1979, St. Louis Cardinals tight end J.V. Cain died of a heart attack during training camp. Chuck Hughes, a Detroit Lions wide receiver, died of a heart attack during a 1971 game in Detroit against the Chicago Bears. In April, Arena Football League player Al Lucas of the Los Angeles Avengers died of a spinal-cord injury after making a tackle. Herrion, a first-year player with the 49ers, spent part of last season on the San Francisco and Dallas practice squads. He also played this season with the Hamburg Sea Devils of NFL Europe. Herrion played in junior college at Kilgore College in East Texas. Travis Fox, the offensive coordinator at Kilgore, said Sunday he shared an apartment with Herrion for two weeks this summer. Herrion had returned to the school to get in shape before reporting to the 49ers. Fox said Herrion never struggled during intense drills in 97-degree heat. He added that the lineman had no injuries or health problems while playing at Kilgore. "The young man was in shape," he said. Herrion's nicknames at Kilgore were "Train" and "Big T." Fox said he was called "Thunder" in Germany because his head was too big for a regular helmet. Fox said Herrion always talked about his niece, and family was a big motivation for playing. "When he got here," Fox recalled, "the first thing he told me was, 'I'm going to make this team and buy my mom a nice house.'"
  6. :iagree: If the video comes out it'll be dope to see but if it doesn't it's aight with me 'cause the only that matters to me is that I enjoy the "Lost and Found" album, there's no more to say since I already expressed myself quite a few times in this thread, I think we all made our points in this thread already too, there's no need to overstress, you gotta understand that this is a buisiness, a lot of videos/albums get delayed and it isn't the artists fault, it's messed up though. :ponder:
  7. I'm gonna definately check out "14 Shots To The Dome", I don't like it when peeps diss "Code Red" by saying that JJFP sold out to gangsta rap, peeps thought that MC Hammer was going gangsta too when he released the "Funky Headhunter" album but that wasn't the case either, the music just had a more aggressive sound but Hammer still spit positive lyrics, I wonder if those haters actually listen to the music before they diss sometimes. I hope MC Hammer makes a comeback again 'cause he deserves more props than what he gets too, I don't like it when people say he's wack as Vanilla Ice, Hammer has clearly had a better career since "Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em", "Too Legit To Quit", and "Funky Headhunter" were dope albums, Vanilla Ice is a one-hit wonder, that's like comparing Pac to Biggie, Pac was clearly better to me and I'm from the east coast but I'm sorry Biggie was ripped hard on "Hit 'Em Up", that's just how I feel but I need more Pac albums too, I only got "All Eyez On Me" and his greatest hits, I downloaded some tracks off "Me Against The World" but I never got a chance to buy it yet, that's one of the next albums I'm gonna get. '87-89 and' 93-'95 seem to be the highlight years in hip-hop, it's like all my favorite albums of all time come from that era, I'm hoping that it could get back to that soon, by the time I started listening to hip-hop in '96 it started dying, especially after 2Pac was murdered, now there's only a few good albums and rare classics in between, I hope to actually witness a golden era soon.
  8. I'm gonna be voting for Rev. Run's video to get on 106 & Park until "Party Starter"'s video comes out since he's a JJFP potna, it's important to get all ol' school hip-hop mcs back to the top again!
  9. I didn't even notice that til you mentioned it.. yeah why is it there?! ← Maybe he made it for all the thugs that don't listen to music without an explicit lyrics sticker so they'd peep that beyatch out fo shizzle! I'm starting to seriously doubt if the "Party Starter" video'll ever come out.
  10. Yeah I heard about that and since my favorite NFL Player Donovan Mcnabb's on the cover too I'm gonna cop this when I get a chance.
  11. Yeah what`s up with Naughty By Nature?Ted? :azzangel: ← I didn't know that they were working on a new album, Treach was on Rap City a few months ago sayin' that Naughty By Nature's shopping for a label to sign them, there's no word yet if they're even signed somewhere. If I find out any news on them I'll post it here, well in the meantime I could get some more Naughty By Nature albums myself, I only have their last 2 and their greatest hits, which I enjoy very much, I need to get their earlier stuff, definately all the ol' school albums sound more appealing right now than anything out now, I just got Queen Latifah's "Black Reign" a couple weeks ago that I've been playing everyday since I got it, I think I'm gonna get LL's "14 Shots To The Dome" and "Bigger and Deffer" to complete my LL collection, I need "Rock The House" to complete my JJFP collection still too, I need to get Nas' "The Lost Tapes" still to complete my Nas collection and I need some BDP albums to complete my KRS-ONE collection, plus more Public Enemy and Hieroglyphics, I might start trading in some albums I rarely listen to to get those, that should keep me busy for the next year or so until some new good albums come out. :lolsign:
  12. Oh well since I was anticipating buying only DMX and PE right away, I'm gonna buy some ol' school cds instead and buy the other stuff later! :davidblaine:
  13. I'm tired of waiting for this video, I went through watching a lot of wack videos just to see if it was gonna debut yet and I'm tired of it, I guess the industry politics are too much for FP to save hip-hop, a nation of millions is holding us back. :damnlorettas:
  14. Let`s start a movement! :lolsign: ← Something does need to done. :3-laugh3: Seriously though it's wack that 100 garbage albums come out before a good album comes out. :damnlorettas:
  15. I don't get why they can't push back G Unit's albums and release Public Enemy, damn A&R's, I want that DMX album too! :ShockRifle:
  16. This is what Chuck D said on publicenemy.com, he mentions "Rebirth Of A Nation" comes in Jan. '06 and "How You sell Your Soul to A Soules People Who Lost Their Soul." in June '06, he mentioned before about another album "New Whirl Order" but that'll be just an internet release sometime next year: "Finally playing ASIA on PE tour #54 has been a treat. I told my guys in December 2003, I had to woodshed to create and navigate things necessary for these world adventures. It took a year and a half and here we are Aug 2005. The new PE albums were dictated by the business of distribution to appear 6 months apart as new product. Since 2 records were created in 2004, an order had to be determined. Good buddy PARIS recorded Rebirth Of A Nation earlier this year. Although it would've been a great time to splash these new records on their own timings, we were quickly reminded that the business of retail has its own order. In the short term there were some issues and difficult business clashes, but time is the governor here, and in the long term the effect will be positives galore. January around MLK day will be Rebirth and June 2006 is looking like How You Sell Soul to A Souless People Who Sold Their Soul." btw, with Kanye West producing Nick Cannon's album, he might actually have some success on it when it comes out, everything that Kanye's done lately been touched to gold or platinum, I don't like him much but I have to admit that he's cranking out them hits.
  17. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lineman collapses, dies after preseason game By EDDIE PELLS, AP Sports Writer August 21, 2005 DENVER (AP) -- San Francisco offensive lineman Thomas Herrion collapsed in the locker room and died Sunday morning, shortly after the 49ers played the Denver Broncos in a preseason game. He was 23. Herrion, a 6-foot-3, 310-pound guard, was on the field for San Francisco's 14-play, 91-yard drive that ended with a touchdown with 2 seconds left. Players had finished listening to coach Mike Nolan address them in a postgame meeting when Herrion collapsed. Medics administered CPR on him and took him to an ambulance that rushed him to a nearby hospital. About three hours later, 49ers spokesman Aaron Salkin confirmed that Herrion had been pronounced dead. The cause of death was not immediately known. ``This is a colossal tragedy for the 49ers and the entire NFL community,'' Salkin said. ``We still do not know all the details. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Herrion family.'' The death comes a little more than four years after offensive lineman Korey Stringer of the Minnesota Vikings died of heatstroke during a training camp practice on a day during which the heat index soared to 110. Since Stringer's death, NFL teams have increased their efforts to teach players about hydration and how to manage the heat. They have been experimenting with sensors to measure players' core body temperatures, although those by themselves wouldn't be able to prevent a heat-related death. Temperatures were in the mid-60s with 50 percent humidity Saturday night in Denver, although experts say heatstroke can occur even in cool conditions. After the game, Nolan said he had no comments about San Francisco's 26-21 loss to the Broncos. ``There are more important things on our mind than the game,'' he said. ``Right now, our thoughts and prayers are with Thomas Herrion.'' Shortly after that statement, the Niners got dressed and boarded buses that took them to the Denver airport for their flight back to California. Salkin said coaches notified players of the tragedy at the airport. ``We didn't see anything happen,'' Niners defensive lineman Marques Douglas said. ``I sat by my locker and prayed for him.'' Herrion, a first-year player with the 49ers, played college ball at Utah and spent part of last season on the San Francisco and Dallas practice squads. He also played this season with the Hamburg Sea Dogs of NFL Europe. Stringer's death was thought to be the first of its kind in the NFL. In 1979, St. Louis Cardinals tight end J.V. Cain died of a heart attack during training camp. Chuck Hughes, a wide receiver for the Detroit Lions, died of a heart attack Oct. 24, 1972, during a game in Detroit against the Chicago Bears. In April, Arena Football League player Al Lucas of the Los Angeles Avengers died of a spinal-cord injury he endured while making a tackle.
  18. I think De La Soul is going on tour with Common and Kanye West in the fall so maybe they're working on a new one, "The Grind Date"'s holding me over pretty well though since that's a hot album. At the moment things are not looking good but hopefully when Kanye West album drops, a lot of other quality releases drop after. Chuck D said in his new terrordome that there'll be 3 Public Enemy albums coming out next year and there'll be a Public Enemy tour in the fall, they're actually doing performances in Japan right now, Public Enemy lives on the road. KRS-ONE's still doing his world tour still too so he probably got some heat for us in late '05/early '06, he actually is rumored to be performing with some international rappers on his tour so he's stealing Will's idea, well he could get JJFP on it and make it a double album. :lolsign:
  19. Here's a few more that came to mind that really get me hyped: Queen Latifah "U.N.I.T.Y." Naughty By Nature "Uptown Anthem" Heavy D feat. Flava Flav "You Can't See What I Can See" DMX "What's My Name?" DMX "Bloodline Anthem" De La Soul "Stakes Is High" Salt-N-Pepa "Somebody's Gettin' On My Nerves"
  20. Yeah that's what it's supposed to be but anything from Run-Dmc will be better than any of the crap out now, Rev. Run's "Mind On The Road" sounds like the typical Run-DMC rap-rock type track, I doubt it's gonna be a straight rock album like somebody here said, DMC will be experimenting more, they're the ol' school version of Andre 3000 and Big Boi, they both got different styles.
  21. Yeah I don't think there's gonna be a new Jay-Z album out right now, he's too busy being president of Def Jam, but I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back with something one day since most rappers who retire come back like DMX and Mase who retired but came back again, I think rappers just say they're retiring for attention, it's getting rediculous now, they should just be like Will and just take a year or 2 off and then just come out with somethin' without sayin' they're retiring.
  22. I'm actually kinda dissapointed about this summer, I thought the delay of "Party Starter" was bad enough, I was also looking forward to the Busta Rhymes, DMX, and Public Enemy albums coming out the most before any other albums but instead we get crap albums from Ying Yang Twins, Tony Yayo, Young Jeezy, and even Vanilla Ice before we get those albums, I was expecting this summer to be much better than it's been, I thought it'd be a golden summer to bring back hip-hop to where it needs to be especially with "Lost and Found" dominating the charts, that's getting my hopes too high though I guess, but hopefully those albums you mentioned actually come out in the fall and take the attention off of G Unit 'cause I guess it's too late for Will to make that much impact since the album's fading away, damn Interscope! :noooo: btw, wasn't Redman and Foxy Brown supposed to release albums on Def Jam this summer too? I don't understand how Jay-Z could release Young Jeezy's crap album before DMX, Redman, and Foxy Brown albums, that's not a smart move! :thatspdiddybad: Jay-Z doesn't even rap anymore that much and yet people say he spit the only good verse on that Young Jeezy album. :lolsign: There's supposed to be Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane, Q-Tip, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, and a Rakim album on Talib Kweli's label coming too but I ain't gonna get my hopes too high. We could also look forward to Kev. Brown, Lil' Brother, and Skillz albums too on the underground scene too this fall. Is Kel Spencer coming out soon? JJFP should take Kel Spencer on tour with them, that'd get him some exposure.
  23. Is DMX' new album comin' out soon? I've been listening to a lot of his stuff lately, Jay-Z needs to release that album since he's president of Def Jam, it's time for DMX to take over the game again, a lot of peeps sleep on his skills, he can rip all these wack commercial rappers to shreads, they shouldn't keep delaying his album.
  24. Why Is This Posted Here? I thought this section was for creative material from us JJFP fans, this is off-topic! Y'all already know how I feel about 50 Cent so I ain't gotta say no more. :lolsign:
  25. It's like Del from Hieroglyphics said in "Stay On Your Toes" which you could say Mase is doing by following G Unit: "Big mistake rappers make The cake They want it now So they copy whose the hottest now they soundin' funny style I know you hungry pal, me too I need food But I don't redo what he do"
