  1. I notice that they have that "There's A Poison Goin' On..." CD at my local library, I'm gonna check it out this week and give it a listen!
  2. That's the only day I watch usually, recently they had a girl named Jazz go to the hall of fame representin' for 'Jersey! :2thumbs:
  3. :word: 106 & Park sucks, it's just the black version of TRL, it's corny as hell and should be taken off the air!
  4. The song's on their "There's A Poison Goin' On" CD that came out in '99, I never heard the album but the lyrics are posted on Public Enemy's website, Tim probably heard it since he has the album autographed by Chuck D himself, btw speaking of PE, they're releasing a greatest hits CD that came out today called "Power To The People And The Beats" for $7.99 at certain retail stores and unfortunately their new album "Rebirth Of A Nation" won't come out till '06 now, supposedly there's supposed to be a new album released in this fall "New Whirl Order" through the internet, PE's staying busy, hopefully they go on tour with JJFP at the end of the year, anyway here are the lyrics to that song: "Swindlers Lust A Dollar A Rhyme But We Barely Get A Dime If You Don’t Own The Master Then The Master Own You Who Do You Trust From Swindler’s Lust From The Back Of The Bus Neither One Of Us Control The Fate Of Our Soul And Swindler’s Lust Hickory Dickory Dock Hand In My Pocket Robbed Me For My Chocolate Mo Dollars Mo Cents For The Big Six Another Million Led To Bled Claimin They Innocence Is It Any Wonder Why Black Folks Goin Under Cause N-----s Be Sold In Bundles No Pressure Tell Me Why They Don’t Care Rap And R & B Pavin The Streets Of Bel-air From The Sales Of Singers No Longer Here The Bigger Killer Gets The Bigger Share Now The Ones I Attack The Negros Got Their Back And Know 80-20 Is A Whack Contract Forever Lack The Voice Of Real Black Stole Rock And Roll And Ain’t Gave It Back Started Off My Defense Now They’re The Ones I Defend Against Who Fell Up Into The Tricks **** The Fight The Power S--- Get That Chuck D N---- Fixed And Keep Him Up Outta The Mix Well Hell Tell Em Chuck Don’t Suck No D---- Be An Ass And The Ass Get Kicked Hand In My Pocket Robbed Me For My Chocolate Watch Em Swindle Yo Ass And Turn A Profit If You Don’t Own The Master Then The Master Own You Who Do You Trust From Swindler’s Lust From The Back Of The Bus Neither One Of Us Control The Fate Of Our Soul And Swindler’s Lust They Don’t Care About Me They Don’t Care About You They Don’t Care About You And Ya Crew Ya Family Neighborhood And Plus They Don’t Give A Damn About Us Profit Off The Soul Of Black Folk Turn Em Into B-----z And N-----s And Stupid Ass Jokes Laugh Wit Us Or Laughin At Us That Is What I’m Guessin We Interrupt This Program Wit That Question Laughin All The Way To The Bank Remember Dem Own The Banks And Dem G-Damn Tanks Now What Company Do I Thank Ain’t This A B----- Heard They Owned Slaves And A Ship That Sank If You Don’t Own The Master Then The Master Own You Who Do You Trust From Swindler’s Lust From The Back Of The Bus Neither One Of Us Control The Fate Of Our Soul And Swindler’s Lust This Is For The Blues People In The Delta This Is For Everybody In The 50’s That Didn’t Get Their Money Little Richard Gettin Half A Penny A Penny All The Super Soul Singers Of The 60’s All The Bands Of The 70’s On The Outside Lookin In All The People That Didn’t Make A Dime Off Their Session Playin And Even The Rappers In The 80’s And The 90’s Still Tryin To Get Paid For What They Put In If You Don’t Own The Master Then The Master Own You Who Do You Trust From Swindler’s Lust From The Back Of The Bus Neither One Of Us Control The Fate Of Our Soul And Swindler’s Lust"
  5. :yeahthat: Or ask if they heard "Lost and Found" yet, that would be more casual and they won't think you're only trying to spam.
  6. Palmeiro Suspended for Steroids Violation By DAVID GINSBURG AP Sports Writer BALTIMORE - When Rafael Palmeiro became the fourth player in major league history to collect 3,000 hits and 500 home runs, his status as a future member of the Hall of Fame seemed somewhat secure. That topic is again open for discussion, along with a new one: Palmeiro's credibility. Five months after telling Congress he never used steroids, Palmeiro on Monday received a 10-day suspension from Major League Baseball after testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug. The players' association challenged the positive test in secret proceedings, and the penalty was held in abeyance until arbitrator Shyam Das decided Monday not to overturn it. No longer able to deny using steroids, Palmeiro insisted he ingested a banned substance by accident. "When I testified in front of Congress, I know that I was testifying under oath and I told the truth," the Baltimore Orioles' first baseman said during a telephone conference call. "Today I am telling the truth again that I did not do this intentionally or knowingly." Palmeiro's peers could only hope he was being honest. "I don't know what he's been taking, but personally I don't think he's taken anything illegally," Chicago White Sox pitcher Mark Buehrle said. "I don't think he's ever taken steroids or anything illegally to help himself to play." That opinion was shared by White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen. "It's a shame," Guillen said. "If he did it, and a mistake was made, I don't have anything bad to say about Raffy. Raffy's a great player." Certainly, the numbers Palmeiro has put up are a testament to his greatness. On July 15, he joined Hank Aaron, Willie Mays and Eddie Murray as the only players with 3,000 hits and 500 homers. Baseball would not say when the positive test occurred, but there's a chance that he joined that exclusive fraternity while steroids were in his system. If nothing else, those who decide his entrance into the Hall of Fame might wonder if his lofty numbers were the product of talent - or steroids. "I hope that people look at my whole career and appreciate that I've given everything that I've got," Palmeiro said. "I respect the Hall of Fame, and if they think that I'm worthy enough, I would be very honored. And if they don't, I gave it all that I had to this game." Palmeiro, 40, was adamant in his assertion that he accidentally ingested the drug, particularly because on March 17 he declared before a congressional committee, "I have never used steroids. Period." Without being specific, the four-time All-Star left the impression that the banned substance was contained in a supplement that was not prescribed. "Why would I do this in a year when I went in front of Congress and I testified and I told the truth?" he said. "Why would I do this during a season where I was going to get to 3,000 hits? It just makes no sense. ... I'm not a crazy person." Christopher Shays of Connecticut, the No. 2 Republican on the committee that investigated steroids in baseball, said in a telephone interview: "He ended up being the most outspoken against steroid use, and even this guy is in a situation where he's been suspended. It just blows me away. Obviously, it calls into question every accomplishment he's had." Palmeiro also expressed indignation over accusations made by former slugger Jose Canseco, who cited Palmeiro as a steroid user in his book. In an interview on the CBS television show "60 Minutes," Canseco - who also testified before Congress - said he had injected Palmeiro with steroids. Canseco told CNBC on Monday that while he accused Palmeiro of prior use, "I do not believe right now or recently Rafael Palmeiro has taken steroids." "There could be a metabolite from the past," Canseco said. "No one really knows how long steroids last in your actual system." It wasn't clear whether Palmeiro's test was taken before or after he spoke before the congressional panel. Anyone who lies under oath could be potentially subject to criminal perjury charges; Congress has the option of referring the case to the Justice Department, which would decide whether it's worth pursuing. Union head Donald Fehr said the suspension "should serve to dispel doubts about our determination to rid baseball of illegal steroids, or the strength or effectiveness of our testing program." Orioles executive vice president Jim Beattie agreed. "I support the efforts in drug testing by Major League Baseball and the Players Association in order to retain the trust of our fans," he said. "It is very unfortunate that process has brought us to this situation at hand." Playing without the 40-year-old Palmeiro on Monday, the Orioles lost 6-3 to the White Sox, their 12th defeat in 13 games. Baltimore played brilliantly in the first half of the season, occupying first place in the AL East for two months and giving Palmeiro cause to believe he might get to the World Series for the first time. Upon his return from the suspension, he first hopes to regain the trust of his teammates. Palmeiro will then try to help the Orioles salvage a season that has taken a dramatic turn for the worse. "I hope I can have their support and understanding of what I'm going through," he said. "Hopefully, they can accept me and let me come back and finish the season and help them get back to the playoffs." Baltimore manager Lee Mazzilli said his players were "a little disappointed," but wanted to support their teammate. "The timing obviously is not good. "We're going to have to make do right now. We're going to have to band together as a team and fight through it."
  7. Hey that D12 thread is invalid, they musta deleted it already, I don't expect too many Eminem teenyboppers to support Will 'cause they don't give a damn about saving hip-hop, they think it's great the way it is now! I say we hit up the ol' school hip-hop forums first if there are any 'cause they'd be the ones that'd most likely willing to support Will if they haven't already! We need to plan this out and figure out who's gonna post at what site, that way the plan could be orgainzed, the first thing we should all post here in this thread and say that we're willing to help then we could figure out how many are doing it, then we assign certain forums for each of us to do. Of course I've been trying already when I post on certain of my favorite hip-hop forums, I mention about the album once in a while and when the album dropped Tim and I mentioned about it over on Public Enemy's board and we got some of their fans interested in it, a lot of their fans seem to respect JJFP 'cause when they talk about ol' school hip-hop they usually mention them as one of their favorites.
  8. The future in the NBA is now, teams don't wanna think about 5-10 years down the road, they usually wanna win now, Shaq's a great player now so they re-signed him, Dwayne Wade might turn out to be a bust in a few years too, nothing's guaranteed.
  9. Happy Birthday FUQ, enjoy it man! :Party_fest09:
  10. I post this link over in Lorettaville a couple hours ago but nobody responded, that place is a dump! :thatsux:
  11. Two words, Michael Jordan another question what was the biggest contract money wise that MJ got ?? ← :word: Shaq is the most dominant center of our generation but Michael Jordan is the most dominant ever in any position during any generation, don't get that twisted! Michael Jordan made 30 million dollars a year at the end of his contract with the Bulls, Shaq makes a lil' more of 20 million, he's earned his contract too, how many dominant players have their been in the last decade besides MJ? Exactly, Shaq's the man, Kobe wouldn't have/might not win a ring without him and you know it.
  12. Yeah, it's definitelty great that Party Starter is rising even before the official release of the album. It definitely looks like it is going to do well upon the official release. I believe that black radio and radio in general will play the song weven with the message in the third verse, though some have stated that they would not and that they believe that it is likely that Party Starter wouldn't do well. I for one think that it will do well. Can't wait for the video to come out. ← Well there's gonna be some haters no doubt but if the hip-hop community could rally around suppporting this track, it'll be huge!
  13. Shaq isn't overpaid like 50 Cent is, he's one of the hardest working players in NBA history, he's earned his money, he's the greatest big man in our generation and he's a generous man, that'd be like saying Michael Jordan's overpaid, he always gives back to the community, he ain't overconceited, he could probably outrhyme a few rappers too, possibly even 50 Cent right now, 50's earlier stuff is better than anything Shaq made, but some of Shaq's stuff ain't that bad either, lol.
  14. Hey Lerkot this is what I've been thinkin' about too, we need to get the hip-hop community to rally behind Will and get "L&F" to the top of the charts, I see a lot of hip-hop fans complain about how messed up the game is right now but it seems like they don't take much action and a lot of them actually talk about buying Nelly albums just to see how wack it is and they ignore that Will dropped a positive hip-hop album, action must be made, each of us should go on other forums and mention Will, try to get them to vote for "Parter Starter" when it comes out and see what happens! You could do a search and find a whole bunch of hip-hop sites, we could assign different sites for each of us to go on, if 50 people do it and we all do about 3-4 sites, we'd hit over 200 sites, that could be a big help, this is a great idea, let's pin this topic, I don't know about leaving my comp on all night though, lol.
  15. LL Cool J "Boomin' System", one of my favorite all-time LL jams, perfect for this time of year! :jazzy:
  16. And with 50 Cent. :lolsign: ← No comment! :lolsign:
  17. I'd like to see Will freestyle over these instrumentals: Dr. Dre "As We Ride" Afrika Bambataa and Zulu Nation "Planet Rock" Eric B. and Rakim "Paid In Full" BDP "Criminal Minded" Nas "Ain't Hard To Tell" LL Cool J "Boomin' System" De La Soul "Buddy" Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh "The Show" Public Enemy "Shut 'Em Down" DMX "Get At Me Dog" Jay-Z and Biggie "Brooklyn's Finest"
  18. We all go through bad times, sometimes worse than others but there's a lot of moments to be fortunate about too, even if nothing spectacular might not seem to happen everyday to you but just seeing another day is spectular enough 'cause a lot of people don't, that's why we try to stay positive even when things are bad 'cause gettin' down will make your situation worse, I've been looking for a job myself for months but I'm grateful for not starving since my parents help me out until I get one.
  19. I missed this show just like I keep on missin' Bobby Brown's show unfortunately, I'll peep out for it this week, I wanna see TLC's show too, I keep on missing the good shows since there's only crap shows on when I'm home, I might have to start settin' my VCR, lol.
  20. We gotta get Will to read this post that way he could understand how his fans feel about "Party Starter" being delayed and that he needs to do a collabo with KRS and Chuck, lol! :smart:
  21. I doubt that it'd be "Big Willie Style" that he'd think sucks 'cause he always speaks highly about that album 'cause it had so many hits on there, he always performs "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It" and he says "Just The Two Of Us" is his most personal song, but I'm not a big fan of "Men In Black" either, maybe when I was 12 I was but that song got boring to me in recent years, that's the weakest song on that album to me. Maybe Will means "And In This Corner..." sucks, that album was about as weak as "Born To Reign" for his standards, he doesn't even perform "I Think I Could Beat Mike Tyson" anymore, lol, there's so much I'd wanna talk to him about, I would also ask him what his favorite album would be besides any of his own and probably a whole bunch of other stuff that'd come to mind and of course mention this site and tell him he should come by and post once in a while, lol.
  22. Public Enemy "Bring The Noise", Happy Birthday Chuck D! :dj:
  23. This is great news to see it rising before it's release, we should try to get peeps on other forums that talk about hip-hop to help us vote to get "Party Starter" to #1 when it officially comes out, especially those over at Ludacris' board!
  24. Joe feat. Mariah Carey and Nas "Make It Last 2000"
  25. :lolsign: Yeah this has been an entertaining post to say the least!
