  1. Hey I guess they're doing it live after all, I thought they did it this weekend already. :lolsign:
  2. That's a good idea for whoever records here, maybe Will could come by to drop some freestyles and kick all of our asses! :lolsign:
  3. I'll just be happy to see JJFP perform, so far there's a not a mention of them performing on any of the commercials for the award show!
  4. Yeah Pac would be 34 now and be considered ol' school, it's amazing how many peeps in hip-hop we lost over the years: Jam Master Jay, Left Eye, and Aaliyah are a few others that we didn't mention, if all them were alive still a lot of talentless artists wouldn't be signed.
  5. :word: Will's still in the prime of his career even after all this time and Eminem seems to be past his prime since "The Eminem Show" album, his prime was only 2 years, so I don't expect Em to respond.
  6. Tom Cruise has the right to express his opinion however he wants as long as he doesn't physically hurt anybody, so if people don't go to see his movie just 'cause he likes a different religion or has a different opinion on drugs than they do, I find them narrow minded, this is America where people could say whatever they want to, maybe Lauer said something Cruise didn't like so Cruise got pissed, so what? He's human and I might not agree with him but I'm not gonna hold a grudge 'cause of his opinion.
  7. :yeahthat: Everyone brought it hard this time, good luck to everyone in this battle!
  8. The majority showed a lot of love there in defending Will with the few haters!
  9. :yeahthat: I liked your flow on that soul, very laid back, you stumbled a lil' bit one moment in the freestyle but then you picked it up well, the lyrics were dope as usual, and you did a nice job with making your 1st beat, it's a start, keep it up man!
  10. Today it's in the 90s, earlier this week it wasn't too bad at all, it was only in the 70s and I wasn't breaking a sweat, but the past couple days it's picked up!
  11. I don't think Pac would work with Jay-Z, he didn't like Jay-Z when he died and that's when Jay-Z was at the prime of his career, I don't think Pac would like that "Change Clothes" crap that Jigga put out now if he didn't like Jay-Z in the "Reasonable Doubt" era and he sure the hell wouldn't be happy with Jay-Z for biting his style, I don't think Kanye would've ever started rapping either if Pac was still living. He probably wouldn't be on any major label, he wouldn't sell that much now as he did back then, and he'd work more to discover new rappers on his own record label that nobody heard of rather than working with the popular rappers 'cause he wasn't feelin' that many cats back then, so I don't think he'd be feelin' them now, commercial rap is worse now than it was 10 years ago.
  12. Yeah MC Hammer's staying busy, it's a shame though not many notice, it's like that with a lot of ol' school artists, a lot haven't stayed relevant like LL Cool J and JJFP have in hip-hop(FP keeps Jazzy Jeff relevant whenever they perform together but if it wasn't for FP, not many would know 'bout JJ still DJ'ing either). If you're only a fan of mainstream rap, you won't know that KRS-ONE, MC Hammer, Public Enemy, and De La Soul still make albums.
  13. Aight G Scott, I'm about to make your knees pop Your wack album stays shelved for 4 years like Dr. Dre's "Detox" You wish you could top the lyrics that I complete on the spot I could do this for you right on the spot, no cease in my plot All this comes from my soul, this ain't what somebody else analyzes to jot I'm not trying to flow like everybody else, I just make your body rock Competition I "Eat 'Em Up" like Uncle L, you wish you could could be this hot That's why you can't come with something to overwhelm me to get to the top Since you're complementing me wishing you even attempt a shot 'Cause I'm the coach and I'm calling the shots At this rate you ain't balling on the block You're waiting fall the day I'm gonna drop Off so you can take my place, but I ain't ever gonna rot I keep my game fresh like the clothes I rock Go take a rest next to FreshPrinceCharming This is mature buisiness not a cartoon allusion Put away the fiction when you plot your movements If you claim you're hot everyone will say that you're a Looney Toon, kid Like that warner bros. rabbit said "you're buggin'" Don't make yourself look slow in the public The difference between mine and your flows is no discussion Y'all are like Mike Tyson past his prime and I'm like Ali when he was in the jungle rumblin' Everything I come up got y'all on the sidelines wondering "Can I get an autograph from him?" I'll personalise it on your girl's breast You'll never visualise the way I'm workin' The moment you figure out one phase, I'll be elevated miles ahead This is more than a game or piles of chips Y'all better just respect the name and the way I persist I'm a modern day Miles Davis On top of rhymin' with my man fuq, y'all are just outrhymed and damn flukes
  14. Tom Cruise seems like a pretty cool guy but come on now if the media is gonna get all up in your buisiness all the time, you won't say nothing back to them? I'd expect this from somebody like KRS-ONE, not somebody as media friendly like Tom Cruise. He obviously has been listening to much rap lately! :lolsign:
  15. All of his albums are listed there: http://www.vh1.com/artists/az/mc_hammer/albums.jhtml
  16. Well FP could do the remix with Luda if there is one, a song on LL's next album, and a song on Taty's next album to please everyone, and FP shouldn't just work with people that're on top just to sell albums, he should work with quality artists under the radar too to put out good music and get respect from the fans.
  17. He's a lot like most commercial rappers when they get famous, he doesn't seem as hungry as he once was when he was doing tracks with KRS-ONE and Big Pun back 7-10 years ago, maybe they wrote his rhymes for him! :lolsign: He does a few good songs here and there though recently, "Lean Back" was a hot track last summer but that got old kinda fast, I like that song where he dissed 50 Cent "F*** 50" and I liked "So Much More", but "Get It Poppin'" got me less excited about me picking up his album.
  18. MC Hammer ain't broke, he releases albums independently and makes more money than artists on major labels now, I think his last album was 3 years ago, but he was on the Surreal Life on VH1 last year. I only have his greatest hits album but after reading that interview I might be interested in buying more of his albums, he's one of the realest cats in the hip-hop game.
  19. It really is amazing the kind of sales that he had back in the mid 80s when he came out, going platinum back then was like selling 10 million now and yes those have to be the US sales, "The Definition" was certified gold here but it's probably platinum worldwide, I don't think Americans are the only ones that buy rap albums! :chuks:
  20. Well I hear a lot of people diss this album, but I like to judge things for myself, I might download it and give it a listen when I get a chance 'cause I respect Fat Joe even though I don't like his song with Nelly too much, he got a nice flow.
  21. Are they just sales for the US? I remember hearing that he sold over 20 million albums in his career, they must mean worldwide, it's amazing how consistant he's been, I'm surprised that "Mr. Smith" only went double platinum, I thought that sold about 5 million.
  22. :word: I'll just be happy if JJFP perform 'cause none of the commercials mention a performance by JJFP.
