  1. I wouldn't mind if JJFP did some of their performances of "Switch" with Elephant Man, that cat is one of the most livest performers in reggae, people'd love it! :1-say-yes:
  2. Yeah it's looking good, all those critics who thought that Will's career was done after "Born To Reign" can kiss Will's ass now! :pony:
  3. This DVD needs to be available for the masses who think that 50 Cent is the greatest performer, they need to see what a real hip-hop show is like, Interscope should also help Will out in promotion not just Overbrook, hell even underground DVDs are sold through the internet but you won't find them in Walmart, btw working in retail does suck for real, I've been doing those type of jobs since I graduated high school 2 years ago and I constantly find myself broke it seems even when I'm working real hard, lol, I'm just getting by, I wanna support Will in any way I can but I gotta support myself too, well that's enough ranting in this post until I buy the DVD and post my review. :smart:
  4. Cassidy isn`t a "fake gangsta".. He doesn`t even act like one :shakehead: He`s`just a party rapper.. ← Cassidy's sayin' he's a "hustla" when he grew up in the suburbs of Philly is what makes him a "fake gangsta" to me, I don't see Will callin' himself a hustla since he also grew up in the suburbs of Philly, and at least Jay-Z could say that he's a "hustla" 'cause he grew up in the Mosey projects in Brooklyn, btw this mixtape is gonna make a buzz in the underground for sure for Kel Spencer if he keeps bringin' heat like this! :jazzy:
  5. Not as much as MTV and VH1 do, I only saw them play "Mockingbird" a few times and they ain't playin' "Ass Like That" at all, while it's on heavy rotation on emptv.
  6. This is wack promotion, this DVD should be in every music store just like the G Unit, Jay-Z, and Eminem DVDs are was the point I was making, it ain't gonna sell much this way, better yet they should've added it to "Lost and Found" as a bonus DVD and maybe the album sales would go up.
  7. Wow most r&b albums don't even go gold these days.
  8. Lend me 25 bucks and I'll post your review! :lolsign: For real though, it's messed up that Walmart sells this DVD and there's limited copies, this DVD should be released in all music retails like most music DVDS are that way more people could be able to see it, Will must be getting good money to agree to this crappy promotion. :hmm:
  9. Thanks for this, I'm gonna download this later, I heard this the other day when Tim played it when we were in the chatroom, Kel rips this beat better than that fake gangsta Cassidy does for sure! :2thumbs:
  10. :metoo: I'm gonna definately vote every moment I get a chance!
  11. I gotta give it up to BET 'cause they haven't played Eminem's videos since he dissed Michael Jackson, now if only other stations would stop playing them, his career would be over. :haha:
  12. I remember reading in an interview with Chuck D from back in the day when they asked him if Public Enemy is an "anti-white" group, and he said that ain't possible 'cause most of the people that want to see them perform on tour are white. I think people just want to be entertained, black people see white people perform just like white people go see black people perform so it's all love.
  13. Eddie Murphy's a great comedian, I don't know about being a great singer though! :lolsign: I'm gonna see it when it comes out though, it'll be interesting to see how Beyonce and Jamie Foxx does in there too.
  14. I found these soundscan numbers from the okayplayer board of the top 200 albums, "Lost and Found" is doing better on "Switch" than artists with mulitple singles it seems: TWRank--Artist--Title--TWSales--%CHG--LWSales--RTDSales 1 COLDPLAY X&Y 737,294 999 1,491 738,966 2 BLACK EYED PEAS MONKEY BUSINESS 291,164 999 420 291,602 3 WHITE STRIPES GET BEHIND ME SATAN 188,989 999 435 189,448 4 SHAKIRA FIJACION ORAL 157,228 999 613 157,871 5 CAREY*MARIAH EMANCIPATION OF MIMI 151,440 -12 171,519 1,873,575 6 SYSTEM OF A DOWN MEZMERIZE 86,459 -27 117,886 827,261 7 KEITH*TOBY HONKYTONK UNIVERSITY 71,830 -16 85,307 569,167 8 STEFANI*GWEN LOVE.ANGEL.MUSIC.BABY 71,080 -15 83,350 2,328,895 9 CLARKSON*KELLY BREAKAWAY 66,128 -4 69,095 2,355,146 10 AUDIOSLAVE OUT OF EXILE 65,541 -34 98,985 428,520 11 50 CENT MASSACRE 64,824 -13 74,749 3,851,317 12 MATTHEWS*DAVE BAND STAND UP 60,650 -20 75,868 860,323 13 2005 WARPED TOUR COMPILATION 2005 WARPED TOUR COMPILATION 53,109 999 80 53,189 14 COMMON BE 50,980 -34 77,496 313,588 15 KILLERS HOT FUSS 49,655 3 48,083 2,009,551 16 RASCAL FLATTS FEELS LIKE TODAY 49,517 -15 57,932 1,967,084 17 GORILLAZ DEMON DAYS 44,449 -19 54,967 206,793 18 URBAN*KEITH BE HERE 44,413 9 40,930 1,148,997 19 IL DIVO IL DIVO 43,147 -37 69,000 575,309 20 LONGEST YARD SOUNDTRACK 41,714 -37 65,908 155,364 21 JONES*MIKE WHO IS MIKE JONES? 40,819 -10 45,406 565,460 22 WEEZER MAKE BELIEVE 40,032 -11 45,177 409,548 23 JOHNSON*JACK IN BETWEEN DREAMS 38,867 1 38,381 1,056,466 24 FINCH SAY HELLO TO 38,499 999 83 38,583 25 KEM ALBUM II 37,743 -5 39,792 272,714 26 GREEN DAY AMERICAN IDIOT 35,753 -8 38,974 3,620,077 27 JODECI BACK TO THE FUTURE 35,086 999 86 35,201 28 PRETTY RICKY BLUE STARS 34,616 -19 42,616 133,344 29 CIARA GOODIES 34,263 -17 41,132 2,025,167 30 AVENGED SEVENFOLD CITY OF EVIL 32,974 999 75 33,050 31 SUGARLAND TWICE THE SPEED OF 32,489 -3 33,509 431,131 32 AKON TROUBLE 31,407 -18 38,131 988,844 33 THOMAS*ROB SOMETHING TO BE 30,521 -18 37,234 758,314 34 SMITH*WILL LOST & FOUND 30,347 20 25,394 448,603 35 SEETHER KARMA & EFFECT 30,299 -24 39,784 152,284 36 DREAM THEATER OCTAVARIUM 26,781 999 161 26,943 37 OASIS DON'T BELIEVE THE TRUTH 26,629 -59 65,440 92,518 38 NINE INCH NAILS WITH TEETH 26,426 -24 34,659 520,816 39 VALENTINO*BOBBY DTP PRESENTS BOBBY VALENTINO 25,334 7 23,640 389,215 40 NOW 18 NOW 18 24,876 -18 30,495 1,143,601 41 DEF LEPPARD ROCK OF AGES 23,310 -19 28,759 150,323 42 FALL OUT BOY FROM UNDER THE CORK 22,649 4 21,704 182,110 43 AMERICAN IDOL FINALISTS SEASON 4-THE SHOWSTOPPERS 22,300 -40 36,951 197,420 44 COWBOY TROY LOCO MOTIVE 20,932 -18 25,400 122,422 45 MADAGASCAR SOUNDTRACK 20,263 -20 25,374 52,747 46 BECK GUERO 19,964 5 19,010 531,579 47 BENATAR*PAT GREATEST HITS 19,949 999 85 20,034 48 3 DOORS DOWN SEVENTEEN DAYS 19,388 -14 22,522 886,030 49 LYFE LYFE 268-192 19,133 -14 22,281 395,154 50 BUBLE*MICHAEL IT'S TIME 19,120 -13 21,968 537,192 51 MORRISON*VAN MAGIC TIME 18,929 -9 20,700 107,209 52 EMINEM ENCORE 18,909 8 17,451 4,620,503 53 GAME DOCUMENTARY 18,587 -17 22,358 2,055,133 54 LARRY THE CABLE GUY RIGHT TO BARE ARMS 18,349 -3 18,830 387,862 55 FRANKIE J ONE 18,209 -10 20,144 483,106 56 STONE*JOSS MIND BODY & SOUL 18,055 -34 27,302 838,542 57 EAGLES VERY BEST OF THE EAGLES 17,692 -2 18,104 1,533,606 58 PHANTOM OF THE OPERA SOUNDTRACK 17,394 -6 18,475 670,108 59 PAPA ROACH GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER 17,191 -9 18,921 705,682 60 LEGEND*JOHN GET LIFTED 17,159 25 13,725 1,221,078 61 NALICK*ANNA WRECK OF THE DAY 16,924 -14 19,788 173,659 62 BLACK EYED PEAS ELEPHUNK 16,914 18 14,355 2,675,982 63 LIFEHOUSE LIFEHOUSE 16,902 -12 19,243 277,896 64 WWE/CENA*JOHN & THA TRADEMARC YOU CAN'T SEE ME 16,893 4 16,312 120,478 65 WILSON*GRETCHEN HERE FOR THE PARTY 16,858 -15 19,925 3,631,266 66 WILLIAMS*JOHN STAR WARS EPISODE III:REVENGE 16,775 -30 23,876 239,906 67 BENTLEY*DIERKS MODERN DAY DRIFTER 16,752 -17 20,117 163,695 68 VARIOUS TOTALLY HITS 2005 16,291 -30 23,128 114,398 69 CHESNEY*KENNY WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN 16,268 -9 17,925 3,527,655 70 MUDVAYNE LOST & FOUND 16,157 -12 18,377 382,135 71 MESSINA*JO DEE DELICIOUS SURPRISE 16,047 -4 16,639 248,280 72 MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK COMMIT THIS TO MEMORY 15,993 999 57 16,079 73 LUDACRIS RED LIGHT DISTRICT 15,935 -11 17,895 1,750,087 74 NATALIE NATALIE 15,860 -24 20,933 114,249 75 DADDY YANKEE BARRIO FINO 15,852 -12 18,115 653,450 76 BIG & RICH HORSE OF A DIFFERENT COLOR 15,833 -13 18,280 2,226,507 77 MXPX PANIC 15,413 999 23 15,364 78 MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE THREE CHEERS FOR SWEET REVENGE 15,262 -5 15,989 715,758 79 SPRINGSTEEN*BRUCE DEVILS & DUST 15,007 -19 18,523 475,232 80 HOUSTON*MARQUES NAKED 14,728 -46 27,250 106,860 81 MCGRAW*TIM LIVE LIKE YOU WERE DYING 14,665 -6 15,580 3,325,378 82 BRAVERY BRAVERY 14,623 33 10,980 148,149 83 FANTASIA FREE YOURSELF 14,573 -21 18,441 1,474,771 84 VAN ZANT GET RIGHT WITH THE MAN 14,465 -9 15,889 111,629 85 GUNS N'ROSES GREATEST HITS 14,423 -7 15,446 2,162,157 86 B.G. 15. It's still a series after all, the Pistons won last night, but I must admit Stevie Wonder's performance of the national anthem was the most exciting moment of last night, that was dope!! :kool:
  16. "Eddie Murphy Set to Sing in 'Dreamgirls' NEW YORK - In the past, Eddie Murphy has been an actor and a singer. In a new musical, he'll get a chance to do both. Murphy will join Jamie Foxx and Beyonce Knowles in the cast of the upcoming film "Dreamgirls," Dreamworks has announced. To be directed by Bill Condon, "Dreamgirls" is an adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical that first ran on Broadway in the early 1980s. The movie follows the rise of a trio of women who form a group called The Dreamettes in the 1960s. Murphy will play James "Thunder" Early, a singer for whom the Dreamettes sing back up before taking over the spotlight themselves. Though Murphy is better known for movies like "Beverly Hills Cop," "The Nutty Professor" and the voice of Donkey in the "Shrek" films, he has released several albums of soul and pop music. "Dreamgirls" is scheduled to begin production early next year."
  17. LL ain't overrated, he's only been dope for 20 years, I think anyone that gets ranked above LL besides possibly Will Smith, KRS-ONE, and Rakim is overrated and Grammy's/record sales don't measure the greatness of an artist, but LL is one of the highest selling rap artists alive.
  18. Thanks for the review AJ, do you know how long is Walmart gonna have this as a bonus to "Hitch" 'cause I don't have no money right now to get it.
  19. Lyrically "Switch" ain't Will's strongest, I don't think I was expecting it to be the album's strongest song, but you could say the production of Kwame gave the song the aggressive hip-hop edge it needed compared to Will's past singles that had weaker production.
  20. Well I'd say: 1-He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper 2-Code Red 3-Big Willie Style 4-Homebase 5-Lost and Found 6-Willenium 7-Born To Reign 8-And In This Corner... 9-Rock The House(never heard it)
  21. This sucks, they're so young still, you figure they'd stay around longer, it's sorta like what happened with The Fugees, they did a few albums and then they broke up when they all started having successful solo careers.
  22. Phil Jackson'd been better off coaching the Knicks, they had basically the same record as the Lakers and had key injuries to Allan Houston and Jamal Crawford and if they're healthy next year they'll end up having a better chance contending in the weaker Eastern Conference and that was he played his career, I figured he might've decided to go there but his gf and money was enough to even go back where he didn't wanna coach anymore, but even if the Lakers are healthy, they won't make it far in the playoffs unless they get Kevin Garnett or bring Shaq back but chances of that happening are slim to none, Lakers suck, ultimately I wanted him to come back and coach the Bulls but I think they'll be fine without him since Scott Skiles is an up and coming coach that's doing a damn good job.
  23. After I break this down, I see that they're equal and mirror images of each other in hip-hop, and're still steps ahead today's mcs even without best material recently(but even Michael Jackson can't top "Thriller" and Prince can't top "Purple Rain") they still top 50 Cent, Mike Jones, Game, Eminem, and're on the same level as the better mcs like DMX, Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Nas, going through their album catalogs you'd see that: LL Cool J: Classic Albums:"Radio", "Mama Said Knock You Out", "Walking With A Panther"(I don't have this album but this gets a lot of critical acclaim), "Mr. Smith", and "G.O.A.T." Nearly classic album: "The Definition"(if "Can't Explain It" was left off, it'd be, a step above arguably his weakest album "10") Average Albums: "14 Shots To The Dome", "10" The rest of his 11 albums are solid releases FP/Big Will: Classic Albums:"He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper", "Code Red", "Rock The House"(I don't have this album either but this album gets a lot of critical acclaim), "Homebase", "Big Willie Style" and "Lost and Found" Nearly classic album: "Willenium"(if "Freakin' It" and "Da Butta" were left off it'd be, even though some tracks are stronger than anything on "Big Willie Style" it's not as consistant from start to finish since those 2 tracks're forgettable/skippable) Average albums: "And In This Corner...", "Born To Reign"
