  1. the thing i like about game though is that he's one of the few rappers of the last 10 years that gives props to the classic hip hop, there's some classic samples on documentary 2
  2. to me game's one of the consistant rappers of the last 10 years in hip hop, i like the original documentary but i think it's too early to compare this album to that one but i think there's definately classic material with potential of the second disc to be just as strong, looking forward to hearing it tomorrow...
  3. "Scream" uses the same sample as "Halftime" from Nas' "Illmatic" album, it'd be interesting to hear a blend of these 2 songs from 2 of my favorite albums:
  4. i also never heard dance or die before after all these years, maybe somebody could upload that too!
  5. I like Tim's version of From Da South too!
  6. wasn't lovely daze from the code red era as well? i always thought it was 'cause it sounds like music from '93, it'd be interesting if there's a lost tapes JJFP album, they should release one before the new album/tour comes
  7. like i mentioned with all the talk about will coming back to music we could do our job as fans to try to keep the good word of his legacy alive, it'd be dope if one of us posts the album on youtube and it started getting some views on there, the more exposure the better, gotta keep the classics alive....
  8. i wanted to put the album up on this post but i noticed that youtube or spotify doesn't have it, someone should upload code red on there EDIT spotify does have code red, it didn't when i looked last night though:
  9. With all the news of a new album it's a perfect timing to know that today's 22 years ago the last and perhaps the best JJFP album(although I could argue He's The DJ I'm The Rapper) was released! Share your thoughts and memories of the classic... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_Red_(DJ_Jazzy_Jeff_%26_the_Fresh_Prince_album) I'm Looking For The One To Be With Me is probably one of my favorite songs of all time!
  10. Will Smith Feat. Mary J Blige Tell Me Why
  11. This is an excellent idea AJ! I found some good videos here:
  12. That youtube link don't work now, you could listen to the album on spotify, this is definately a must to own on CD, support the real hip hop!
  13. Game did it again, he put out another classic gangsta album!
  14. I have the perfect idea for Will to have the most success off his next album, he could make it a double album, one "JJFP album" for us loyal fans and the other a "Big Willie album" for the commercial hip hop fans, that album would do really well with something for everyone!
  15. this should bring confidance in more of us that a JJFP album is coming in 2016, the long wait has been SO worth it!
  16. Will Smith Just The Two Of Us, today's a special day not just cause Will's back in hip hop but it's my father's 81st birthday!
  17. i'm gonna listen to this album later on google play and i'm gonna get the cd soon, it's great to have janet back in music again!
  18. these are mostly my thoughts, with all the news coming out now i think there's an even bigger hope for more JJFP material, my worries have gone away, i believe that it'll happen just like i never gave up hope on an album since i've been one of the handful on the board that've stuck around for 10 years waiting for these days to arrive!
  19. heavy d & the boyz nuttin but love album hearing that will's coming back to music makes me miss real artists like heavy d even more, too bad they never collabed
  20. Of course LL Cool J and Public Enemy would be a good fit with the JJFP tour, JJFP toured with both of them back in the 1980s so they're long time friends, other old school legends like Kid N Play, MC Hammer and Run Dmc would also come to mind, and if 2Pac, Michael Jackson, and Heavy D were still alive they'd fit in too...
  21. i'd rather listen to g-unit than most commercial rap today but that's beyond the point, and btw you did have conscious rappers like common, rhymefest, talib kweli, the roots, and kanye west(back when his music was good) having success in mid 2000s so there was balance, i always think there's been balance, it's just aquired taste..
  22. new album but it's all more than i could've ever dreamed of!
