  1. Well on recent stuff I've been feelin': Nas "Street's Disciple"(most of the album) LL Cool J "The Definition"(most of the album) Talib Kweli "The Beautiful Struggle"(most of the album) Will Smith "Lost and Found"(the whole album) De La Soul "The Grind Date"(the whole album) Common "The Corner"(I gonnna buy his album soon) Mariah Carey "We Belong Together"(I wanna check out her album too) Amerie "One Thing"(original and the remix with Eve) Faith Evans "Again" Twista feat. Faith Evans "Hope" Game "Dreams"(the only song I like from him, fuq's version is classic though) Fat Joe "So Much More" Black Eyed Peas "Don't Phunk With My Heart"(funny song) Bow Wow and Omarion "Let Me Hold You"(he's coming of age now) Spectec feat. Big Daddy Kane, Kofi "One Day"(that's right Big Daddy Kane's still spittin', maybe he's gonna do another album soon on KRS' label) Snoop Dogg "Ups and Downs" and "Drop It Like It's Hot"(maybe one day I'll get his new album, probably by the time he does another one, lol)
  2. Hey I remember making a suggestion over on Jazzy Jeff's board for "Return Of The Magnificent" about collaborating with rappers all over the world, maybe he liked that suggestion. :smart: A lot of titles are the same though in music, there's many other albums out there called "Lost and Found" too, but they all sound different.
  3. Damn it seems like every team has a coaching change these days, that's not such a secure job. :lolsign:
  4. Agreed. I'm especially looking forward to the video. Should be very lively with plenty of energy. I'm still a little squeamish about Tell Me Why being released in the fall, close to Sept. 11th. People will be more likely to focus more on the Sept. 11th aspect of the song, discounting the overall message that the song is conveying. Hopefully, there won't be any talk of Tell Me Why being a gimmick or exploiting the topic of Sept. 11th to sell records. We know how unreasonable and ignorant people can be when they are searching for a reason to dislike something because of their personal bias. I guess we or rather Will will cross that bridge when it's time. In the meantime, I'll looking forward to that Party Starter release and the public's reaction to it. Especially that third verse. ← :word: Well if "Tell Me Why" doesn't get released until late September or early October then there won't be so much controversey, so hopefully "Party Starter" could stay on the charts for about 4 months and keep "Lost and Found" with stable sales until then.
  5. :word: Yeah it's the 1st time in more than 15 years that the top four teams in the NBA are all in the conference finals, anyways I hope Shaq stays healthy for the Heat or else the Pistons'll win the series easily.
  6. Damn that sucks for u Joe, u should write your rhymes in notebooks and save your rhymes on floppy disks when you type them on the computer like I do, that way you won't lose track of what you did, you could also always go back on your posts and see the ones you posted here, good luck!
  7. ...and it's not 1987 either, he's standing the test of time when it comes to popularity, no mc from 20 years ago except LL is as popular.
  8. Well you do have a point there, they all worked hard to make it in the music buisiness and we all have different tastes, but the artists don't always respect each other, Nelly has no right to diss KRS-ONE ever 'cause KRS-ONE opened doors for Nelly, so in that I say Nelly's classless and 50 Cent disses Nas and Jadakiss just 'cause he sells more records than them so he's not very respectful either since they been out longer than him, and what gives Eminem the right to diss every pop star out there when he's a pop star himself, if he really hated mainstream that bad he would release his albums independently. If I made it big I wouldn't turn around and diss 50 Cent, Nelly, or Eminem even though they ain't my favorites, but I wouldn't go out of my way to give them props either since they don't respect the ones that were pioneers of music, it should work both ways, I don't hate the player, I hate the game(not the rapper, lol).
  9. That's a shame, he had a lot of potential, there's a whole bunch of wack rappers that I wish would retire instead of him.
  10. Continuing Where I left off: Petey Pablo, wack Tech 9ne,? Dead Prez, ?, but will gave them a shout-out, so they must be aight then Mos Def, the most intelligent mc to come out in recent years Tribe Called Quest, legendary group, only Run-Dmc and PE are better Ludacris, he was inspired by JJFP so he's aight in my book Foxy Brown, one of the best mcs to come out in recent years, male or female Trina, classless, wack Beanie Siegel, flow's annoying 50Cent, one of the worst rappers ever Big L, only put out one album, he was aight Common, puts a lot of soul into his music, obviously inspired by tribe called quest, he deserves his due, hopefully he wins a grammy next year Kanye West, he's a lil' overhyped but he's aight Xzibit, dope mc from west coast The Roots, bring that philly soul to their music, experiment too much recently though but still dope Twista, fast rhymer, dope Trick Daddy, annoying Run DMC, greatest hip-hop group Talib Kweli, keeps conscious hip-hop alive, deserves more due Scarface, pioneer of the south, legend P. Diddy, like kanye west except he's a better producer Nelly, one of the worst rappers ever Chingy, same as above DJ Quik, legendary producer/mc Keith Murray, witty mc with mad punchlines Gangstarr, legendary group, dj premiere's one of the best djs/producers, guru is one of he best mcs Ghostface Killah, arguably the best mc in wu-tang after method man Ice Cube, the best mc to come out of nwa, hardcore rap at it's finest after krs and pe Juvenile, same as 50 cent/nelly/chingy Eve, the best mc in rough ryders after dmx Outkast, best group to come out in last decade, last album was overrated though Busta Rhymes, discovered by chuck d 15 years ago and still going strong with mad energy, obviously inspired from fresh prince
  11. JJFP, LL Cool J, Rakim, Run-Dmc, Slick Rick, KRS-ONE, Public Enemy, and most of my favorite rappers came out this decade, the golden era!
  12. 2Pac, Nas, JJFP, LL Cool J, and KRS-ONE
  13. Aight here I go: Snoop Dogg, legendary mc Kurupt, he's aight Daz, he's aight Rakim, the most lyrically gifted mc to ever bless the mic LL Cool J, most versatile mc ever DMX, one of the best mcs in recent years Redman, one of the most underrated mcs Method Man, dope mc from wu-tang clan Warren G, represents that g-funk hip-hop with snoop, i feel his style the Game, he might have a great career if he leaves g unit Nas, arguably the best mc in the last decade Jay-z, he has skills but he's too overrated Biggie, was nowhere near 2Pac's skills Fat Joe, he was a great mc when he came out but since big pun died, he's not the same anymore, even though he's sold more recently, still aight Big Pun, his life was cut short too soon but he opened a lot of doors for latin rappers, he deserves more due 2Pac, he rapped with a lot of heart in his short career KRS-One, the most intelligent rapper to ever blessed the mic NWA, they were a great group but broke up too soon Eminem, he has skills but he's overrated just like Jay-Z Ja Rule, wack mc, not as wack as 50 cent though... Well I gtg now, I'll continue the rest later
  14. Well if a song is something from your heart, rhyme structure isn't really the most important thing, he's had a lot of songs that're lyrically better, but none of them could get deeper than this song, I think this is one of the deepest tracks he's ever done.
  15. Not to forget JJFP :) Oh yeah that's right, he produced "I'm Lookin' For The One"(To Be Wit Me)
  16. I saw the video for "Ass Like That" today, damn that's as corny as "Ice Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice, Em's career is over now. :hilarious:
  17. "Just The Two Of Us" is a great song, "Mockingbird" is aight for Eminem's quality since most of his songs are mediocre, I think "You and Me" by Nas is closer to "Just The Two Of Us" level than "Mockingbird" though.
  18. Thanks for the info Miss N.I.C., I think Kel Spencer should rap on a remix to one of Will's future singles, that would help him get some buzz.
  19. I don't mind whatever comes out, I just can't wait to see the new video, "Party Starter" is gonna be huge! :afro:
  20. Well if you're talking about top 3 of all-time, I'd have to include some music pioneers that opened up the doors for urban music today: 1-James Brown 2-Ray Charles 3-Stevie Wonder Honorable Mention would be the best producer in urban music over the last 20 years: Teddy Riley-(he's produced hits for Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, Guy, Heavy D, Blackstreet, Keith Sweat, Wreckx-N-Effectz, Michael Jackson, and Foxy Brown among other big names in hip-hop/r&b over the last 20 years)
  21. Boyz II Men & Mariah Carey "One Sweet Day", classic song!
  22. Real talk right there, you just keep gettin' better and better! :afro:
  23. Whoever did this should pay! :nono:
