  1. I'd say Duhon screwed up big time in Game 6, the Bulls need a point guard with more experience and to get another veteran center would help too, it's cool to have some young talent, but they also need to add some more experience players to win in the playoffs or else they'll end up being like the T'Wolves and lose in the 1st round for 5 straight years.
  2. Why didn't Dr. Dre dump him from Aftermath then? I thought that you have to get high to do a song with Dr. Dre, that was the reason why Rakim's album never came out in the 1st place, so obviously 50 Cent is just frontin', of course he gets high, stop defending him so much! :poke:
  3. Fat Joe's a dope mc, y'all should check some of his music out, Blastmaster KRS-ONE helped Fat Joe get hip-hop cred by touring together in the mid-90s, I'm looking forward to his new album comin' out, it's dope to see FP and Fat Joe chillin' there, they should collaborate some day, that'd be a huge hit! :kool: So anyway did FP perform anything besides "Summertime" and "Switch" at that show?
  4. I haven't really seen Nick Cannon release anything different than what any commercial rapper is doing until now that's why I'm haven't been really into him as a fan and not too many hip-hop heads are, I downloaded a few of the tracks from his last album but they didn't impress me much, since he gives props to ol' school hip-hop artists like FP and Slick Rick I can't really diss him too hard 'cause there's other commercial rappers out there comin' out that give no props to ol' school hip-hop artists whatsoever, but since Nick Cannon released this song I have to say that he's coming around as an artist, I still think that there's a whole bunch of underground mcs and hip-hop legends that deserve more shine though for putting in the work that they do too but that's just my preference. Anyway props to Nick Cannon for trying to be a hip-hop artist not a pop rapper! :thumb:
  5. Yeah I heard about this single, I think this is the deepest song he's ever done, I hope it gets airplay, this is better than most songs out now, I guess he's not just trying to bite off of FP's comedy after all, my opinion changed about him, I might think about checkin' out his new album! :kool: This is sorta off-topic though, this should be a topic over "Caught In The Middle"! :peace:
  6. Damn, I was about to download it too, oh well, I'm gonna lock up this topic since it ain't available anymore! :peace:
  7. That's a good message right there and a great 1st rhyme, I wish I could say my 1st rhyme was that good, you should keep it up, tell people what's on your mind! :peace:
  8. Great news I look forward to that! :afro:
  9. Will's one of the richest men in the world, he's making 20 Million A Film, damn if I had that kind of money I'd brag too, he does own those cars he talks about, he's on the cover of magazines, and he's got a hot wife, if that was my life, I'd wanna talk about that too, but I'm poor so I talk about how I'm just getting by and tryin' to make it in the world in my songs, he's just speaking about his life, he talks about the problems that he has too, the fame doesn't always make you happy, but he doesn't brag as much as Cassidy, Bow Wow, and these up and coming rappers do, come on now, how could they be that rich as they say on their 1st albums when they're making only 50 cents for each album they sell? :cwm: 50 Cent brags about sleeping with Vivica Fox, come on now, why'd she want him? he's a loner! :hilarious:
  10. That Heat-Wizards series has been the most boring series ever, the Heat could start their entire bench and still beat the Wizards, they suck, they're playing worse than the Grizzlies did when they lost to the Suns, I don't get how the Bulls couldn't beat them! :confused3:
  11. emptv loves Eminem, they put him in the top 5 mcs of all time a couple years ago I think, that's a joke, and they don't even mention Will in the top 20 and put LL at #17, when Eminem was a Vanilla Ice wannabe at his trailerpark, JJFP and LL were on top of the rap game and they still are! :poke:
  12. I love you man.... I couldn`t say it better myself :dancingcool: Well LL's my 2nd favorite mc, I stick up for him anytime, good to see another LL fan on board! :thumb: btw, what does everybody else think the top 10 hip-hop albums are?
  13. Bow Wow feat. Jagged Edge "My Baby", I haven't heard many pop rappers make a song as deep as this one in recent years
  14. Don't u mean A Tribe Called Quest feat. Leaders of The New School? :poke: U got me in the mood 2 pop in Phife's solo album. Actually, there's a couple different versions of "Scenario". It's probably the same version I have. (from the Monster Rap cd) A Tribe Called Quest Instrumentals cd (I made it last night.) :thumb: :dj: Hey I never heard that version either! btw, I'm listening to Nas feat. Amerie "One Rule"
  15. Hey "Rock The House" is a rare album to find, I don't think all of here even heard it, including me, if there were other tracks on the same level as "Girls Ain't Nothin' But Trouble" and "The Magnificent" on there then that'd be a classic too! :afro: It's too hard for me to say one album 'cause I listen to all the albums I have from them,it's a coin toss between "Big Willie Style", "Code Red", "He's The DJ...", and now "Lost And Found" for me, I always keep them close by to play.
  16. I didn't even hear the original yet, I don't listen to much radio these days.
  17. Well if you look at the criteria on this list, KRS-ONE, Public Enemy, and Rakim should be in the top 5 but popularity is something that they lacked and most pioneers didn't have any so they get buried to the bottom of the list and one day when 100 popular rappers come along they won't be mentioned at all. A lot of the most popular rappers ain't the most talented! LL Cool J is definately the "G.O.A.T." 'cause he has had 10 consecutive platinum albums, he's influenced every popular rapper, and has phenominal skills, his sales were not a gimmick, JJFP would come in 2nd behind him 'cause Fresh Prince's storytellin' lives on and is still on the Billboard charts after all these years and Jazzy Jeff transformed DJ to another level literally with his transformer scratch but DJ'ing is a lost art now and were the 1st rap artists to win a Grammy it'd be nice if they made another full length album together and won a Grammy it'd solidify that legacy even further, and 2Pac would be 3rd we all know why 'cause he sells more in his death than his life and is the voice of our generation but when he was living his sales were just about the same as Rakim and KRS-ONE so he'd be overlooked just like them if he was living, Run-DMC would be 4th for being the 1st rap artists to go gold but their fame faded after "Down With The King" which was the 10th anniversary, and Outkast would be 5th for a decade of consistancy and chart topping hits but never could top Run-Dmc's impact on commercial rap, if record sales were a part of the equation and Hieroglyphics would never get a mention but they've been out as long as Outkast and are just as original and talented, so obviously I think very lil' about record sales, emptv doesn't control hip-hop!
  18. Yeah putting MC Hammer in the same category as Vanilla Ice is like saying Biggie is as dope as 2Pac, even 2Pac respected MC Hammer, he opened a lot of doors for commercial hip-hop and is one of the realest cats in the industry, and he won't get booed off stage like some rappers today will, he's a great performer.
  19. Why can't Eminem be happy with just selling 4 million and take some time off to work on his skills before putting another garbage album together like "Encore"? Why does he have to embarass himself more? :poke:
  20. Where you hear that at? Please post the source, I find that hard to believe!
  21. Well if it was based on only skills then JJFP should be at least in the top 5 without a doubt, they got a unique style that's uncomparable! :afro: But to say that Mase has more skill than Big Daddy Kane is disgusting! 2Pac was mostly about impact, there's quite a bit of mcs that you could compare skills with, he wasn't that much of a freestyler, but they can't compare to the impact he's made, skills doesn't mean everything, impact means more to me 'cause that doesn't mean you could make a great song even though you could freestyle all day! Also a lot of these mcs with complex rhymes out now get booed off stage, they can't rock a show like PE, JJFP, Run-Dmc can, performance is where the legends shine, I don't think Nas could put on a better show than MC Hammer and Public Enemy, and it showed last year at VH1 honors, his flow nearly put the people to sleep, as a fan of his I was dissapointed, but he is one of the greatest lyricists of our generation, I don't know if I'd wanna pay to see him live though, I think I'd rather wanna see JJFP live. Notice though it said it was based on: Criteria: - These 100 artists where chosen and ranked based on their influence, impact, originality, and talent, lasting popularity. All realms of Rap/Hip-Hop are included, including vocalists. And if hip-hop vocalists are mentioned Nate Dogg should be mentioned 'cause he's been on hooks of every big hip-hop song and Ja Rule is a hip-hop vocalist too, at least he tried! :hilarious: As much as some of us might not like Eminem, he has to be on the list too 'cause he's been able to last popularity, but he wasn't the most original, he bit most of his skills off of Hieroglyphics that burned him in a battle, and has tried to be a white Death-Row version of 2Pac, he's the Elvis Presley of rap 'cause Elvis bit most of his style off of James Brown, but somehow he got to be a household name so he should get some credit, but the originator should be the one on top in my book.
  22. That's probably one of the best I saw from u, it's great the way it is, you don't need another verse, great job! :thumb:
  23. KRS has been the top rapper though for the last 20 years, he's still on top, there's no mc out there that could beat him, listen to his recent albums, he's ahead of his time still, not Jay-Z, not Eminem, not Kanye could top him, even Will has trouble topping KRS' let alone them 'cause they don't have the longevity or the impact that he's had, if people consider "Marshall Mathers LP", "College Dropout", and "Reasonable Doubt" classics, all 13 KRS' albums are classic! I think there should be seperate lists with this just like the album lists with the impact artists for each decade rather than all-time 'cause there's different eras and styles to compare Melle Mel to Nas, there's no definate #1, everyone has their own opinions, but the pioneers deserve their due, y'all might hate on Roxanne Chante but she opened doors for female rappers, so she definately deserves some props.
