  1. LL still has a lot left in him and I ain't a Jay-Z hater, he just ain't one of my favorites like LL that's all, we all have different tastes, I don't have beef with Jay-Z but in my opinion I think LL's a better mc than Jay-Z and that's my opinion and nobody's gonna change that, we gotta respect each other's opinions, I personally don't mind who Will decides to collaborate with in the future.
  2. Chuck D "Underdog" "Cheba cheba had you wide like a receiver What looks like fire is ice Fall for the flame, catch it twice like Jerry Rice. Nice" :kool:
  3. Why would we believe anything from there when one of those Lorettas were saying they were having Will's baby? It's probably just another false rumor.
  4. Nice pics fuq! :thumb: One of these days I'm gonna have to reveal myself to y'all.
  5. This must've been the worst weekend all time for the Playoffs, none of the games were close, I hope things get more competitive soon. :poke:
  6. Well it's just like Will says on "I Wish I Made That": "I know you love me, even though you place other rappers above me" All the rappers that have fame now do the same thing, personally I see the creativity getting overlooked ever since "The Chronic" album came out, there was artists like Redman, Naughty By Nature, and Outkast comin' out as new artists but were ignored 'cause "The Chronic" was the only album on top of the charts, it's a great album, but hip-hop can't be one dimensional, there's too many wannabe gangsta rappers out as a result from that album. It's sorta like how Jazzy Jeff said in "The Real Deal" article on this site, the differences between now and then: "I think there was a lot more, I don't want to say "creativity," but it just seems like there was a lot more diversity. People were just really open and wanted to do new stuff, and try innovative things back then. You could have a tour with Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, Run-DMC, Public Enemy, and everybody has an audience, and everybody loves everybody. Everyone was making money, but everyone was having so much fun. Then, the rivalries in hip-hop were about "I'm the best DJ" or "I'm the best MC." It just seems now that's it's about "I have more money" and "no, I have more money." Where did all the skill level go? Now it's like the best rapper is the one that makes the most money "
  7. :werd: I personally wouldn't mind if bagotrasho came back, but this is Tim's board and we have to respect his decision for banning him, he wouldn't just ban him for no reason. btw, he must really be obsessed with this board if he wrote a song about it! :kekeke:
  8. :werd: I actually listen to oldies radio more if I turn on the radio, that's the only station with good music these days. :speechless:
  9. Clever song there, there's a lot of good punchlines! :afro:
  10. Thanks for posting that, but I posted that a few days ago on this thread. :toetap: :kekeke: This ain't no all-time hip-hop list since this doesn't include LL Cool J, KRS-ONE, JJFP, and Queen Latifah, there would be no Nas, Jay-Z, 2Pac, and Biggie if it wasn't for them, there's not enough respect for the ol' school, a lot of these new mcs bite off the ol' school and they get all the credit, they act like hip-hop began in '93, underground mcs get no respect either, Hieroglyphics deserves more mention than some of those on there too.
  11. That's a hot freestyle, your flow was really on point, that sounded really good! :kool:
  12. Thanks for the feedback, I don't wanna record right now, I'm still just finding myself as an artist and I ain't rushing into it yet, when my finances are right I'd like to start my own independent label, I don't wanna do what everyone else does, I wanna take charge when I decide to record, but I ain't trying to take FP's place or anything I'm just trying to do my thing and earn my name with hard work.
  13. I don't get why black radios don't play him, LL's music pretty similar to Will's and he gets a lotta airplay on black radio, maybe if LL's films did better, black radio would hate on him and not play his music either, I think it's all jealousy, they don't wanna see black peeps succeed.
  14. Wow the Pacers shocked the hell outta of me, Reggie Miller didn't play much and they still won big, they're gonna give the Pistons a run for their money, I'm looking forward to that series.
  15. Well he's best at doing comedic tracks, he'll always be known for that, every rapper has their own styles, but at the same time, he's older now and should be able to express the other side of being a caring father to the world as well, then on his next album he could go back to doing his comedic storytelling tracks or doing something else on his next album 'cause he got his point across on "Lost and Found", every album is a chapter of his life, some albums might not be as dope as others, but sometimes life isn't always up either, we always have up and downs, it's about being around when the smoke clears, the haters are gonna fall off and he'll succeed staying true to who he is, he's just showing that he's a down to earth person we could relate to, and I'll support whatever he does.
  16. Hey I don't see them playing this video much so far, but I did see Cuban Link and Mya perform it today on Soul Train, it was a good performance, and everytime I hear this song, I think about how Cuban Link's biting me, he says I'm a playa-4-life in the song, the name of my 1st song I ever wrote was "Playa-4-Life", they should've put me in the video. :kekeke:
  17. I think I earned more respect for him in releasing this song as a single, when I downloaded his album this was the only song that I really liked, it's a hot video, and I can't be mad at him for getting Mya in the video, I ain't mad at you playa! :thumb:
  18. Thanks y'all I think that the best thing about writing songs is looking back and think about how I felt when I made it, I definately think a lot peeps could relate to this especially ones in school 'cause the smarter girls get overlooked a lot by those who are stuck up but get a lot of guys from lookin' good, but I appreciate the intellectual girls more, sometimes I think about if I was back in high school still I'd probably try to get to know some of them better than I did, a lot of them were shy and didn't talk much, I wish I could of said more to them 'cause girls like them ain't easy to find, I'm still trying to find one like I described, it's more than just a song to me. I think the songs are reflection of life and I'm trying to live and learn more. And about the songs I mentioned as a reference, I was listening to "The Light" on Common's "Like Water For Chocalate" the other day and I was thinkin' about this "Intellectual Girl" song I wrote right around that time after I heard that song, music can touch you, and I want someone to say the same thing one day when they hear my songs, I wanna express myself the right way. Thanks for the feedback! :thumb:
  19. I wish there was this kind of intelligent debates like this over at willsmith.com, I make a post asking when's "Tell Me Why" comin' out and hardly anybody responds while there's a million posts about how hot Will is there. :kekeke: I give up over there! :blabla: Whatever the future holds we'll have to see, I ain't really that big on movies, my cd collection is triple of what my dvd collection is, and I'm sure there are some people out there that're the opposite, everyone has different tastes, I guess it's only fair for Will to cater both fan bases since he's such a great entertainer.
  20. Hey I just put on Public Enemy's "Yo! Bum Rush The Show", they're debut album, it wasn't as revolutionary as "It Takes A Nation Of Millions...", but it was still a masterpiece, there were a lot of tracks where Chuck D and Flava Flav would go back and forth and spit, rather than just them doing solo tracks, that was awesome, they put a lot of hip-hop battle tracks on there too like "Miuziweighsaton", "Time Bomb", and "Public Enemy #1", that'd be dope if Chuck D and Flava Flav went back and forth like that on this album.
  21. :werd: The Bulls self-destructed in the last 2 minutes, I thought they had the game locked up, they should've brought Ben Gordon into the ballgame even though he didn't score to that point, he needed the experience in that pressure situation, I figured they wouldn't win the title this year because they needed more experience but they've been playing with a lot of heart and should play better next year, but I was looking forward to a Bulls-Heat matchup, oh well. I don't think the Bulls should've traded Mutombo, I figure that trade was gonna burn us in the long run, his defense has been big for the Rockets this year and in the playoffs, I think they'll win tonight. btw, Reggie Miller's gonna have a big game tonight that's for sure, Reggie Miller playin' Game 7, that's a hollywood script right there, I can't wait to see that, I love the playoffs! :afro:
  22. I was looking at the news section there and it says that there'll be more performance dates added to the calendar on May 22nd, maybe he might do Summer Jam at the Meadowlands in New Jersey next month! :fingersx:
  23. LL Cool J "Illegal Search", another timeless classic off "Mama Said Knock You Out" "what the hell are you lookin' for can't a young man make money any more?"
