  1. Btw on another note I'd give anything to make it to all the east coast US shows and do VIP meet and greet, it'd make 2016 the year I'd tell my grandkids about when I'm 80!
  2. i was noticing that there's a lot of buzz for will on facebook and twitter right now, it seems like this could be his highest popularity of the 2000s, somebody even asked dayne jordan if he's gonna feature on the JJFP album, I really would like to see him, Skillz, and Kel Spencer on this album and tour more than anybody 'cause they're the most loyal hip hop artists in the JJFP circle...
  3. i know it might be asking too much but my ultimate dream would be to see JJFP perform Code Red album in its entirety ala Nas did with Illmatic in concert
  4. i can't forget christopher williams, he was also featured on "can't wait to be with you", one of the better tracks of JJFP's "code red" album, btw right now i'm listening to some classic 90s r&b music: blackstreet "never gonna let you go"
  5. I like that he said he wants to keep going until he's 70-80 years old, that'll make JJFP the Rolling Stones of hip hop!!
  6. i just tweeted jeff and asked him if he could confirm a 2016 JJFP world tour, we should all do the same and btw i think it's about time for will to open a twitter account
  7. i don't think it's a matter of being stuck in the past, people just want quality music, and quite frankly most artists today don't put it out and that's why the original artists like will need to come back and show the new generation how it's done...
  8. whoah, the behind the scenes is DOPE, i don't have apple music radio so fill me in...
  9. I'm very much of the same opinion. He doesn't need to preach it, per se, but I think that there's no gain or benefit to him doing it, so why start now? I almost think he didn't say the word completely, but the point remains that he has so much equity built up in how he's approached rhyming that I would hate to see it dropped. Especially now that people have really moved away from hard lyrics. No one is clamoring for the G-Unit types anymore. If anything, much of popular hip hop has gotten over the "coolness" of a curse. what about the success of the straight up compton movie and the success of the new dr dre album? there's still some gangsta rap in mainstream today
  10. Well let's be real about something here AJ, like I mentioned this is many years later now, most of Will's fans are grown up now, plus I think Will more refers to the quality of music when he talks about language, that's something most of us misunderstand, as long as it's done in a creative way I think it's an acceptable part of art, or if that wasn't the case then most of us would be hypocrites for being known as spiritual or christian and listening to rappers like 2Pac and Dr. Dre who use heavy profanity, think about that for a moment, we're all human after all, don't act like Will's trying to be a preacher or pope...
  11. Bobby Estereo and Will Smith "Fiesta", finally some new music from fresh prince to play!
  12. thanks for sharing AJ, Mariah Carey was one of my first celebrity crushes as a child btw, her music always brings me to a happy place
  13. now jim if you're comparing drake to will there's no comparison, i don't care if drake constantly puts out music 'cause most of it is weak and repetitive compared to will's music which has been innovative and set the standard for hip hop, will don't have to prove anything to me, whatever he does at this point is a bonus to a legendary career
  14. that's right and he said "s***" on "Don't Say Nothin" "I drop that top notch s*** for you to cop"
  15. I don't really mind either, most of Will's fanbase is grown anyway and besides he's not a preacher, he's human that has faults like everyone else, he ain't trying to be holier than thou
  16. over 500,000 views on youtube in one day for a "classic hip hop" artist is impressive, especially for the fact that he's been away from music for so long...
  17. this makes me feel like a kid all over again, i'm saying to myself what a year for hip hop and r&b, it's like it's 1993 all over again with albums from public enemy, jodeci, dr. dre, janet jackson, with ll cool j working on his album, and now we have the first rap from fresh prince in 10 years, 2015-16 is shaping out to be the return of the real artists, it makes me wanna keep writing my raps too but it also keeps me tuned in as a true fan of the game!
  18. i came here to this board to check the news for one of the top things i've done for the past 10 years praying for more music from will, my prayers were answered, FRESH PRINCE is back a week after the pope blessed his hometown Philly on his birthday weekend, AMEN!
  19. with will making his music comeback, it'd be only fitting to get some JJFP tracks on here
  20. this track could be what switch was for lost and found album, there's big things in the works, btw it's my father's birthday on thursday as well, great times ahead!
  21. wow what a week for hip hop, first ll cool j's working with dr. dre and dj premiere and now we get the first song from will in 10 years!
