  1. Well personally I don't care how much the album sells as long as it's a great album that I'll enjoy, there's some great albums in hip-hop history(music history for that matter) that never sold high numbers but the peeps that buy them appreciate them, but it'd be nice to see somethin' dope top the charts for a change, I don't think sales are the most important thing here, it's about putting out quality more than anything. It'd be nice to see talent and quality being marketed instead of gimmicks but it ain't a perfect world, it ain't just the Americans fault, I don't think we Americans should be blamed for everything that's wrong right now with music, we could only do our part as individuals, if you don't like somebody just ignore them and don't buy their album, support a talented mc that doesn't get airplay instead. btw though, I thought I remember FP sayin' in an interview that "Born To Reign" was some of the best work he did, maybe he said that 'cause he made songs about Jada, I guess. :dunno: From a personal standpoint to him it'd might've been some of his favorite songs, but from a fan's perspective, it's not.
  2. Thanks for posting that! I doubt I'll be able to get it on my comp though.
  3. :werd: That's sad if that's the best thing 50 cent could say about Will, to even compare himself to Will is ignorant 'cause Will has already established himself as an actor and I wouldn't mind if Will ever dissed 50 'cause 50 talks ignorant.
  4. Here's some more trax with heavy bass you could roll to: KRS-ONE "Step Into A World"(Rapture's Delight) LL Cool J "Boomin' System" LL Cool J "Loungin'"(Remix) JJFP "I'm Lookin' For The One"(To Be With Me) Snoop Dogg "Drop It Like It's Hot" Blackstreet Feat. Queen Pen and Dr. Dre "No Diggity" Eric B. and Rakim "I Know You Got Soul" James Brown "Sex Machine" MC Hammer "Turn This Mutha Out" Big Pun Feat. Joe "Still Not A Player"
  5. "In Da Club" was actually one of 50's better videos, but anyway I think it doesn't make sense they'd compare FP to Britney Spears and Nelly, his music ain't gimmicks and he's been around longer than both of them combined and is a legend in the hip-hop game. :nono:
  6. I'd prefer Tra-Knox over a lot of these wack r&b cats who can't sing at all that're topping the charts doing lame crunk songs. But I thought that was way too much Tra-Knox on that album, like I said before if he wanted to a whole album with an r&b group, he should've did one with a legendary group like Boyz II Men, that'd worked better, that could've helped them top the charts again too. I like "Born To Reign" though the way it was, I actually listen to that a few days ago, there's some good songs on there that you could relax with your lover with, but it didn't have that aggressive FP edge that puts him at the top, but it was still better quality than what was out at that time.
  7. It didn't make it today unfortunately. :toetap:
  8. Hey I'm glad to see Faith Evans back in the r&b game, a beautiful woman with a good voice is rare to find these days, I saw her new video "Again" on BET today.
  9. I think that's stupid that only Walmart would have the bonus download, I think all music stores should give the bonus download for those who can't get it at Walmart.
  10. I have it on too right now, so far they ain't showin' it.
  11. Well it's a good thing when artists wanna collaborate with you but I don't think guest appearances make an album great, look at "He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper", that was JJFP's best album and it had no guest appearances on it. As far as "Willenium" goes it was a great album, but I think the wrong singles were released on that album, and people thought it was just a Puff Daddy pop-rap type album based on the singles "Will2K" and "Freakin' It" but the rest of the songs on the album was straight hip-hop, some of the best work FP has ever done.
  12. I have #16 seed beating a #1 seed in my bracket, Montana over Washington, even if it doesn't happen I don't see Washington going far anyway. I only have Duke going to the Final Four as a #1 seed.
  13. I saw the new Common video on "Rap City" the other day called "In The Corner", it's a staight hip-hop video with a nice message to it, I'm looking forward to getting his album next month, there's some hope in hip-hop this year after all.
  14. KRS-ONE "Step Into A World"(Rapture's Delight), A perfect display of the hip-hop culture FP "Miami", that was such a fun looking video, there was some nice eye candy in that video too Nas feat. Lauryn Hill "If I Ruled The World", it's my favorite Nas video and song, this represents the street essence of hip-hop Salt-N-Pepa feat. En Vogue "Whatta Man", what I can I say they were looking gorgeous in this video, it was a great song too, I know a lot of guys would've wanted to be in this video
  15. Yeah "Switch" didn't make it again today, I didn't see any good videos at all on the countdown it seems, that "Candy Shop" video is wack, I guess not many JJFP fans watch 106&Park.
  16. :werd: He was a true individual, there was nobody like him, and there never will be either!
  17. Nuff props for making it to 1000 posts!
  18. Hey I didn't get know "Just Crusin'" with Jazzy Jeff was on "Born To Reign" :cwm:
  19. :hilarious: Hey I actually said a line about sausage in one of the songs I wrote, hey I have somethin' in common with Will now! :cwm: "My head is potent To fiend for another rhyme dosage I'm hungry for rap like I am for sausage"
  20. Well bigted thought FP said "f*ck" in Im looking for the one, maybe he's obsessed with swearing like me with horses?
  21. I think it's a good possibility it could happen this year, I don't think that the top college teams are as dominant this year as years past, which is a good thing 'cause it'll make a better tournament, when tournaments get too predictable, the games are boring.
  22. Even if LL gradually gets his due as an actor it won't overshadow his mc status to me, just like with FP, I think they're both better mcs than actors. I love his 1st film he did in 1985 called "Krush Groove" which is a classic hip-hop film that mostly Run-Dmc shines in about Russell Simmon's start of Def Jam. He had brief roles in a lot of other films, including "Woo" with Jada, and "Any Given Sunday" with Jamie Foxx which he did a good job in, "S.W.A.T." with Samuel L. Jackson, and he co-starred with Garbrielle Union in "Deliver Us From Eva" to name a few, I think he could take his acting to the next level if he chose to, definately more than what Ludacris, Eminem, or Nelly could do 'cause they resemble lil' acting ability in the films they appearing in, they just do it for the money, not the art. There's no question that "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air" is miles ahead of "In The House" though.
  23. Well he did curse on "Don't Say Nothin'" when he said "More top notch ---- for you to cop" when ----- meant s***, this ain't nothin' new, he curses in real life, so even if he started cursing in his songs he's still keepin' it real
  24. :werd: FP's been in hip-hop for 20 years now, he has right to call out these kids if he wants to, he doesn't have to kiss their ass when they're punks! :ali:
