  1. Come on now, if that's true, I think FP should ask us to write lyrics for him. :lolsign:
  2. That article was corny. :kekeke: How could u not know what big willie means? :dunno: I thought y'all speak english in the UK.
  3. Jamie's career is at an all time high now, who know he might actually sell well if he makes an album 'cause r&b sucks right now, it's his golden opportunity. If he made an album 10 years ago, he couldn't compete when Keith Sweat, Boyz II Men, TLC, and Blackstreet were dominating the r&b charts, but who's really out now with that kinda caliber? :dunno:
  4. Come on y'all u believe this bulls***? I don't think it's true, the person who posted that over on willsmith.com is probably lying, I won't believe it until Tim says that those lyrics are legit 'cause he's the one true legit source on JJFP. Even if FP did curse on some of his songs, I ain't gonna trip over it as long as he doesn't change his style and try to sound like G Unit by saying meaningless rhymes, Nas and KRS curse on some their songs, and they're my favorite mcs besides FP.
  5. I personally don't care what 50 cent says anymore, the man's an idiot and should learn to keep his mouth shut, if he keeps on talking this ignorance he could get killed possibly, I don't wanna see that happen 'cause that would give a bad label to all rappers, especially since 50's the highest selling rapper, the media will diss hip-hop hard, and great mcs like FP will retire from it 'cause it ain't worth dying over, this is not a cartoon show this is reality, he needs to grow up and learn how to respect people, he's putting himself in his own mess, that's all I gotta say. :ditto:
  6. I thought Will Smith met Jazzy Jeff in the early '80s, I think it's possible they might've did some underground stuff before they made "Girls Ain't Nothin' Trouble" in 1986 'cause they were winnin' battles in Philly before they got signed, maybe some of those battles were recorded on tape. Nas would be old enough back then to remember hearing about it, most of us here wouldn't know about it since we were either too lil' or weren't born yet. :ditto:
  7. That song's deep, I think a lot of us could relate to this song! Good job! :thumb:
  8. Nas is always giving props to the ol' school hip-hop legends, it doesn't surprise me that he gives props to JJFP, he has a song on "street's disciple" called "u.b.r"(unauthorized biography of rakim) giving props to rakim and is gonna release it as his next single. Thanks for posting that interview! :thumb:
  9. Run-Dmc Feat. Pete Rock and CL Smooth 'Down With The King'
  10. If you go any hip-hop site, you'd see that they're saying that Nas would destroy 50 cent in a battle, just like they're saying Will could beat Eminem in a battle. Hip-hop heads think that Aftermath/G Unit mcs are fools and are just doing this for the money, end of the story. :ditto: I think all battles in hip-hop these days are too ignorant and negative so there's no point in battlin' 'cause there's too much media attention now, back in the days when cats battle it was all friendly and about the skills. A'ight I ain't talking about this no more, no matter what happens Will and Nas are my favorites 'cause they're not gonna ruin their careers over negativity.
  11. I wouldn't call myself a pro, but my quality is damn sure close to it, and trust me, my setup is not that expensive. That's easy for you to say man 'cause you're signed to a record label ain't u? :dunno:
  12. I think a lot of mcs, even the ones we don't like(eminem for instance) have their moments, I might like a couple of their songs, but they just ain't consistant, and what they do has been done over and over before, that's why I don't think too many mcs could top what Run-Dmc, JJFP, Kurtis Blow, and LL did(or still do) to get people to recognize the art of hip-hop, like Treach of Naughty By Nature said, "today there's more artists than fans".
  13. Millions of people can freestyle, but when you don't have anything important to say, it just sounds like a bunch of words and syllables. We focus too much on quanity than quality these days, Run-Dmc's rhymes were short as hell but they had a lot of meaning behind them, that's why cats diss the ol' school hip-hop 'cause they think that the ones that spits the most bars is the dopest :nhawong: .
  14. I'm glad y'all like my song and I have no beef with Joe, it's only battlin', I might drop some more lines in if I get a chance to, but I'd prefer if others would get involved too. :ditto:
  15. Hey djsilvertiger, I feel your point there, although I personally disagree with you a lil' bit there about Snoop, I'd preferred it even more if FP put younger mcs lookin' for a break on his album, I'd love to have collaborated with him. :lolsign: But in all seriousness though, the younger mcs have to try to make it on their own by making their own mixtapes, like I'm gonna do gradually if I wanna still do it, well at least Kel Spencer could tell his grandkids that he collaborated wit a hip-hop legend, I'd kill for that opportunity. :ditto: It's hard to judge an artist on just 2 or 3 songs, he has a lot of potential, he needs to put some work in, I ain't dissin' him, he might come out large(I ain't talkin' about just sales either though, he could become the king of the underground) when he's 40 for all I know, age ain't nothin' but a number if he wants to do it still.
  16. Eminem's a fake, don't even compare him to FP, when FP freestyles, he freestyles, Eminem just rhymes his songs, that's why he has so many freestyles 'cause he says the same thing over and over. :ditto:
  17. You wanna hear some great beats, buy a KRS-ONE album, nothin' could top that boombap sound, but at least there's boombap lyrics too for them. :ditto: Those beats on "Code Red" are also better than anything anything that's G Unit, of course the album itself is too better than all G Unit combined, if teeny boppers heard it they wouldn't diss JJFP.
  18. FP "Don't Say Nothin'", that's what all these G Unit fools need to do if they got nothin' nice to say! :ditto:
  19. :werd: What has Kel Spencer done in the last 6 years? Has he toured and made any mixtapes/albums 'cause there's a whole bunch of underground mcs that do that but don't get fame but at least they're out there 'cause they have skills. I think Kel Spencer is probably more of a songwriter and not an mc 'cause if it takes 6 years to release a mixtape or an album as a new artist, something's wrong. DMX debuted on LL's album around that time and his career blew up, Snoop debuted on "Deep Cover' with Dr. Dre and his career blew up, Busta Rhymes career blew up after he was on 'Scenerio' with Tribe Called Quest, so that was a golden opportunity for Kel Spencer to jump start his career with miilions listening to "Willenium" and "Wild Wild West soundtrack" but he didn't obviously after 6 years, if Aceyalone was on "Willenium" he'd be platinum by now probably, he's one of the dopest underground mcs, Kel blew his chance, somebody else should get it. :ditto:
  20. Then you just need to respect my opinion. I mean, you're saying all that, but you ain't practicing. If I don't like Snoop doing porn then that's my opinion and I can keep it. And this line stood out "he has more classic albums in his career than Kel Spencer has recorded songs." How do you know that? The only truth you know about that is that he has more albums than recorded songs that you heard. And quantity is not what matters, it's the quality. And Kel Spencer stomps all over Snoop in that department. Really, I don't care how long Snoop Dogg has been in the game. He comes out with some songs that I think are alright every now and then but that doesn't mean I don't think he can fall off. The whole image Snoop tries to present himself is gangsta, whether he really is or not. Do you guys think the name of his album has a hidden meaning or something. I can be a fan of Will's without thinking the man can do no wrong. There are better artists he can work with and better artists he should work with. I really like Born to Reign. Not an opinion shared with a lot of people on this board. I really like Willenium, but the one song I could do without is Da Butta. Fact is Will DOES confuse me. If these are the artists he's thinking are great, what does it have to take for them to be bad? Also, a porno and a R-rated movie are not even comparable. Ali is rated R. I wouldn't care if kids saw that. Don't give the "What's the big deal?" arguement. I don't have to like it, and you have to accept it. Let me share my opinion without sucking up for Will every chance I get. God Blessa!
  21. Truck Feat. Big Pun, Kool G Rap, and KRS-ONE "Symphony 2000"
  22. Hey man Snoop Dogg has dropped a lot of classic hip-hop albums in his career, he has more classic albums in his career than Kel Spencer has recorded songs, FP respects Snoop a lot whether you like it or not. So what if Snoop did pornos, doesn't FP do R-rated movies? What's the big deal, as long as kids don't watch, it ain't a big issue, either way. :ditto: Like I said before as long as the songs are dope I could care less who's on it.
