  1. J-Lo started out as an actress and had a lot of success with her 1st few movies and then started to sing, since she started to do music, her acting skills have really fallen off and actually is better at singing now, but I don't consider her one of my favorites, even though I think that "Get Right" is a definite club banger, and she's looking fine as always in that video. :sonny:
  2. Snoop Doggy Dogg "Gin And Juice", hip-hop classic joint right here, :dj:
  3. Even though I think that FP's rippin' this beat well lyrically, I'd been even more excited if a legendary producer like Teddy Riley or Diamond D produced the beat, but we can't live in the past forever, FP wanted to reach out, try somethin new, and give Ludacris a chance and it worked at well, now if Lil' Jon produced the beat I'd probably throw up 'cause him yelling "Yeah!" on all the songs he produces is mad corny. :kekeke: This song sounds like a definite club banger to me though, Ludacris stepped it up here in my opinion. :thumb:
  4. Eminem shouldn't even be on this list, he's playing a rapper in the movie, but wait a minute that is acting 'cause he ain't really a rapper. :lolsign: At least not a good one, well at least that's my opinion. The top 3 should be Will Smith, Queen Latifah, and LL Cool J, they're phenominal talents in the hip-hop world/mainstream world.
  5. I finally got the DVD in the mail 2day, I ordered it a month ago from Columbia House DVD Club and I thought that I'd get it the 1st day when it came out, I don't know what happened! :dunno: Well I checked out "Back To Bel-Air" 2day, it's a really good documentary, most of my favorite episodes are from the 1st season so I'm really happy about getting this. :switch:
  6. That's ur 1st rhyme? It's pretty good, u could improve a lil' on the rhyme structure, but I felt the message that u were sayin' there, good job! btw, it's nice to see another Bulls fan here! :thumb:
  7. :werd: He ain't normal, that's why he's a legend, God has blessed him in many ways, freestylin' to me ain't no different than writing songs me 'cause I know since I'm an inspiring mc, sometimes when things are on your mind, you could put it to rhyme, either writing it or freestyling it, sometimes freestyles are pre-written, KRS-ONE said on the Enhanced version of "I Got Next" that some of the freestyles he does are pre-written, there ain't nothing wrong with that, anyway you could express yourself and deliver the flow as an artist is dope, even actors freestyle, they improvise lines as they go along in the filming.
  8. ...But back to topic, 'nuff props for posting the links to the songs! I'm looking forward to the more serious tracks as well, it's gonna be a nice blend of pure hip-hop! :thumb:
  9. Who cares about that, FP wouldn't be inspired from that bull**** 'cause true hip-hop heads think 50 Cent is a sell out especially now he dissed Nas, Nas is keepin' it real like FP is, why would u wanna f*** with somebody that stays true to their art? :dunno:
  10. This could be the best album since "He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper", I don't think any of his other albums came close to that one, even though "Code Red", "Homebase", and "Big Willie Style" are definite hip-hop classics, but this one could rank up there with "He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper" without a doubt, this album could open up a lot of doors in hip-hop again as well, I was too little to remember '88, but this point in '05 could become the golden age in hip-hop when these fake rappers get knocked by the fresh prince and the legends returnin' to the top. :ali:
  11. He definately freestyled it, he's been rhyming for about 25 years now, longer than a lot of rappers out right now have been currently living, when he gets in a creative groove, he could do anything still even at 36, Chuck D's 44 and is about to come back at a high level again too, James Brown's in his 70's and still can hype the crowd up too when he performs, they still have more fire than cats half their age, I don't ever expect to touch them, anyone to diss them is stupid.
  12. Oh damn looking back at that post makes me realise that my dream's comin' true, FP's focused as much as I was hopin' he'd be.
  13. who knows there might be even better songs on the album, I'm gonna say that this could be the album of the decade in hip-hop! FP's gonna be the king after releasing this album.
  14. Hey I heard 50 Cent is gonna diss Nas and Fat Joe on his new album, it's all hype and gimmicks to sell records so I won't buy it, I was sucked in by the "Get Rich Or Die Tryin'" hype I'll admit but that to me is one album I wish I never bought 'cause I don't listen to it anymore, Will is gonna address Eminem on his new album coming but it ain't for hype intentions, he's doing it to show Eminem that he shouldn't take someone's kindness for a weakness, he does songs to enlighten people with his artistry, it ain't about sales or dissin' but he sells a lot of albums and has success worldwide 'cause there are some people out there who respect that. If you look at the charts though, you don't see too many mcs selling millions of albums with something important to say, I see that Nas, LL, and FP are the only ones, but there are other true mcs like Talib Kweli and Chuck D who actually have stronger world fan bases than they do here in America where they're from.
  15. "Party Starter" is incredible, FP is back y'all! "Pump Ya Brakes" is a smooth jam, FP and Snoop are spittin' game like the legends they are. :ali: Why would anyone doubt him? :dunno: Eminem's probably gonna be nervous when he hears this. :kekeke:
  16. This interview is great, Will dropping a lot of knowledge there, damn he's really focused! I love the freestyle too! :dj: I never heard of this station before, nuff props for letting me know about it.
  17. Salt-N-Pepa Feat. En Vogue "Whatta Man", I wish they'd all come back again, those ladies are talented
  18. :werd: I agree with that, that's a realistic amount for him to do, 3-4 million worldwide would be great,ol' school hip-hop is appreciated more around the world than it is over here in the US it seems, there'll probably be a world tour as well.
  19. LL's "Hush" still gettin' airplay in UK? Damn they show more love to hip-hop legends over there than they do here. btw, I'm listening to Westside Connection "It's Da Holidaze"(actually I'm watchin' the video on the "Friday After Next" DVD I'm watchin')
  20. I thought that the verse that Nas spit in the video was very good, it was good for the video but I like the album version better myself. I heard that the next single is gonna be "U.B.R."(Unauthorized Biography Of Rakim), which also one of my favorites on the album, I can't wait to see that video, it's nice to see how much Nas gives props to the hip-hop legends, more rappers should do that too. :ditto:
  21. LL Cool J "I Can't Think", I could basically listen to this song forever and still like it :dj:
  22. :werd: I rather see 300,000 or 13 million buy the album and like it rather than half of them buying it and saying it's wack, I'm hoping that this album is a hip-hop treasure that could have success, don't get me wrong, I think if this album has success sales wise, it could help bring hip-hop back again to where it needs to be, but even if it sells less and is still a hip-hop classic, I'll still be happy 'cause I love "Code Red" even though it didn't sell much and a lot of hip-hop fans that heard do too.
  23. Nas makes meaningful songs like "One Mic", "If I Ruled The World", "I Can", "Bridgin' The Gap", and "Just A Moment" and releases them as singles, he's one of the few mainstream mcs that ol' school legends like Chuck D, LL, and FP respect.
