  1. FP seems like a very cool person to talk to, he never lets his accomplishments get to his head, as it showed here in this interview, one of my favorite lines in this interview was: "I ain't doing this for the money", FP's keepin' it real!
  2. ...Hyped off the emotion he writes So Cooley took that advice And picked up the mic At the block party the next day Then rocked the crowd in a funky fresh way B-Boys and girls felt the heat he blazed So suddenly his confidence was back Once he was able to relax And capable to blast Delivering the flameful raps So he quickly became a crowd favorite at the jam Which attracted a whole bunch of competition Including this cat named Chris who came to battle him.../
  3. What's up y'all check out this Hot 97 Interview: http://www.hot97.com/multimedia/interviewP...st=Will%20Smith
  4. Hey scyhigh you forgot to mention Kirk Hinrich of the Bulls, he's gonna be one of the best PG's in the NBA over the next coming years and lead the Bulls back to glory again!
  5. I wasn't dissin' FP by sayin' that he cursed in movies, don't get mad at me like I'm a hater, I'm just sayin' it how it is, I'm sure he curses in real life once in a while, he's human like everyone else and btw he did curse in "I'm Lookin' For The One"(To Be Wit Me) 'cause he said:"You know the puck don't stop here/ F***, the puck started here" http://www.ohhla.com/anonymous/frprince/co...looking.jfr.txt Who knows maybe it was a typo there, but what difference does it make anyway, I don't think FP is great 'cause he doesn't curse in his songs, I think he's great 'cause of his humor and personality as an mc, and even though 2Pac cursed a lot I consider him the greatest mc of all time, to me it doesn't mean s*** if you curse in your songs or not, as long as you make quality music, and music is still entertainment too, not everything you say in music has to be true, but some movies are based on real life too, it ain't all fiction.
  6. didn't he say f*** on "I'm Lookin' For The One"(To Be Wit Me), and he said b**** on "You Saw My Blinker" and didn't he curse a lot in Bad Boys II, what difference does it make anyway? :dunno: I could care less if he curses or not, as long as he drops dope hip-hop. FP ain't ever gonna go gangsta though, that ain't his style.
  7. I think 3cookies said that she's friends with Kevin Willis. I think that there are probably the same amount of superstars now as there was 10-15 years ago, but it's hard to find many role players now that do the dirty work to help the team win that don't go on the stat sheet like Kevin Willis has done in his entire career, like what Charles Oakley and Horace Grant did in their careers, more players today are worried over their contracts and their stats so they don't play team basketball, and I think those days of a point guard passing the ball more than he shoots are probably over, I don't think we'll see young point guards do what players like John Stockton and Mark Jackson did to get teammates involved.
  8. Guy "Love Online", btw I try to listen to JJFP everyday too, I was listening to "Code Red" earlier today
  9. I just checked my email and I got it too! :ditto:
  10. Lebron is only in his 2nd year in the NBA, it's too early to compare him to Jordan, there could be a whole bunch of players that could be better than Lebron that've yet to come in. Grant Hill, Penny Hardaway, and Vince Carter have been said to be the next Jordan and that wasn't true, but in their prime they were very good players. I don't think that there could be many players that're gonna top what Karl Malone, Scottie Pippen, and Reggie Miller did in their careers either since most players only have a string of 5 years of greatness, it's harder to have 15-20 years of consistancy, gotta give props to Kevin Willis too 'cause he's the only active player left from the '84 draft(which proves how durable he's been) it's the same in hip-hop where it's hard to have longevity like FP, LL, and KRS have, give props to the legends where it's due.
  11. Associated Press SALT LAKE CITY -- There will be no NBA career scoring record for Karl Malone. No championship ring, either. The Mailman is retiring, having come up short in his quest for both during his 19-year career. Malone Malone, 41, will announce his retirement Sunday, the Jazz said Friday. He will hold a news conference at the Delta Center -- the arena where his 1997 and 1999 league MVP awards are celebrated with signs below the upper deck. Soon, a giant No. 32 Malone jersey will assuredly hang above the court. "Even though he never won a championship, he had an outstanding career," said Jerry Sloan, Malone's coach for 15 of his seasons in Utah. "He played a lot of times when he shouldn't have. He did whatever he could to try to win, and I think that kind of thing is overlooked a lot these days in the game of basketball." NBA All-Time Scorers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 38,387 Karl Malone 36,928 Michael Jordan 32,292 Wilt Chamberlain 31,419 Malone's agent, Dwight Manley, said Malone was "very serious" about returning to action with the San Antonio Spurs before he decided to retire. "I can tell you he's given a tremendous amount of thought to this decision, but the specific details are best left to him to make on Sunday," Manley said. Malone retires with 36,928 points, just 1,459 points behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record 38,387. He spent all but one of his 19 seasons with the Jazz, signing with the Los Angeles Lakers as a free agent before last season. He made the move so he could make one more run at the ring that eluded him in trips to the NBA finals in 1997 and '98. Malone: Durable Deliveryman Minutes 54,852 2nd all-time Games 1,476 3rd Rebounds 14,968 6th Malone made it to the finals again with the Lakers, but came up empty. Detroit beat Los Angeles in five games. Malone teamed with guard John Stockton for 18 seasons with Utah to form one of the NBA's greatest duos, leading the Jazz to the finals twice but losing to Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls each time. "He had a great career here and did a terrific job for the Jazz," Sloan said. Stockton, the NBA's all-time leader in assists and steals, retired in 2003 after 19 seasons, all with the Jazz. Malone gave it one more year, joining the Lakers at a greatly reduced salary before last season in an attempt to win a title by playing with Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant. He missed 39 games during the regular season after injuring his right knee, and was hurt again during the playoffs. He was limited in Games 3 and 4 against the Pistons and missed Game 5. "We've had one year with him and everyone in the organization, from the front office staff, fellow players, coaches, everyone really enjoyed having Karl around for that year," Lakers spokesman John Black said. "He was a real addition to our team last year in helping us get to the NBA playoffs." Malone opted out of his $1.65 million contract after last season, making him a free agent. He and his family live in Newport Beach, Calif. They also have a home in Salt Lake City. Manley said in October that his client wasn't ready to play but that if he returned, it would only be with the Lakers. That changed late last year after Malone was accused by Bryant of making a pass at Bryant's wife. Malone, through Manley, denied the accusation and apologized to Bryant and his wife for any remarks she might have considered inappropriate.
  12. That's another strong song on the "Big Willie Style", it's hard to find any weak joints on there, unlike some mcs who sell a lot for an album that doesn't have much substance on it, but this album backed up the hype, it's a definite hip-hop classic. :ali:
  13. Thanks FUQ, yeah this song's one my favorite songs that I ever wrote, I basically wanna remain a true mc more than anything, it ain't about fame or money, I consider help makin' positive changes more relevant rather than focusing on the materialistic and negative thoughts that some rappers enforce in their songs just to get hits and platinum plaques. If anyone else has comments on this song feel free to post it here.
  14. It's interesting how everyone has different tastes in hip-hop here
  15. Blackstreet "I Think I've Fallin' In Love Again", Dave Hollister is incredible in this song!
  16. This video should be the #1 hip-hop video on TRL, let's vote like crazy for this y'all, FP's gotta be on top again!
  17. DMX Feat. Stephanie Mills "When I'm Nothing", it's such a deep song!
  18. Not every rapper that curses is a gangsta rapper, I don't think anyone considers Slick Rick, LL Cool J, or KRS-ONE gangsta rappers, even though they cursed on few of their songs, so I wouldn't trip if FP cursed a lil' bit in his songs, that wouldn't make him gangsta. He's been keepin' it real to who he is, he's not a gangsta and he's not gonna act like one now. There are a lot of mcs who just don't keep it true to who they are, one minute they act hard and diss those who dance in videos wit girls, then another minute they're dancing in videos with girls(no need to say names, we all know who they are already), how're they keepin' it real?
  19. What's up y'all it's been a while since I posted songs here, check it out y'all. “More Feeling”(Wit My Songs) Chorus: You listen to my songs Over and over And you feel that the emotion of life's strong When this world gets colder and colder And everyone that was a friend of mine's gone My rhymes get stronger and stronger 'Cause this is the feeling to this vibe when I'm alone My life is not over When I go bring more feelin' with my songs Verse One: I feel somethin' is missin' When I can't deal without writing lyrics with my pen It's a medicine that knocks out my stress To a lyricist writing a song is like sex When it has no boundaries Rippin' the flow is sound to me There's no regrets to show when emotion come out to reach I don't have no babies, so my songs are my new found seeds I haven't met a woman strong enough So I've been feelin' that I must put more energy Into somethin' more positive for me 'Cause when I run into people that hate And I listen to wack songs on the radio that track the same foolish ways I don't know how to make it through the day Until I ignore the hurt and dig deep into my brain To write more lyrics to decrease my pain 'Cause I know like Dilated Peoples and Kanye “I Can't Live My Life This Way” I have to be the one to make a change I need to make songs that'll last longer than me Like 2Pac I'll be the cat that'll impact stronger even when I'm deceased The world needs a change and I feel that it'll happen wit me [Repeat Chorus] Verse Two: We all feel hurt enough Sometimes to deal at work is tough You can't always appeal against a jerk who fronts When the boss is watchin' 'Cause violence isn't the option To put food on the table It's hard to keep your cool and remain stable Your blood pressure rises Starvin' children dying You got a job, you don't wanna get fired Jobs these days are like gold They're sacred so you have to stive to hold your own role So you can't let the devil buy out your whole soul The anger levels get out of control People are startin' to rob banks at a higher pace 'Cause the pressure to pay the rent has taken his toll You need music to calm the soul Not put more anger on it That's the wrong dagger to go rip Sometimes we lose control of our sense That's when we get out of hand I have the need to write out a jam 'Cause I have to let mankind understand [Repeat Chorus] Verse Three: We don't always look back of our past Over the matter of a year 'Cause the stats that weren't out on the pad Don't always come up that clear Since we don't remember what it took to last We wonder why we end up outmatched from fear Since we don't remember what it took to last We wonder why we end up outmatched from fear Since the unknown overcomes Your role's a crumb If you don't role for some fun Your friends put a toll that weighs a ton And you don't remember a way that the drama begun I can sit back and tell some stories But I don't have to overwhelm the shorties That just wanna take a check Just 'cause they're horny, that doesn't mean I'm ready to appeal for interest Like a credit card That you find that's been overcharged Why can I use the craft of a true artist to get large? Is what critics of hardcore lyricism bust out from the start You'd think that it's easy, but it's not 'cause sometimes the fact can eat me up inside 'Cause of the effort in my lovin' try To make a change for the world is such a tide Of a wave to carry I don't pay any attention towards that hate they spared for me The words don't get me upset 'Cause that's the work of a pity of the friend That tries to use, but can't happen to fuse Nothin' constuctive So when they're done, they're dissed Since they disrespected they can't get perspective To compute in this lyrical invention When...[Repeat Chorus] Verse Four: It's been a while since I took a record this long But representin' the love for the style has put the desire to store hits strong Out on opponents that're washed up to find the strength of a song People wanna hear somethin' just go on M.C's need to make the kind of songs That you'll find strong, many years ahead from the time it first got on The radio, the average time of airplay doesn't play the role To last that long, most think that the songs They made will always penetrate to fulfill pay But after a few weeks or months The wack crews'll speak the front But they don't reach your heart When you need to hear a spark Music is really a clear art And it's also a friend When you're in a hole of a dead end Spittin' your flows have to hit Since you're in control of the rap you rip You can either sound low to just rap foolish garbage Or you can make the decision to master something That the true fans are just missing They turned away from the stunt b****s They don't concern to create some competition Being softees they think everyone wants to sleep with them Acting all careless like a disease that flares the innocent They didn't need to have a spare for it If you don't really care, you're unwanted The true fans will come to me if they want entertainment Since I'm also known to them as a lovin' friend [Repeat Chorus 'Til End]
  20. That's a cool song right there!
  21. I pre-ordered it too, hopefully it comes soon 4 me.
  22. FP ain't a gangsta rapper or a pop rapper, he's a true mc and that's all that matters. :ditto:
