  1. :werd: They tried to do the same thing to KRS-ONE too by saying that he formed alliances with Osama Bin Laden! :nhawong: You don't believe the hype but I've never really respected anything that Nelly has ever said he's an ignorant person and his music reflects that as well.
  2. Those are the immature commercial mcs who think that Will's wack, I don't think any legend would say that Will's wack. This is about Will saving hip-hop, somebody has to do it, if I were in the position that Will's in, I'd diss Eminem 'cause he doesn't threaten me one bit, there are a lot of true rappers out there that deserve attention besides Eminem and 50 Cent, we need more balance, you can't just let somebody keep on talking s*** about you and not do anything, or else you'll be called a p****, this would only give Will more respect in the hip-hop game 'cause he is tougher than people think he is. :ali:
  3. If Will executive produced the "Hitch" soundtrack, why ain't he on it then? :dunno: Does Columbia Records have a beef wit Will? I think that it'd been dope if Heavy D remade the song with Aaorn Hall and have FP spit a verse on there rather than just throwing the original version on there.
  4. I saw that Will was at the Super Bowl rockin' a TO jersey, dope stuff! :thumb: The Eagles lost last night but they'll be back next year and over the next few years to win some Super Bowls, we have the dynasty in the making, it even took Jordan 7 years to win his 1st ring and Mcnabb's in his prime still. :switch:
  5. They're showing the video tonight? :dunno: I think I'll try to check 106& Park all week if I could 'till I see the video.
  6. Will and Jada are lookin' fly like always, thanks for the pics! :thumb:
  7. Today marks the 5th year anniversary since Big Pun's death, I think if Big Pun was still alive, he would have more success than Eminem, I liked him better back then in the late '90s more than I did like Eminem, even when Eminem had some aight stuff, I never considered Eminem one of my favorites, of course I think he's mediocre now, but I consider Big Pun's wordplay similar to Big Daddy Kane when he came in the game, except it had a spanish flavor to it.
  8. That Kanye West is a good song that got airplay but I think there have been more songs by other mcs that don't get airplay that are more powerful, basically any song on KRS-ONE's "Spiritual Minded" album is more powerful than "Jesus Walks". Strippers dancing to "Jesus Walks"? Damn that sounds corny! "Kamakaze" was one of the better releases last year in mainstream hip-hop, but I don't listen to it much either anymore, that tells you how bad hip-hop is now, albums you buy now, you get sick of them after a few months. :ditto: That's what makes mcs like JJFP, Nas, LL, KRS, and Public Enemy so great, 10 years from buying the album, you could still listen to them and enjoy them, of course by then, you'll have to buy a few of that album 'cause it'd wear out from playing it so much.
  9. I don't think I'll buy the "Hitch" soundtrack since FP ain't on it but I'm looking forward to evertything else.
  10. Happy birthday Tim! :thumb: :birthday:
  11. what's up y'all since there's a lot of new peeps here now I figured I'd ask what 10 hip-hop albums besides JJFP albums are in heavy rotation in your CD player, here's mine: 1.LL Cool J "Mama Said Knock You Out" 2.KRS-ONE "Return Of Da Boom Bap" 3. Public Enemy "It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back" 4. 2Pac "All Eyez On Me" 5. Run-Dmc "Raising Hell" 6. Nas "Illmatic" 7. Eric B. and Rakim "Paid In Full" 8.Fuggees "The Score" 9.Talib Kweli and DJ Hi-Tek "Reflection Eternal" 10. Common "Like Water For Chocolate"
  12. :werd: You could probably take every song on that "He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper" album and rank them among the best songs JJFP ever done, it's such a powerful album! btw I'm listening to Eric B. and Rakim "Follow The Leader" :dj:
  13. How about that song by Twista & Faith Evans called "Hope", that song seems to have a lot of heart and is doing well commercially. In recent years Nas' "One Mic', Talib Kweli's "Get By", and Kanye West's "Jesus Walks" have had commercial success by addressing issues in society, but that's basically it, everything else has been bootyshaking, crunk songs, there has to be more balance in hip-hop, everything's all the same now, we have to have different types of mcs getting record deals, not the same name brand rappers all the time.
  14. Well my favorites change all the time too but at the moment I'd have to say Big Willie Style-"Don't Say Nothin'" Willenium-"Potnas" or "The Rain" Born To Reign-"Block Party"
  15. :werd: I figured that he'd mention more serious topics on the songs he records now 'cause he's a lil' older now and he could drop knowledge for us youngeons 'cause of all the things he's seen over the years, I don't expect it to be distasteful and negative, it's gonna be something that'll make you think, not every song should be a party song, being a more electic mc is what makes you a bigger legend.
  16. Hey what about the Beastie Boys? They're one of the best groups in hip-hop history, black or white, they toured with Run-Dmc and Public Enemy in the mid-80s and they had a platinum album last year, selling more than even LL Cool J, so they're still relevant. There's also other white rappers out there that're on the underground scene that have more skills than Eminem, as well as Spanish, French, and other different races that have dope mc skills, hip-hop is still diverse, but it has to be more diverse on a mainstream level.
  17. :werd: I think the problem is with a lot of rappers is that they all of a sudden act socially conscious when it's election time 'cause it's a hot topic that could boost their sales but for the next 4 years they won't rap anything conscious, Nelly is another one of those hypocrites.
  18. I love the ol' school vibe on "He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper", it's too phenominal to top, although "Homebase" and "Code Red" come close.
  19. Cool pics, I'm gonna listen that interview in a lil while, this sounds like this could be his best album ever! :dj:
  20. Maybe those D12 fans are finally waking up to face the facts! btw, I said if Eminem's boys get involved, the legends would step in, but they didn't in 2000 'cause only Eminem dissed Will, they already know Will could easily take Eminem and they probably figured Eminem would fade in a few years like Will figured, but the reason why Will should diss him now is 'cause Eminem dissed him again on the "Encore" album in a song saying: "hey rapper slash actor, you could kiss my cracker ass" according to one of our posters here that listen to Eminem, so obviously Will probably heard it and wants to retaliate! :ali: FP could take out the whole army of fake rappers if he has to, 'nuff said.
  21. That just shows you how ignorant Nelly is! :ditto:
  22. The song's pretty good, ur gettin' better.
  23. Hey thanks for the feedback y'all! :ditto: I think that the Patriots will be in for a shock on Sunday, they finally met their match. :ali: The Eagles'll win 27-17 and JJFP'll perform at the Eagles victory parade!
  24. Here's another one: "'F' me yo what did I do? Watch your mouth man I don't even know you! I'm a peaceful man, real easy, hey you got a problem wit me 'B'?"
