  1. :werd: If you can't feel this, you don't have no soul!
  2. You're damn right! :kekeke: Hearing that song got my creative juices flowin' again, much love to FP for making another hit.
  3. :werd: :kekeke: Right now I got on Keith Sweat "Gots To Have It"
  4. Hip-hop ain't all about flashy videos, you don't have to spend a million dollars to make a great video, most of those videos are boring to me, 'cause it's the same thing you see over and over again, it's cool that Will's doing something different. I actually like this song better than when I heard "Headsprung" the 1st time and I think that song wasn't one of my favorites on LL's "The Definition", just like I don't consider "Thief's theme" one of my favorites on Nas' "Street's Disciple", most of the times I consider singles the worst songs on a great mc's album, if you're a weak commercial mc the single's the best thing you have to offer, I like listening to albums more than singles, that's my preference, I think you're a better artist when you could put together a great album rather than just a great single, when it comes to JJFP/Big Will albums, it's like a great novel, rather than one good chapter in a boring book.
  5. That's some dope stuff there! Peep this: For years mcs been frontin' All these ladies been wantin' Big Willie to give them somethin' They start to scream when they see him comin' All the fellas bust on the scene to go clubbin' When they peep all the mamis they're wantin' Only this Fresh Prince outta Philly can get your blood pumpin' This much with fresh lyrics over a beat that's drum bumpin' Making you wish that it was "Summertime" all over again This great groove "Switch" takes your mind away from the troubles we witness All we need now is some scratches on the turntables from the Magnificent
  6. :werd: ...plus "Parents Just Don't Understand", "Brand New Funk", and "Girls Ain't Nothin' But Trouble", I don't think any single could top those songs, it's hard to top yourself when you're a great artist, no matter how much FP does he'll be known mostly for those songs he did earlier in his career, at least he should be. :ditto: It's like that with LL Cool J, KRS-ONE, and Public Enemy too, they stay consistant but they're more known for earlier songs that they did when they started. I think that the track is straight hip-hop for the '05 to bring FP back on the scene, I can't think of any song out now in the mainstream that I like better than this one already, if this song doesn't get you pumped up, you must be dead. Who knows this could be one of the weaker tracks on the album, that's how great this album could be and that's why I'm excited! :switch: Most songs that get airplay on the radio I'd give a 5 rating at best, except for a couple that I like, 2004 was the arguably the worst year in hip-hop but with JJFP comin' back in the '05, they could bring more life to hip-hop, this is the equilvalent of Michael Jordan comin' back to the NBA.
  7. To me I think freestylin' and writin' go hand in hand, once you perfect one, you could perfect the other, once I started getting good at writing, I started to get better freestylin', practice makes perfect.
  8. :werd: Out of 10 I'd rate "Summertime" a 20, that song's one of the best songs in the '90s period, this song I'd give a 9, it might be the best song that came out in the last year in hip-hop but that doesn't say much! :ditto:
  9. I'll definately buy it when it drops, this is gonna be another classic! :ali:
  10. That does look like somethin' that Slick Rick would write, FP's stepped it up again! :thumb:
  11. Hey y'all I'm in there now, let's discuss "Switch"!
  12. Happy B-Day Joe! Enjoy "Switch"! :dj: :birthday:
  13. I'm gonna watch the video later 'cause I gotta go to work soon. Much props to Da Brakes and Julie for hooking us up!
  14. :ditto: :switch: :ditto: same here! :ditto: switch :switch: :switch: :switch: heyyyyyyaaaayyy True dat! This is the best song I heard in a while from any mc, it got a lot of energy! :thumb: :ali:
  15. :werd: There's some dope tracks on there, 'nuff props to Tim 4 letting me know about Pep Love! :thumb:
  16. I liked that song when it came out, the remix version with DMX, Redman, and Method Man was dope as hell too, that was a dope posse track back in the Y2K. btw right now I'm listenin' to Nas "Escobar '97" off the MIB soundtrack
  17. Kel Spencer is a real throwback mc, when you hear him rhyme, he's got that Big Daddy Kane/Rakim/KRS-ONE/LL/FP/Chuck D type flow, he's too talented not to be out now, but there's a lot of talented cats out there that don't get fame either, the industry's messed up, people gotta stop buying The Game's album and start supporting mcs with real game! :ditto: It's a shame that KRS-ONE and Public Enemy can't even go gold anymore and they're the legends of the hip-hop game. :nhawong:
  18. I registered as NJRebel, my other nickname.
  19. :werd: Even he doesn't get on a big label, he should at least sign to an underground label and keep his name out there in the game like Talib Kweli does, btw, where could I get some of those songs?
  20. :werd: I saw the video on BET the other day, it's a great song! Right now I'm listening to Wyclef Jean "Industry", this song was underrated, this was my favorite song in the summer of '03.
  21. There's no doubt I'm buying it when it drops 'cause since it's on a mainstream label, it'll be easier for me to find than a KRS-ONE album 'cause after 6 months I still can't find his album that I wanted since it 1st came out! :bang: btw, Snoop is easily the best mc that's collaborating on this album, no question about it, I'm mostly worried about the Ludacris collabo 'cause I don't like too much of his music, but I think that he's a funny cat.
