  1. another reason for us to feel old: http://www.xxlmag.com/news/hip-hop-today/2015/06/today-hip-hop-jay-z-releases-reasonable-doubt/
  2. i thought that the chemistry between will and tra knox on this album went really well as well, tra knox should still be in the game and this album i thought is an experimental album just like what rappers in the 2000s like kanye west and b.o.b. started doing after so it shows you how influential will is musically...
  3. will smith how da beat goes, listening to born to reign on the 13th anniversary
  4. Today also marks the 13th anniversary of Nelly's Nellyville album just like Will's Born To Reign, I didn't really support Nelly much back then 'cause he and KRS One were having a feud and I wasn't feeling that but over the years I noticed how he's evolved in the game, I learned to respect Nelly more, this is a very informative interview, check out: http://www.vibe.com/2015/06/on-tour-nelly-speaks-on-music-styles-mike-brown-and-the-charleston-tragedy/?utm_source=sc-tw&utm_medium=ref&utm_campaign=nelly
  5. I know this album gets a lot of hate over the years and I probably consider it one of his weakest too but I thought it was still one of the better albums out at that time, I liked it better than Eminem's Eminem Show and Nelly's Nellyville! Some of my favorite songs from it are "Born To Reign"(now if he kept that flow up for the whole album it'd been classic I'll admit), "Block Party", "As The Beat Goes", "Act Like You Know", "Give Me Tonite", "1000 Kisses" and even "Black Suits Comin"(Nod Ya Head) was dope even though it didn't top the original MIB song, I give it a solid B- rating on the 13th anniversary, I usually play it more this time of year, it's still better than the young money garbage out today and even the better rappers of today like kendrick lamar and j cole have trouble getting albums on this level... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Born_to_Reign
  6. well with the way things are these days it's important to have music that's tasteful and thought out for a change...on another note tori kelly posted a video on her facebook of ll cool j going on stage at her concert and performing "california lovers" with her which i thought was dope!
  7. well i think like a lot of artists from the '90s i don't think mc hammer has anything to prove, he releases music on his own terms 'cause he enjoys it, not that he has to, as fans we wanna see our favorite artists constantly put out albums but actually over recent years it's more understandable why they don't... like will other legends like mc hammer are spending time enjoying their success and spending time with their family while occasionally doing shows and i think with the respect that fans have for '90s hip hop that there's always gonna be a place in the game for the legends, this is a marathon not a sprint, while today's garbage rappers in their 20s and 30s are burning out putting out weak music the legends are running the race gracefully as they're getting into their 40s and 50s...
  8. Hammer released a couple new tracks recently "Still Water", another deep song: ...and "Be Me", a futuristic dance song:
  9. i just listened to the album this morning on google play music and i gotta say i'm impressed, there seems to be a resurgance in new artists
  10. 1 million streams in a day means it's probably gonna be a hit, loving this, welcome back janet!
  11. i found the song on google play music, gonna give it a listen in a lil' while and then i'll give some feedback on it EDIT: WOW, i didn't expect it to be that dope, LL brought it as usual but this tori kelly impressed me, i'm gonna give her whole album a listen, that sounds like a summer anthem
  12. Blackstreet The Lord Is Real(Time Will Reveal)
  13. you didn't hear about the news there might be a JJFP/LL Cool J tour? keep hope alive!
  14. Nas Feat. Lauryn Hill "If I Ruled The World"
