bigted - the great mind that thinks like me
Thanks man 4 mentionin' me man, hey are we related or somethin' 'cause we think very similiar?
the last video I saw was Nas "Thief's Theme". Which was actually good. Becuz of Nas's age and knowledge, that video is acceptable 2 me. I'm lookin foward 2 his album. I have all of em. Jadakiss's "Why" seems fake 2 me.
No matter what Nas does he always seems to be miles ahead of the average M.C., I enjoy "Thief's Theme" as well. I get the feeling that Jadakiss did that video "Why" 4 popularity 'cause never before was he ever a conscious m.c., his album went #1 on the Billboard charts last week, but I bet none of the other tracks on the album have anything to do with "Why"'s theme, I don't know 'cause I haven't jumpeed on the Jadakiss bandwagon, but I hear some of his tracks on mixtapes that I occassionally buy(I don't even buy 'em that much anymore 'cause a lot of songs are mixtapes these days are garbage) and he always talks about shooting somebody and smokin' a dutch, never anything relevant! He got a lot of skills but like other m.c.'s like Eminem and Jay-Z he uses his talent the wrong way!
-
Why doesn't he go on any mixtapes then if he feels that way? :dunno:

When MC Hammer was growing up he was assistant general manager for the Oakland A's, Rickey Henderson mentioned that a couple of years ago in an ESPN interview and he said that MC Hammer was very much involved with the team when he was there by packing the team equipment, handing players meal money, and handling of the team's lineup card. Of course they show that in a couple shows that AJ mentioned, I bet he had a lot of fun working with a major league baseball team! There ain't too many entertainers coming out these days that know how to dance, it's becoming a lost art, 'cause James Brown is in his 70's(there's controversey over his age he's 76 years old right now, though he'll tell u that he's 71 ) and he still has more moves that these young cats comin' out these days don't so i guess he ain't gonna retire from doing shows until he drops 'cause he's still performing, sure Usher got moves but I think that his dance style is too similar to Michael Jackson's to call it creative, MJ and James Brown are immortal when it comes to their skills, but all the troubles they've had wit the law has hurt them image wise.
-
He can dance better than any MC in hip-hop history period!
-
Cool! I'll try to be here for the chat! Peace! :peace:

I'd kill to have a body like Will's, it must be hard for him to stay married to Jada when a lot girls get all horny over how he looks!
-
Damn Tatyana Ali's all grown now! :dancingcool:

Cool way to promote! :thumb:

I'm not a huge MC Hammer fan but I think that he's a lot better than a lot of the talentless rappers out right now and he should be back in the game. He's a minister like KRS-ONE right? I thought it was wack that a lot of people called him a sell out when he was helping other people out. Most rappers are selfish people that don't help people out so they shouldn't diss MC Hammer 'cause at least he has heart, he's not the greatest rapper, but he's a good person for the rap game.

Hey FUQ I'm always lookin' forward to collaborate wit peeps that know how to speak their minds and not do what everyone else is doing 'cause we can change the game! Holla back!

I wrote a verse recently that's very similiar to the theme that ur talkin' about, I guess great minds think alike! :thumb: Peep this: "It all comes from a down moment Hypocrite bums are now folding 'Cause they thought the spotlight would shine out bright on them For all eternity, words are deadly Y'all ask for mercy, but your ass is hurting Those below you, they won't console you When they find their way ahead And your spotlight blurs away slipping You can break in a minute When I finish this sentence It's gonna be the beginning of ya ending And all our clocks are ticking Every moment we're living We shouldn't take for granted 'Cause love ones today are passing For somebody, we see them dying in war in a gas tank That exploded by a terroist We're losing our own fellow Americans And our worldwide friends That are humans beings tryin' to be livin' In peace but that's a trajedy to swallow again A daughter that isn't comin' home to her parents A brother that went over to try to make a livin' All the sacrifices are blessings 'Cause they died to give us protection But yet we m.c's always talk bout the ice on our neck Or all the shine on our wrists Talkin' like a bunch of children Why do we have to lie in illness? Let's put the line on what we're building By making a perfect plan Getting the momentum in ya hand Is what seperates the wisdom from a boy to a man" It would be great to see more rappers speak their minds like we do, more people will wanna listen to hip-hop than they do now if this happens!

Hey I like reggae music, don't diss reggae music, it's fun music, and I rather listen to a fun dancehall track than Petey Pablo anyday! And who knows maybe the album'll drop around my 20th birthday on March 4th 2005, they could celebrate their 20th anniversary when I celebrate my 20th birthday! :music:

So what record label is Big Will gonna be on? Is it a major label or is he joining ATOJ with Jazzy Jeff?
-
Heys guys I have to also confess that I'm a postaholic, I started posting a couple weeks later than y'all on this board but I already passed the 300 mark as well, it seems that everytime I'm not working I always seem to be posting here, this is a drug that I keep taking hits of as well 'cause this board is so addicting!

I feel those verses, they're very similiar to the reality that I write about in my songs, we need more rappers that speak the truth in their rhymes, talkin' about things that many don't wanna talk about, I give you props for that.
-
What's up y'all, my real name is Gracia, but most of my peeps call me Teddy 'cause it's my nickname, and Big Ted is my rap name.
and if Will and Jeff will come back toghether 4 a full disc they will just look like 2 old guys that try 2 remake they great career and i'm not sure it will work... I think that just 3 or 4 tracks from all the disc need 2 b with Jeff not more...
JJ&FP could still be successful if they release full length album together, look at how successful the Beastie Boys are right now and they're around the same age as JJ&FP and their album's currently in the top 10 on the Billboard charts. :nana:

Well we could also say that the reason why the sales lacked was 'cause it was released around the time where Big Will couldn't seriously promote it that much considerin' that he was promoting MIB2 and started shooting BB2 around that time. When "Black Suits Comin'" (Nod Ya Head) came out in June, the "Born To Reign" album was released that same month, but that wasn't a good idea. By the time the 2nd single "1000 Kisses" came out the album fell off the charts already! I was surprised that the album fell off the charts that fast 'cause it was a dope album, but most fans decided to buy Nelly's album instead! :cussing: "Big Willie Style" and "Willenium" sold a lot when they were released in the winters of '97 of '99, but they could've sold less if they were released the same time as "Men In Black" and "Wild Wild West" were. Think about it y'all if "Born to Reign" was released in the winter of '02 it would've been better for Big Will since he was done wit "MIB2" and finished shootin' "BB2" so he would've had time to shoot more videos but what was the point to do so then when the album had no more sales comin' in, the sales were dead when "1000 Kisses" came out, I was surprised that another single was even released, he needed a stronger song like "How The Beat Goes" or "Give Me Tonite" to revive sales in the album and "Block Party" could've been released last summer and the album would've gone multiplatinum.

That's why a lot of music artists go broke, the record company executives, whose names we never hear of have more dough than the artists believe it or not. The only why Big Will has so much cake is 'cause he does movies and he gets paid a hell lot more than he does as an MC, why do you think so many music artists are trying to act these days. Ultimately though, it's not fair to those who go to acting school for many years and they get snubbed by a platinum rapper who never studied acting before until now. If you wanna be in the music buisiness, you'll be more successful as an executive than you would as an artist, even though not many people would know your name, you won't have to worry about going broke.
-
If Will's doing so much recording music he should release a mixtape of a few of them tracks like 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Nas, and other rappers do to keep his name out in the street.
LL COOL J AINT 36. Do the math he came out in 85 when he was 16. Just alittle bursting of the bubble there
Hey man LL Cool J was born on January 14, 1968 so YOU do the math here, I know what I'm talking about! :nana:

There's hope for Big Will still 'cause Kanye West is popular for the positive song "Jesus Walks"(I wouldn't imagine it getting played on TRL 'cause most rap videos played on there are ignorant booty shaking ones). You're right Jim, LL's keepin' his name out there and it could be the best that he's not as successful as Will in acting 'cause people pay attention more to his music not his movies. Being a worldwide famous actor for Will could be the gift and the curse(his movies doing very well, but most sell-out fans think that Will's just an actor trying to rap, not knowing that Will's been rapping since he was 12). I actually hope that one of Big Will's movies flop so that he could put more energy back into his music again, by going on tour and taking a break from actin'. P.S.-LL Cool J's 36 not 34 right now

TRL's corny! I rather see Will on 106& Park! TRL is straight bull****, they don't even play a minute of any of the music videos! :blah:
