  1. the state of hip hop is dismal right now, it seems like since the internet got big that quality albums don't get appreciated anymore, it's been a long time since a classic album went platinum, that's how I could understand kel's frustration but at the same time as it was mentioned on here when you're a true artist you don't worry what everyone thinks and you do it for the love of the game so hopefully the love will keep kel going, even if he just continues to drop mixtapes it's still worth something quality wise, to me that "salon stories" mixtape holds more substance than most hip hop albums in the last 5 years
  2. NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, REAL HIP HOP, KS KILLIN IT
  3. HAPPY 2014 JJFP.com FAM, LET'S BRING THE REAL HIP HOP BACK
  4. I feel what kel is saying but I don't want him to give up like that, I know I'm not giving up on my dream to make it myself
  5. Merry Christmas to my JJFP.com family and a happy 2014 with hope that we'll have some new dope hip hop to talk about
  6. Rest In Peace to one of the world's greatest leaders, his memory won't be forgotten
  7. Keith Sweat "Wonderful Thang"(2002) Rebirth
  8. Shaq has some skills on the mic! I always think that he's underrated as an emcee I'm listening to some smooth jazz on Sirius XM Watercolors station: Vincent Ingala "If I Could Fly"
  9. yeah everybody remembers krs for doing self destruction but this one is brilliant too, I also like the self construction song of 2008, krs is great at getting emcees together for a cause JJFP "Twinkle Twinkle"(I'm Not A Star)
  10. one of my favorite moments from her show was when she had the child prodigies featured on there, including a 12 year old who's in college and two 10 year old dancers
  11. I tried posting the video there but I couldn't get the link to work so ignore the above post, I also liked the ll cool j interview btw as well, and the nicki minaj interview from about a month ago was better than I thought too even though I ain't into miaj's music
  12. Queen Latifah In Seaside Heights, where I lived for 18 years haha: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqBxTmEFfKk&hd=1
  13. there's mixed feelings here, any site of will on the mic is a good thing to me but like everyone else I want something new
  14. good stuff there, the queen latifah show is definately doing big things
  15. i think the album's good but em's definately overrated, it's not like he's the only artist out there putting out good music
  16. this reminds me of when the fake lyrics of "mr. nice guy" leaked online, it's funny how far some haters go
  17. will's had a lot of success in his music career, the real artists respect him, and i believe that he could still do well if he did release albums since 2005 but you got a point there, it can't be one person that'd save the state of rap but if he was still releasing music at least it'd be a start
  18. the season is starting tonight, good luck to all!
  19. yeah this is nice, thanks for posting tim, casual is a dope mc!
  20. yeah i really really hope that this track gets out there
  21. i got a lot of proven hall of famers in my draft, i'm looking forward to trading kobe bryant for derrick rose, they're both coming off injuries and should have good years but i would rather have derrick rose since he's a chicago bull, i got kirk hinrich and mike dunleavy as my other bull players
  22. Jeff should put out a autobiography of his life and career, he always has great insight
  23. i shared this interview on facebook but i've been busy lately so i didn't get a chance to watch the whole interview until this morning while having some coffee, it's interesting that he answered my question and said that he'd be a cook if he weren't a dj, that was some incredible stuff i learned through this interview, i enjoyed every minute of it!
