  1. i find it very sad that will would cave into the criticism of his haters that say he's a better actor than an emcee and give up on a legendary hip hop career that very few emcees have been on with over 30 million records sold, the numerous awards and accolades including the first ever hip hop grammy, Will and Jeff should be in the Rock and Roll hall of fame for what they've done being music pioneers, they've inspired me so much, like everyone here i don't wanna see fresh prince give up
  2. i watched the tlc movie "crazysexycool" movie last night on vh1, it's well done in covering their career
  3. Will has enough hits already where he could do 2 hour shows on a tour with Jeff easily, yeah at this point I think a tour would actually be better than an album as well since he's such a great performer and performance has been a lost art
  4. We usually do the Yahoo or ESPN league, I could start up a league but we gotta figure out how many people are gonna do it
  5. It's only about a week until the NBA season so are we gonna do a fantasy league again? I'll be down to do one if y'all are interested
  6. There's still some quality hip hop out there, you got the veterans like LL Cool J, Public Enemy and KRS-ONE still out there, and some younger mcs like J. Cole, Wale, and Kendrick Lamar are doing their thing too, now I'm working on some things myself, I think there's some talent on this board like Da Brakes, Hero, and FUQ that could drop something as well to bring the realness back that could drive the veterans like JJFP to continue on, I'm still remaining positive that Will's gonna drop something new, I still come to this board almost everyday hoping to catch the news of something, as long as the Fresh Prince's alive hip hop ain't dead
  7. well i like that he name checked some of the hip hop legends like nwa, pe, and run-dmc, now i'm looking forward to an album in that level, the direction he's taken in recent times makes me say i'm actually looking forward to an eminem album since y'all know i ain't one of his biggest fans
  8. when i think of the rap gods, eminem doesn't come to mind 'cause i don't think he's been consistant enough compared to the legends of the game, i do like the direction of the song and the album though, taking it back to the old school flow, now if he stays at this level then yes he could be a rap god
  9. wow i never heard that song aj, that's a jem for sure 2Pac "Me Against The World"(1995 album)
  10. heavy d "more bounce", after browsing this page i decided to give this classic another listen, the loss of him to hip hop is definately being felt right now
  11. You mean his weekly breads? I received one tonight, that's what made me think about sending him a message about music, it wasn't that long ago that he mentioned new music but it's just that the hip hop game's so depressing that it's hard to have patience but I know he'll drop a classic sooner or later
  12. I messaged Kel on facebook tonight and asked him if he's gonna release any music soon, he hasn't done anything for quite awhile, it'd be really sad if he decides to give up emceeing, hip hop needs a breath of fresh air, if all those people who buy this mainstream crap heard something from KS they'd be blown away, now is the perfect time to release something
  13. Interesting interview, btw I know Game shouted out Will on his hit single "Game's Pain" back in 2008, Nas shouted out JJFP on "Can't Forget About You" single from 2007
  14. Good questions so far y'all, a lot of those I'd like to know from Jeff too, I think I'd also ask him if he wasn't a DJ/producer what would he be doing as a profession?
  15. I've been listening to a lot of "illmatic" lately, been in that mid-90s mood, listening to LL's "Mr. Smith" like I mentioned, probably gonna listen to JJFP's "Code Red" and Queen Latifah "Black Reign" after watching the Queen Latifah show today haha At the moment though I'm listening to Jay-Z' "Black Album"
  16. I'm happy that Queen Latifah got another show on TV, it's only fitting to have FP as one of her guests
  17. that eddie murphy song's better than i thought it'd be gerald levert & teena marie " a rose by any other name"
  18. those are some inciteful tips there, i'm gonna try to use some of them
  19. I remember I was in 8th grade when this album dropped, good times for sure, I wish I had a time machine to go back to those days, it's only fitting that Nas pays homage to such a great album like this, they should both get together and do another song since "If I Ruled The World" was so brilliant in '96
