  1. Game to diss 50 Cent back: Well, I wish this wouldn't happen, because the beef with 50 Cent and Game is so ancient. Nevertheless, 50 dissed game on that new song and now he's got a reply on the way. @50cent I'm on tour doin shows but soon as @avanterose find a studio for me I'm killin yo "Planet Of The Apes" face havin ass n***a #MEunit Can't Lil Wayne jump in to make it a lil' more interesting?
  2. 50's returning to form again, it'd be quite entertaining like the 50 and Ja Rule battle was if they all come out with something against each other:
  3. G-Unit leader 50 Cent appears to be back in competition mode as a new track called "Love, Hate, Love" takes aim at rappers Lil Wayne and former Unit member Game. While Fif declined to name drop either artist, direct references to Weezy and Game are made. The track starts off slow with a stirring soul vocal sample serving as the backdrop. When the track gets going, 50 sounds sinister after he lyrically launches a salvo in the direction of Young Money captain Lil Wayne. "Acting like a white boy bored, now you wanna jump a flight of stairs on a skateboard/Ni---, why the f--- ya pants so tight?/You trying to show ni---- your ass, your alternative life" - Ouch, 50! But Wayne wasn't the only rapper to catch a stray from Mr. Jackson as former ally Gamecatches some pretty tough shots too. "I touched more p---- than maxipads/Now Detox can be your little rap rehab/Bi---, just a second visit from the repo man/And you can't afford your monthlys, I mean God D---." (RapFix) A few weeks ago, Weezy injured himself after taking a fall off of his skateboard, resulting in a rushed visit to the hospital. Lil Wayne needed 9 stitches to close a bloody wound over his left eye last night ... after crashing HARD at a skateboard park in St. Louis. Weezy was treated at a local hospital -- and one witness told a local TV station the rapper was accompanied by several members of his entourage. According to the hospital, Wayne was treated and released. (TMZ) Back in April, Game lost one of his luxury vehicles after it was repossessed due to financial complications. The Game was surrounded by a bunch of BAD*SS cars inHollywood yesterday ... but not one of the rides was his tricked out Corvette ... because that whip was repossessed a few days ago ... TMZ has learned. Game tells TMZ he leased the Corvette roughly three years ago ... but he was on tour when the lease expired and was unable to return it. But a few days ago, after Game returned home, repo men came to the house and took the car away. Sources connected to the situation tell us Game was home at the time and was "cooperative" during the hand-off. Game doesn't seem too bothered by the situation ... telling us, "I got SO many whips!" (TMZ) While 50 has gone after Wayne in the past, a few months ago he discussed his issues with Game. "Let me explain something to you: If it was up to me there would be G-Unit South. Young Buck would be running that. I told him to run with that. When I did that, it was for him to present himself as a bigger artist to the Southern community. Game -- I wish nothing but the best for Game. As far as Black Wall Street is concerned, he did that prematurely. Then he turned around and told me to kiss his a**. If you can interpret that as me trying to keep them under my wing, that's just a f*cked-up interpretation." (VIBE)
  4. well the internet is bigger now than anytime in will's career, it seems like will doesn't like to spend too much time online but he's gonna have do some more internet promotion on his next music project for it to be a success
  5. i'm listening to wbls' marley marl mix again, he's playing a lot of '70s/80s funk/disco songs
  6. well with will working on a new music again maybe he could leak a mixtape on the internet with unreleased songs like this one to give the heads a teaser just like Nas did when he released "the lost tapes" before his "god's son" album
  7. game "brake lights" mixtape, probably one of the best mixtapes ever made: http://www.livemixtapes.com/mixtapes/12091/game_brake_lights.html
  8. when listening to jazzy's "he's the king, i'm the dj" mixtape i was thinking to myself why didn't he leak the mj/fp track on there
  9. drake's too much like lil' wayne to me, occasionally he could bring something like he did on game's "good girls go bad" but he's mostly mediocre pop rap, that's all i gotta say 'cause i don't want to turn this thread into a bash wack rappers one, lol, anyways about the future of hip hop there's definately some hope out there 'cause after all the "ode to illmatic" mixtape by fashawn plays out like an album that's possibly the best mixtape i ever heard by anybody
  10. a lot of hip hop artists from the 80s go around touring with their classic material here in 2011 and make a good living off of that without even putting out much new material 'cause there's an audience out there that just can't get enough of that timeless feeling, i can't picture a lot of the current artists out now doing that in 2030 since a lot of their music is like mcdonalds... i believe kel got more value as a true hip hop artist than your average platinum rapper cause he ain't selling his soul, the material he put out on his mixtapes is better than a lot of albums out there on the market and he's worked with a lot of big names in hip hop history like JJFP, Grandmaster Flash, Q-Tip, Teddy Riley, MC Lyte, and Lil' Kim, true heads already know what's up, sure he needs to keep the ball moving with another project and since he's a true head I'm sure he'll keep going since true artists never stop...
  11. there was a couple albums released this year by hip hop legends that nobody really mentions but both talib and snoop ripped some ish: -talib kweli "i'm on one" -snoop feat. r. kelly and busta "platinum"(remix)
  12. "Friday Night Lights" has a lot of themes to it like a movie, he really knows how to craft lyrics together
  13. Fat Joe Feat MOP "Fight Club", "J.O.S.E." is a classic album
  14. yeah kel's the man regardless of what happens from this point on, like will said "why should i try to sound like y'all sound?/that's what's wrong with the rap game right now", regardless of what happens kel got respect from those who know him and that's what's most important, it don't matter you got 2 or 2 million fans as long as you remain true to yourself
  15. yeah you don't want to censor the way somebody wants to express themselves, just like Nas should been able to release his album the way that he wanted to a few years ago, and yes Fat Joe and Big Pun are puerto ricans but they're down with the hip hop culture and the only people that have problems with them saying the n word on record are those who don't like their music...
  16. I notice how a lot of people including many on this board spend a lot of time discussing all the ways about how hip hop is dead but don't spend much time to realise that there's a lot of talent out there that's breathing life into the game, I'm not that way though, I like to support these real mcs, if more do that then we'll see hip hop be at the level where it's supposed to be
  17. And for the record I don't think any rapper has a problem with Fat Joe saying the n word either, let's just move on, it's like some people think Will's average too, not everybody's gonna like the same artists no matter how much we try to convince them, let people listen to what they want and listen to what you want, I'm done with this thread, peace
  18. Well Eminem's says and does a lot of crap himself too so if he said the n word it wouldn't be a surprise, after all he did kill his mom and wife on record before, it'd probably be that type of reaction
  19. Heavy D got an album out? Thanks homie, that just made my day! Will "Chasing Forever"
  20. You know I wanted to say more in that last post but I was tired so after some sleep I'm gonna say this, I remember when I was in high school I'd get dissed too for being too "old school" rather than going with what was "hot" at the time, really it was 'cause I always have something to say in my raps which is why I relate to the legends more than the rappers that have major airplay that brag too much about how hard they are when that's all a front like Ice-T said, I think an Ice-T/Rick Ross battle would get a lot of the same reaction that the KRS/Nelly battle got, it helped introduce kids to KRS and it humbled Nelly, some kids will see the greatness of Ice-T here as well, that's the positive thing about battles like that... My goal is to keep the history of hip hop alive so when people hear me rhyme I want them to remember the pioneers of the game, it's like Nas' "Bridging The Gap", when people ask me who inspired me to rap I tell them about mcs like KRS, Chuck D, Rakim, and of course Fresh Prince who they usually just think of as an actor...
