  1. lil' wayne and rick ross always been wack but one thing you could say about jay-z is that he used to be a great mc
  2. well when has lil' wayne brought the fire? i don't mean to sound like a hater but he's never been on the level of the greats
  3. in fact i was just thinking we should start an online petition to get him to put out this mixtape
  4. will should release a lost tapes mixtape on the internet right now with his unreleased tracks while there's all this buzz, it'll hold the heads over until mib3 comes out
  5. yeah i say that though since it's a weak album, i find it hard to believe that in 2011 so many people would waste their money on such trash when they could listen to it on the internet for free, the problem is that it seems like a lot of these so called real hip hop heads seem to be the ones who don't support the quality artists when they put out something, no matter how much i listen to online i still buy cds
  6. game's album been on heavy rotation for me, he's doing his thing right now, i'm looking forward to seeing if he did anything with will
  7. yeah back in the days if somebody was doing something fake they'd get dissed and it'd force them to make better music but these days they get away with it and that's why there's so much trash out there, more mcs need to speak up like this, I agree with you AJ that real mcs shouldn't sugar coat how they really feel, even FP gave 50 Cent props when we all know that 50's been one of the lost mcs... Jay-Z was one of the real mcs in the mid-90s but that's a long time ago since these days he puts out mainstream trash with Kanye, Ice-T's always stayed true to the game, he did a better job making "99 Problems" than Jay-Z did:
  8. in the video posted: http://allhiphop.com/stories/rumors/archive/2011/09/14/22880984.aspx
  9. It's about time a real mc speaks out against these weak rappers! Ice-T is one rapper than has never minced his words. But now, he tells VH1 that...most of these dudes are frauds. Here is an excerpt. “That’s fake,” Ice-T blurts out. “Rick Ross stole a n****’s name. I call him ‘Identity Crisis.’ He thinks he’s [Freeway] Rick Ross, he thinks he’s Larry Hoover, he thinks he’s Big Meech, he thinks he’s MC Hammer, he thinks he’s Tupac. Like, who the f*ck are you really, dude?” “When we rapped about dope— me, Snoop and everybody—it was like we doin’ it because we GOT to. Now these n***** is actin’ like it’s somethin’ that’s FUN. It’s so easy to fantasize about it. To actively do it? That’s a whole ‘nother f*ckin’ thing. “Rap is pop right now. Q-Tip said, ‘Rap is not pop. If you call it that, then stop.’ Rap was a counterculture that went against pop. But when you have Rihanna singin’ on your records and you’re doin’ records with Katy Perry, that’s no longer rap. It’s pop music, pop using rap delivery. When you hear Lil Wayne sayin’ ‘I got a chopper in the car,’ you go, ‘Yeah, right you do.‘
  10. I used to go on allhiphop.com all the time to check out the new tracks but now I go to livemixtapes.com, they got like 1 million tracks there to get for free, a lot of fire out there
  11. Fabolous' new mixtape is fire too, he's been out for over 10 years and he never seems to get the credit he deserves, he's one of the great mcs out there these days...
  12. I like a lot of those mcs you mentioned there, Fred The Godson's another one doing his thing, he spit some fire on the remix of Frank Ocean's "Novacane" and on the "Love That" track KRS-ONE's new album with Showbiz
  13. It seems like yesterday that I went to Kmart to buy "Idlewild", it's hard to believe that it's been 8 years ago that I was working at that Kmart and I bought "Speakerboxx/Love Below" on my lunch break, life is going by....
  14. you could say that def jam probably bought some copies of that album too, i thought back in 2005 that interscope probably bought 50's "the massacre", will's "lost and found" would of sold 10 million if interscope promoted that one the way they promoted 50
  15. that jay-z/kanye album took almost 2 months to go platinum which is kinda low for them considering how much anticipation there was supposed to be for it, this album is considered average like i mentioned too, it'd been a great idea for them to do an album together around 2004/2005 but it doesn't work these days
  16. i'm actually thinking the same thing since his album sales have fallen off quite a bit after the big first week, the final sales will probably be around 2 million at the most, a lot of people saying that lil' wayne put out a weak album, which comes to my point of how back in the days you needed to put out something of quality to sell, "big willie style" only sold 50,000 in the first week but it sold 10 million altogether and a lot of other classic albums from that time didn't sell much at first week either, the only good album that sold one million copies the first week was eminem's "marshall mathers lp", most of those albums that sell a lot the first week are overhyped
  17. gettin jiggy wit it remix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNfBa6Rm3MQ
  18. fred the godson "god's son" mixtape, he's another fire up and coming mc: http://www.livemixtapes.com/mixtapes/14385/fred_the_godson_gods_son.html
  19. naughty by nature garden state greats mixtape http://www.livemixtapes.com/player.php?album_id=12407
  20. platinum old school jams mixtape http://www.livemixtapes.com/player.php?album_id=3104
  21. game "born in the trap", this sounds like a '90s east coast track http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uq-QWTpR-3E
  22. DMX & Busta should do an album together, they killed this "Otis" track:
