Yeah thats what I thought. Or maybe the track with Eminem that they'll make.
-
By the way, I heard this is gonna be the single. Thats pretty stupid tho, considering how he wants the album to be. He wants to get this whole king of the streets acclaim back with reliesing the track with trey songz? thats not as good represemter for the album. he should put out a ruffer one, so people know whats up. if the hear this they'll think its gonna be another todd smith without even checking it out.

Skillz Addresses Lil' Wayne's Rant On Mixtape Deejays
Turntable replied to bigted's topic in Caught in the Middle
Wow man, that's a dick thing to do. Not only did I not disagree with you in this thread, I was actually disagreeing with the same person as you. As to our other discussion in a separate thread, I haven't ducked any of your "arguments". I did, however, go to work, study, and take care of my son between your last post and now. You'll have to pardon how I prioritize my time. lol what? I wanst talking about you. i was talking about aj ducking, and you bringin arguments. and aj, just stop talking before thinking one time. the only so called commercial rappers own cds of are nelly and ja rule and kanye. together with the other 150 artists thats not really much isnt it. -
I heard it a few days ago. Its cool.

you doing it again. as allways when someone hist u with arguments you cant run from, like schnaz now, you duck. -
If you wanna use my quote, do it right please. I said 50's old days. I heard 50 Rap before he had halve of his tungue shot of, ofcourse without mumbling. But anyway. These days, Hammer skills are under the average considering to allot of good Mc's today. Back in the day it wansnt that bad maybe, still there where allot of Mc's that had much more skillz and a much better delivery. Mc's who even today can be put above todays good Mc's. That means he cant be that goood of an Mc. Great shows, great clips, great dancing, smooth voice.. Whatever. But not that much of what you can consider skillz, and thats what makes or breaks a Rapper (If not would mean Puffy is a legendary MC). Its as easy as that.

I don't disagree that Hammer isn't good these days. I don't listen to anything new by him, so I don't really know, but it wouldn't surprise me if he's not that skilled any more. But "I dont think that you can judge an Mc on how he was back in the day, not if he's still releasing records" is just silly. By that logic I shouldn't listen to The Beatles because of Wings. But Beatles' records still hold up as melodically complex and lyrically on point... and were often greater than what the Wings made... An old skool artist can be at par with contemporaries...Big daddy Kane and Rakim could def hold their own against Nas and Jay-Z...The Message could lyrically hold up with almost any rap song released today...but Hammer and other novelty acts were never skilled enough to be compared to anyone making records worth remembering...his dance moves might have caused a revolution in video but I could care less... My point exactly. And Schnazz, ofcourse somebody can enjoy old Hammer records even tho there is Rakim (or Nas for the new generation) and even tho he is wack today. But that does not make him better then them, or good for that mather.

No, I do appreciate it I own about 50 Albums from during that time). And I appreciate Hammer for what Hammer did when it comes to the whole show stufff/ But what you saying aint right. There where allot of Mc's in his time that where better Mc's. I'm not talking about what came after him. Next to that, I dont think that you can judge an Mc on how he was back in the day, not if he's still releasing records. To stay a good Mc till today you have to grow, like Will did, like LL did and so on. If Hammer would be a newcomer these days, errbody would say he is bad, because he didnt get "better" in anyway (I heard his new stuff). And thats my whole point. These days he just isnt a good Rapper anymore.

Well considering I stopped the cursing I hardly can be in dangger for showing a oppinion. So far for that. But hey, if you wanna ban me, ban me. I got a girlfriend and stuff, I guess I'd survive. As far as the rest goes: Moral lacking in a evangelic kind of way, maybe. I'm sorry that I do belieeve in Darvin. But I believe Schnaz made it quit clear. And as far as you getting back on Kid N Play and them..Just caus they are remembered doesnt mean anything positive, like Ash pointed out. And saying that the commercial Rappers I do like are forgotten in five years is ridculous, caus most of them allready have a career for longer than 10 years, whichs is highly above Kid N Play and Marky Mark. For god's sake, Marky Mark? The onbly reason he got a record deal is caus his brother was a new kid on the block, how can that be Hip Hop? Never knew tommy hilfiger commercials are a way of spreading the message to the young trubled youth. Man even Mark Wahlberg himself knows that it was wack. And you can claim that I dont know nothing about Hip Hop is much as you want, while you are patiently waiting for the unrelsead tracks Marky did with his brother on the hook. Man if you so Hip Hop I wonder why you hardly ever react to the threads about new good Hip Hop. Most of the time you are just complaining about how Lil Wayne destroys Hip Hop, while there gets a good record released by someone every week. -
Check this out: Dope video (full with DJ's, Graffiti's, Breakdancers - straight Hip Hop), killing raw oldschool Beat and great lyrics (which you wount understand but yeah, the beat and the video should do it). I'm sorry that the few commercial Rappers I listen too had a more lasting career than Marky Mark and Kid N Play. -
Ya'll need to stop with that MC Hammer ish. For real, ya'll need to read his lyrics.. Its really not good in any way at all (Which is amazing caus half of it he actulay payed for). 50 could outrap him if he'd get back to his old days (not saying he was good, but atleast he was lirlcly better than Hammer). Speaking as someone who actually lived through that time period, you have no idea. Hammer was HUGE. The fame and success he received from his second and third albums, at the time, was insane. To put this in context, this is the same time that De La Soul came out, JJFP won for Parents, Slick Rick put out The Great Adventures, and NWA was breaking up. To try and look at his lyrics in the context of modern rap is silly, and actually beside the point. Hammer was a performer and a hell of a performer at that. His dancing was phenomenal, his delivery was smooth, his energy was insane, and his persona had mothers wanting to adopt him. Now, I find it hilarious and enjoy mocking him routinely for going broke. I think entertainers are massively over paid and I have no heart ache for them going broke, but to say he wasn't something important to rap is to not fully understand how hot he was and what made him that hot. Thats my point. lol. I get what you say, and I understand how huge he was, and how good of an entertainer he was and so on. So was George Michael, that does not mean he is a skilled Rapper. All the others you are talking about (Besides maybe Dre in NWA) are. Thats my whole point. Maybe he did shows like Michael Jackson, I dont care, PUffy does too. That does not make him a skilled MC, maybe a good entertainer, but not a good Mc.
