Fat Joe To Release First Mixtape Of Career
Turntable replied to bigted's topic in Caught in the Middle
He is back to putting out good music since his last album. All or Nothing is a dope album too, I used to listen to it a lot. Fat Joe has his flaws, but he seems like a nice dude, he never lost toiuch with his homebase completely, even on his most commercial album he had one Premo Beat.. He always reps D.I.T.C.. He always supports young street Rappers.. And he brought us two classics (J.O.E. and Don Cartagena) and he brought us Big Pun and thank him for that -
His album is great, it is avantgarde, it is a modern classic. If you look at the combination between flawless production blending so many diffrent styles, amazing artist placement and incredible videos - it just rocks hard. Look at Kanyes performance he did last year at SNL and tell me again he isn't one hell of an artist. Look at the Run Away Video. Kanye is the man.

Ice-T Disses Rick Ross, Lil' Wayne, and Jay-Z!
Turntable replied to bigted's topic in Caught in the Middle
We have to put something straight here: There is no such thing as a real Def Jam CEO, there hasnt been for a long time. Def Jam is a slave to Universal, they control and decide every little thing. Whne they put someone like Jay-Z up as CEO, that is just a promotional move. I doubt he had any reayl input at all. If anything, we should give him credit for getting them to signing The Roots, because I doubt Universal saw a lot of potential there. If you wanna judge Jay-Z's capabilitys on putting out Artists, look at Roc Nation. He also has a Management Company that does the management for a lot of artists, inlcuding Rihanna (who we know does allright) and Wale, who just his second major deal, as far as I can remember. -
He has a lot of industry fans, not just Pop Fans. Actualy quite a few people appreciate him because of the same reasons they like Rakim or Big L , because he does have a lot of creative punchlines (ATTENTION: I am not comparing him with them, I am just poiting out THAT A LOT OF INDUSTRY PEOPLE WHO KNOW HIP HOP WELL like him). That doesn't help his songs tho - almost all of them suck. Still the only song I realy like by him is La La La.. Real lyrics, dope Beat, nice Sample Chorus. But you know I dont care realy, if people like his music they should buy it. If you dont like it, buy something else. You cant control what is popular, nobody can, also not the radio of MTV, cause nobody gives a ish about Radio or MTV anymore - and last time I checked it is as easy to listen to a PE song on Youtube as it is listening to a Lil wayne song. Let people liosten to what they want and let homies get paid.

Great job man, especialy on the Nicki Track, she ripped that beat ("praying but I think I’m still an angel away /angel away, yeah strange in a way/ maybe that is why I still chase strangers away"). I would love to hear you rap a little slower sometimes. Maybe pick a Dipset Beat or something. Or something like Drive Slow by Kanye.

A lot of people like him, also a lot of critics.. He has had his moments when it comes to wordplay and ish.. But I dont like his sound at all, his voice and everything

Turntable replied to bigted's topic in Caught in the Middle
The only good think about Rick Ross is that he brought us the Justice League... They make smooth Beats. And he is pushing Wale. I dont think Jigga made up his past tho. Now Wayne must have, because he was signed at what age? 12? -
So is Mellie Mell.

where is he dissing jay z? -
I dont think that is true.. Birdman is a smart business man, other wise he wouldn't have survived in this shady business, he is not gonna spent his hard earned millions on his own stuff.

Game Brings "Chaos" With Final Interscope Album
Turntable replied to bigted's topic in Caught in the Middle
They did not yet drop. Bow Wow will release his album nex month I believe. Come on man, Cash Money has been selling a lor of records for a long time now, and recently released three, four albums that sold a lot, even tho they sounded very diffrent - so it is not like rthey are sticking to one formula ether -

Cash Money, despite they have some terrible artists on there, is a good record label. You cant front on the fact that they seem to know how to move a lot of units from artists with diffrent styles.
