  1. Yep! I didn't know he could still do it like that but Nas really brought it this time....Can't Forget About You...Black Republican....Hold Down The Block....Hip Hop is dead....and so many more classic moments...
  2. wow! Skillz really came off disrespectfull towards Will on there....makes me wonder how Will still wants him to write for him....and how come there is so no major beef between them...and how come Jeff and Skillz are so cool. :paperbag: Skillz didnt say anythin bad abt Will..he just says Will's A&R is on the phone askin Skillz to write to this beat.. no beef Oh...maybe I misinterpreted what he was saying....I thought he said something like "will be on my ass" (no homo lol). But I guess I misheard due to the fact that it's a live version and the clarity is hazy...
  3. I just got this album a couple of days ago...Excellent album, although it's not really my cup of tea at times...loved it anyway. Thanks for the recommendation guys!
  4. :lolsign: at AJ! Redman - Muddy Waters (intro)
  5. Wow! This was amazing! This would make an excellent video game along the lines of NBA street.... :wickedwisdom:

  7. Nice one! It was a really entertaining read!
  8. Hip Hop doesn't neccesirily require smooth voice...but as FuQ said if you can pull off an unconventional voice/accent with confidence the listener will still enjoy it. In my opinion perfect voices in hip hop are Guru from Gangstarr (the smoothest of all time!),Rakim during the 18th Letter and later on, Will ever since Homebas and Nas.
  9. Yeah the "light" that Cozmo D just had...hit me a couple of years ago while digging through Rakim's early stuff...If you hear "Move the Crowd" it will most definitely remind you of the flow in summertime. But maybe that's because Will adopted a more chill approach on that song...and somehow found the similarity to Rakim's flow incidentally.
  10. I like dimness! As Rick James would put it "Darkness Is Spreading!" or should I say dimness.
  11. Will Smith and LL Cool J...the boards been wanting a track from them for a while. LL and Nas. Rakim and Mos Def Black Thought and Robin Thicke Lupe Fiasco and Talib Kweli Mos Def and Jeff Will and DJ Premier
  12. I've always had a soft spot for Eminem...He was the first hip hop artist I really got into. As others have pointed out Eminem now and Eminem than are on completely different levels. The rhyme schemes where complex...the lines were funny...intelligent and entertaining.I have most of Slim Shady LP and a few tracks from the Marshall Mathers LP and Eminem Show memorized ...so I still consider his old music as all time favorites. I think Eminem's career Encore onwards did not do justice to his early material...although if u listen thru the whole album there are a couple of tracks that are actually ok....but u have to be a fan of his early material to listen to it. As AJ said Em is surrounding himself with some of the wackest artists in the industry....I don't know if it's due to that or Proof's death that his music suddenly became simplistic, fake and annoying. I don't know how much attention to pay towards what Em said to Cozmo D....but Proof couldn't have been responsible for everything dope Em did in his career. Ludacris is not bad...quite an ok rapper...i just love the way how he's getting on the whole mature, positive tip. So in conclusion Ludacris is somewhere inbetween top 75-100. Old Em was top 50 (top 10 in my favourites list but I'm talking skillz wise)....New Em is not really worthy of rating.
  13. Robin Thicke and Faith Evans - Got To Be Down I think I'm falling in love this song...
  14. Dude...why? :paperbag: It isn't really clever, well thought out or even true for that matter....
  15. Robin Thicke feat Faith Evans - Got To Be Down
  16. I heard b-boy's theme like a month ago....quite dope!
  17. A variety of Hip-Hop legends and athletes will gather in New York this weekend to celebrate the 25th year anniversary of Nike's Air Force 1 sneaker. Nike will host an invite-only celebration this Sunday (Dec. 10) in New York. During the celebration, rappers Kanye West, Nas, Rakim and KRS-One will unveil and perform a new, Rick Rubin-produced original song, dedicated to the sneaker. Rubin is well known for his wide range of hit productions, which include another sneaker anthem, Run-DMC's 1986 smash single, "My Adidas." Guests expected to attend include Dave Chappelle, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Rihanna, Queen Latifah, Spike Lee, Moses Malone, Usher, Snoop Dogg, LL Cool J and others. The Air Force 1 sneaker has become a staple of fashion in the Hip-Hop community and has been the topic of several songs, including Nelly's No. 1 hit, "Air Force One's." The sneaker was created in 1982 and has remained one of Nike's top selling shoes for over two decades. ----------------------------- So this is some where between "My Adidas" and the One Blood remix (just with more talented artists)! Can't wait!
  18. Joe Budden and Jay-Z - Pump It Up (remix)
