I consider Jay-Z lyrical...not really for his subject matter but for his rhyme schemes,metaphor and storytelling...and the occasional dope concept. I agree that Snoop isn't that lyrical...he is more about the style and flow. But on the Blue Carpet Treatment he put out quite a few lyrical joints...as far as multisyllabic rhymes are concerned...

I do not agree with his opinion...but I'll buy his album...dude is still amazing...that hip hop is dead and Black Republican tracks are just...wow!

As far as the music industry hip hop is not dead...maybe you won't see any evidence of that on the mainstream level. But think of the classics that dropped this year...P.E,DMC,Lupe,Rhymefest...like 5 Wu-Tang affiliated albums,Kenn Starr,Roots,some of the stuff on X's album, some stuff on Jay's abum,Snoop's new album is crazy...and I could honestly keep going.

I guess I'll have to blame myself...because I don't buy music unless it's an artist I love...or a classic album I downloaded and liked. By the way I really didn't feel Game's album as much as most people did...ok that nas track was the bomb but apart from that there wasn't one classic...so am I really missing out on something?

He do freestyle alot of these songs.. but yeah maybe he just has a good memory.. lol never thought about that.. You'll be suprised how many rappers just write in their head...Jay just became famous for it due to that movie "Fade To Black".Biggie,Snoop, Lupe Fiasco to name a few often just rhymed from their memory...espescially on mixtapes and stuff...I guess it is an interesting skill to have.
