  1. Lets look at the near classic material Kanye has given us - The College Dropout - Jesus walks got acceptance in mordern hip hop- giving positive artists a real chance in the industry. Some of the lyrics were slightly below average but some were classics like "All Falls Down" and "Never let you down". Common Be - In my opinion one of the greatest albums to come out in the past few years. Lets face it Common could have easily been overlooked if Kanye hadn't shown him love. John Legend Get Lifted - Some good mordern R&B which I can actually listen to and enjoy! John Legend is actually my favourite R&B acts along with R.Kelly! Lupe Fiasco - I could keep going on hot this cat is. A positive dude basking in the acceptance of Jesus Walks. Mr. Blue Collar Rhymefest - If you check my posts on the "What ur listening to" thread, I have been listening to a lot of Rhymefest lately. His stuff is so fresh and intelligent. I feel this guy way more than cats like Papoose or J.R. Writer. Not to mention his production on countless classics by Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Jay-Z and many more! I have to admit that some of the lyrics on Late Registration were really corny the worst of all is on "celebration" -"grab a drink, grab a glass- after that I grab ur ass". But there were some quality tracks on that too! So I guess props have to be given where they are due. Although my interest in his music has slightly faded I wish cats would stop disrespecting him in this board! :smart:
  2. Mary.J.Blige feat LL Cool J - All Night Long (remix)
  3. Thanks this was a great video!I guess you have neither the time nor the patience to actually put up all the footage you have. But thanks anyway!
  4. Rhymefest feat O.D.B - Build me up I think Im getting obsessed with this guy!
  5. Got abt 45 minutes in melbourne... Any chance we will get to see that?
  6. I love that quote :gettinjiggywitit: Thanks great interview!
  7. Rhymefest - Get Down Man this guy is something else!!
  8. I think this your best song yet (along with Sarah)! Balance is most definately what we need! What song is the 8 ball sample from?
  9. Yeah JJFP were breakdancing to "Diamonds are forever". :3-laugh3:
  10. Lol! I always thought that Kanye looked kinda like Carlton.
  11. Gnarls Barkey feat Joe Budden - Crazy (remix) Man Joe Buddens verse is hot!
  12. My phone is mp3 too. My ringtone is So fresh (the Kontempt remix). The intro always makes people jump outtta their seats:) lol.
  13. So what is Ready Rock is a rapper now?
  14. Thanks this was really interesting!
  15. DMC- Machine Gun Next up- Tupac- Black Cotton (I think this one of the very few times a wack rapper #2 beat worked for Pac)
  16. The first time I heard Lupe was on Fort Minors "We Major" mixtape on a track called "Be Somebody". And he killed Mike Shinodas verses(which were pretty good anyway) with a couple of bars. I just know he's gonna be one of those true school artists whose material will forever remain classic such as Common, Talib, KRS etc.
  17. One of my favourite compilation albums is the 8 mile soundtrack (nt the one with the Aftermath artists but the one with the music from the movie). It has classics from the year '95 by Pac,Biggie,Wu-Tang, Naughty by nature, Pharacyde,Outkast and apart from 1 track with lil Kim I could listen to that CD back to back.
  18. Busta Rhymes feat Talib Kweli, Jean Grae, Joe Budden and KRS-1 - New York **** (remix)
