TopDawg14
3.15.07 - Even though we were told there would be no more Biggie albums, Bad Boy decided to release a greatest hits album anyway. Buoyed by the 10th anniversary of Biggie's death, his Greatest Hits album reached the #1 spot. Rank/Artist/Album/TWSales/%Change/LWSales/Total Sales 1 NOTORIOUS B.I.G. JumpinJack AJ
Even tho' i've never been a big B.I.G. fan, i picked the album up. I think the newer trax were pretty unnecessary. They could have at least not doctored the trax. It would have made more sense 2 cut the new joints and the "Duets" joints (other than "Nasty Girl" and put on the overlooked songs (that i actually really liked) like Sky's The Limit, Mo' Money Mo Problems, and Victory. DevilsJim89
I guess Diddy is trying to make more money off B.I.G material because his album didnt sell too well either ha..
TopDawg14
I guess Diddy is trying to make more money off B.I.G material because his album didnt sell too well either ha.. Yep, he's going to milk Biggie's legacy for all its worth. He has to because he has no one else on his roster, including himself, that can sell records or generate real buzz. On another note, how sad is it that they have to keep putting out Biggie & 2Pac albums? Bad Boy & 'Pac's label are destroying the legacies of these 2 great emcees. JumpinJack AJ
Could be. Bad Boy isn't what it used 2 be, not that i ever thought they were the most talented label back in the day either. But u had Craig Mack, B.I.G., Total, 112, Mase, The Lox, Faith, Carl Thomas. I thought Craig Mack, Faith, Carl Thomas, and Total were really good (tho' Total didn't actually have the strongest voices). Since then, the talent has disappeared. I thought Dream was pretty good but they didn't stand the test of time, which is probably why Danity Kane is on the label...2 fill the spot they had on lock down with the R-N-B/Pop vibe. I like Cassie, but she can't hold a candel 2 Aaliyah, Brandy, Monica, etc. Bad Boy has been washed up for years. This B.I.G. album is legit cuz even tho' he only had 2 albums, his impact is still here (whether some of us like it or not). Puffy's new album actually has some good songs when it comes 2 radio friendly stuff. TopDawg, i just saw what u put next 2 Eminem's 'Curtain Call'....ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...i have no idea. 12 year old white kids who are spending their $100 weekly allowance.
