Admin Hero1 Posted June 2, 2007 Admin Report Share Posted June 2, 2007 Kool Jazz is a fantastic album. They had some great jazz tracks aside from their big hits. Cozmo D can tell you how good those bands from the 70s were. Earth Wind & Fire are still doing their thing.
Angel Amor
Love Kool and the Gang! I have quite a few trax by them. "Get Down On It" :gettinjiggywitit:
Cozmo D
Kool & The Gang was one of the funkiest bands out until they added JT and went commercial in the '80s. Give me "Summer Madness", "Jungle Boogie", Hollywood Swingin" and "Funky Stuff", :wickedwisdom: and you can keep your "Celebrate", "Ladies Night", "Get Down On It" and their other '80s fluff.
KevTastic
It is true Coz. They were like a completely different group when the 80s hit. But they'd done their time of knocking out quality music so if they wanted to get some cash by writing catchy tunes then fair play to them. It's just that it was such a shame when they went from one of my favorite groups to makin' me change the station almost overnight. KevTastic
It happens. One of my old favourite rock bands lostprophets have commercialised their sound and now i just buy the albums for the sake of being a long time fan.
