It's in order of sales. And as it's an old list, Willennium isn't there. And in any case, Willennium didn't sell so well as BWS

Jazzy Julie
i bet Nelly, eminem and 50 cent have beaten Will now. It would be interesting to see tho who is number 1. I wont like them but still interesting.

bigted
Wow Dr.Dre's "Chronic" didn't go gold in its 1st year of release, but then went on to sell 6 million CD's, I don't think record sales are like these days, if people don't buy the album in the 1st few months then it won't sell 'cause "Born To Reign" actually sold more in its 1st year than "The Chronic". I thought "Life After Death" sold a lil' more than "Big Willie Style" but it's great to see Will #1 on one list! A list about the top 1000 list over 6 years is a lil' ridiculous though, if you wanna do a top 1000 list it should span for about 25 years! I think "Big Willie Style" would be at least ranked lower than Outkast's "Speakerboxx/Love Below" 'cause that album sold 11 million copies to date and is still in the top 200 on the Billboard Charts. Admin Hero1 Posted August 22, 2004 Author Admin Report Share Posted August 22, 2004 big willie style sold 12 million Will said recently..and will has sold over 30 million albums in his career...
DevilsJim89
I think that list is alright, I always think that "Big Willie Style" is a contender for the best rap album of all-time. but thats just me. I love that album so much. Nice to see Code Red and all that get some mad respect but Code Red was certified Gold in 1994 which is over 500,000 so those numbers are a lil off. DevilsJim89
It sold 12 million, the album was ooozing with hits, i bet the next hit woulda been "yes yes y'all" because the whole album was slamming. It was still sellin' like mad even after Willenium was dropped. It definatly fits in the same ballpark with "The Chronic", "All Eyez on Me"...etc..
