'Amulet'

Acting sibs Willow and Jaden Smith are attached to star in Warners' adaptation of Kazu Kibuishi's "Amulet." Akiva Goldsman's Weed Road shingle and Will Smith and James Lassiter's Overbrook Entertainment will produce.

Graphic novel centers on a brother and sister who move into their late great-grandfather's home after their father dies. They must use his amulet to rescue their widowed mother from a beast who lures her into an underground world.

Five books are planned in the Scholastic series, with the second installment skedded for release this year.

Seven-year-old Willow next appears in "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl Mystery," due from Picturehouse in June, and previously appeared with her father in "I Am Legend."

Nine-year-old Jaden appeared with his dad in "The Pursuit of Happyness" and next appears in Fox's remake of "The Day the Earth Stood Still." He's also attached to "Newton's Law," another Overbrook project set up at Columbia.

Weed Road and Overbrook have collaborated on several earlier projects, including "I Am Legend" and the upcoming "Hancock."

maybe they're rethinking Karate Kid, lol. Incidentally the Smith kids just made #14 on BET's Generation Now: Top 25 Under 25

DON'T WORRY , THIS IS IN SPANISH yes lol, BUT IT'S THE SAME THING THAT'S BEEN POSTED BEFORE!!! But here it says that Will may have a role in the movie...don't know if it's true or not but I guess it could be the father , a small role.

Will Smith no se rinde fácilmente en su empeño de lanzar la carrera interpretativa de sus hijos. Incluso antes de que sean mayores de edad. Si en sus últimas películas aparece siempre junto a uno de ellos ('En busca de la felicidad' o 'Soy Leyenda'), ahora va un paso más allá con el tema y aparecerá junto a Jaden y Willow en 'Amulet'. Película de la que además es el productor. Aunque en un principio se habló de que únicamente produciría el filme, últimas informaciones afirman que también tendrá un papel en el mismo.

'Amulet' es una adaptación de un manga japonés creación de Kazu Kibuishi y relata la historia de dos hermanos que, tras el fallecimiento de sus padres, se van a vivir junto a su abuelo. Ambos descubren entonces un secreto que cambiará sus vidas y los sumergirá en una apasionante aventura.
