Admin Hero1 Posted April 8, 2008 Admin Report Share Posted April 8, 2008 okay the regulars ignore this post ----------- Okay telltale gift fund donaters, at this moment we have $161 to spend on gifts for telltale..and I think a couple of more donations are coming in later in the week..but I think we can start to get some gifts now so they arrive shortly after episode 6 launches.. I think jmm's suggestion of the Moai Lava Lamp is a really good one. http://www.modabode.com/ProductInfo.aspx?P...9&FSID=3466 Its $28 and they are from San Francisco and have free shipping. So I'd like to get that if everyone agrees. What else should we get? I think we have to get some food (cookies/chocolate?) and maybe a gift basket. Also some more season 2 themed gifts. Post all your gift ideas here and some good online gift stores.

Guest Haggis
I think the Moai lava lamp is a great idea. :) And since I'm a pretty big fan of ThinkGeek, here are some ideas from there: http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/cubegoodies/6a73/ - these stamps just seem really cool, for some reason http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/science/79ea/ - instant snow, to relive those North Pole moments http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/science/9e07/ - astronaut ice cream, it's something to eat, it's ice cream, and related to outer space... http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/science/8f3d/ - dis is soo handy für vampires, ja? http://www.thinkgeek.com/books/humor/7838/ - should the Telltale people ever go to Stuttgart, they'll need this book http://www.thinkgeek.com/books/humor/8e6c/ - there's a Jump to Conclusions mat in here - perfect gift for Jake! :D
Guest sanguinehearts
Yeah the Moai Head is perfect how about getting something like a banana protein shake powder or something to re-label as Banang We could make labels and place it over the original? You never know when it'll be useful :o I like that, heh. I'm not sure about the Banang, though. What if they don't like banana-flavoured protein drinks? :P Also, I just came across this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0764921363 - looks just like the Zombie Factory! Guest patters
how about a futurama gift i know the team like it http://www.toywiz.com/futurama.html
Guest Didda
The Moai Lava Lamp is a must. One thing I think would suite the season 2 theme would be a piñata "link" or a sombrero shaped giftbasket full of goodies.

Or.... we could hire a mariachi to deliver the basket ;) Mariachi: "Did someone say birthday??" Mariachi dances Mariachi: "Here's your gift" Mariachi sombrero store (1 hat costs around $15) http://www.wholesalecentral.com/jrpalacios...amp;catid=74572
Guest MaxFan
Agree that the Moai Head must be there. The abusive stamps remind me of Bluster Blaster, that'd be good :) That instant snow stuff is pretty cool, I've gotten some before. The astronaut ice cream tastes bad, I've had that, too. I think this Burro Piñata looks alot like the one on T.H.E.M.'s ship. Perhaps also a mock-up security camera for those times you feel the need to be paranoid as Bosco. Admin Hero1 Posted April 8, 2008 Author Admin Report Share Posted April 8, 2008 the burro pinata comes to about $50 with shipping.. if we get the multicolor burro pinata we can add a bat and blindfold and its only about $25 so that may be the way to go I do like foam rubber egg and only $7.50 Instant snow is definitely one to get.. test tube $3 jar is $12 combie survival guide is another good one $12 the office space kit we will definitely get! i know chuck loves office space as well as jake + the jump to conclusions mat perfect - $13 the mariachi hat would be good but their minimum order is $100 so we would have to rule that out.. the fake cameras a good one..looks just like boscos and only $10 okay if we add all that up plus the moai head lava lamp it comes to about $107.. so we have $54 left and I'd really like to get em all some food..candy chocolate etc anybody know and good web sites for that? tim

Guest MaxFan
I was just clicking the site provided, here's one at a much more reasonable price for the Burro Piñata We should definitely look into getting them some wine, they seemed to enjoy it last time plus it ties in with 204. Guest jmm
Hmm... Is there any chance to get a little more money? The basket seems a little small considering the number of folks working on S&M and with Nick running around... ;) If we get $20-30 more we can get something from http://www.giftbaskets.com Like this one (called "For the whole gang") http://www.giftbaskets.com/corporate-gift-...ggiftbasket.cfm I can send some more funds... if we can't get enough. Guest Guest_AllenB
Hi, I like all of the crazy stuff that's been mentioned thus far (especially the Office Space kit), and I like the idea of the "For the whole gang" basket. I will not be able to donate until Friday, though, because I am a peasant.
