VIsqo
*Sigh* Finally. After all the empty debates, rumors, and outrage surrounding Nas' N*gger album, we finally get a sample of the controversy-baiting disc. A couple of weeks ago, the Internet was abuzz with leaks of "Be a N*gger Too," the presumptive lead single from N*gger. After several listens, I wondered to myself, "Has Esco finally ran out of gas?" For a guy who once made a passion out of positive statements, Nas sounds downright tacky on "Be a N*gger Too." http://rap.about.com/od/songreviews/gr/NasBeAN-ggerToo.htm source: rap.about.com
Bob
i listened to it... awhile ago i think it's along the same lines as "where y'all at" that came out months before the hiphop is dead album. it's a street tester and will be left off the album. I love the one beat Toomp did for him, that you can find on forums... give nas time, he never fails Edited May 10, 2008 by Bob

DevilsJim89
Nas is just trying to sell by being controversial .. "Hip Hop is Dead" and now "Nigger" ..and I lovee Nas too but hes just like LL in the sense of he needs to do uncharacteristc things outside his nature just to sell records.. JumpinJack AJ
I didn't peep the track yet. Back in the late 90's Nas started 2 slip. In fact, i didn't really get back in2 him until Hip-Hop Is Dead. I can't say i've listened 2 that album in awhile, but i did like it alot. I still think the title of the album is stupid and annoying and if he's taking steps backwards, i can't say that i'm that surprised. I'll still give it an honest listen when it drops. I just hope he isn't gonna turn me off again like he did from the late 90's thru' the mid 2000's.

DevilsJim89
Definitely is sad for an emcee like Nas nowadays because he's more-so losing his mainstream appeal.
