Vipa
http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/news/id.6963 According to EW.com, a Def Jam representative has confirmed that Nas will no longer be naming his upcoming project ******. Instead, Nasir Jones will opt for a less controversial title: Nas.
bigted
That's a good decision that he made, he's been getting a lot of criticism lately

Silver Tiger
Probably bent to the pressure of Def Jam. I'm sure that they never really fully supported him on this. It would be equivalent to them basically throwing their money away because no big retailer would carry it. Funny thing is that they would all still carry "Nas" if every song on the back had the word in the title. Nas probably expected it anyway. God Blessa! Da Brakes
But your English teachers are all crying right now. God Blessa! Thats a very smart move. Although it was all probably planned. Controversy sells right...
bart5
I don't know...I think if Nas wanted to name his album that, he should have used his right of free speech to do it. By the interviews I have seen of him talking about the album name, it sounded as if he had a lot of meaning behind his original title. Although, this probably saved him a lot of bad media. Nevertheless ever since Nas fell in love with him something changed.
DevilsJim89
I am def a fan of Nas, he has some of the illest songs but I really hate how hes playing the race card. I'm so sick of hearing about racism (no offense to anyone), yeah I know it still exists but I mean you hear it in the media so much why do I wanna hear it even more in music? Come on Nas, get back to the Illmatic/Stillmatic/Nastradamus days. Enough with being controversial and trying to sell records.
bart5
Looks like he might not have changed the name after all: http://www.tmz.com/2008/05/20/nas-its-still-called-n-n-s/
Silver Tiger
That's just him saying the real title is "N****R" no matter what is actually printed on the disc. God Blessa!
