Guest Prince
I don't really like "Brand New Funk". For me, that song lacks something. I also find the repetativeness of "get down" in the chorus (just repetative scratching) kind of irritating.
JumpinJack AJ
I've never heard anyone every say anything bad about "Brand New Funk." It's classic old skool Hip-Hop in it's hay day. It personifies live show performance songs. It's not missing anything. It's got flawless rhymes and delievery, amazing turntablism, and incredible beatboxing on the live version. None of the mainstream attractions u find in "Girls..." or Parents..." are there and FP even drops most of his comic relief on this one 2 just tear up the mic. FP knows it's on of the cornerstone trax of JJ+FP's career, that's why they still perform it. Like "Summertime"...nobody knocks this joint. The Magnificent Jazzy Jeff is pure old skool with a bangin' beat! FP spits the truth while Jeff proves why hes the magnificent.
