bigted
I heard this track last night, it's a cool track but I don't hear Dr. Dre rapping on it
Turntable
yeah, which ssomehow make's me doubt that its true that its is from detox. but 2001 also had a track without dre, so who knows.
Bob
yeah, which ssomehow make's me doubt that its true that its is from detox. but 2001 also had a track without dre, so who knows. After listening to 5 seconds of TI, and knowing Dre's history of ghostwriters, I think this could very well be the cover vocals for him to eventually rap. At least TI's part, as it is very methodically different from TI's usual work. It's hard though to say Nas' lyrics are tuned for Dre in the same way. Silver Tiger
Bob makes a good point. Dre's ghostwriters typically make him sound like TI sounded. TI might just be trying to have that sound for the song though.

Nas, it actually sounds tight the way it is though, btw who is that rapping on the hook? I can't quite figure it out, some peeps on allhiphop.com think it's LL, I don't so though Edited February 20, 2009 by bigted
Da Brakes
If you listen to the lyrics it actually sounds like TI has wrote this for the intention for a ghostwritten track for Dre. I think Bob hit the nail on the head! TI make references that has to be for Dre
Big Willie
T.I mirrors Dre's flow identically as well. Either way, for Dre or a legit T.I song, I'm liking it.
