JumpinJack AJ
Back in 1991, the Fresh Prince contributed a bar to a humanitarian song for the troops serving in dessert storm. The song was composed by musical legend David Foster. It features Fresh Prince, Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant, Luther Vandross, Brenda Russell, Little Richard, Pointer Sisters, Celine Dion, Peter Cetera, Michael Bolton, Kenny G, Nelson, Kathy Mattea, Warrant, Warren Wiebe, Garth Brooks, and Randy Travis. To the best of my knowledge, the song was written while these artists and other celebrities came together for the recording. However, The Fresh Prince wrote his own bar for the song, as there are different sung lyrics on the demo version sang by Warren Wiebe. FP wasn't on set for the video but shot his own part separately that got spliced in the video. I figured that the song is unknown by most people and forgotten by the rest. I wanted to dig it back up for everyone. Once again, the 'Prince is doing something huge for Hip-Hop by being the first emcee to have solo vocals on a pop colaboration like this. I could be wrong, but I can't think of anything like this that featured an emcee. Here's the video. Hang in there, you'll see him.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRrAzDbYc68
