Admin Hero1 Posted May 26, 2013 Admin Report Share Posted May 26, 2013 As the Fresh Prince of Bel Air performance rolls past 6 million views on YouTube I can't help but think...this is it. Since Lost and Found in 2005 it's been a desert wasteland for us Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince fans. No new music, no performances, and no sign that it would ever happen. Will didn't even do a movie for 4 years and he still didn't touch a mic. I know Will is pretty sensitive about his music, from his past performances he doesn't want to step out unless he has a lot of love, he doesn't want to fail. 2013 seems to be the perfect timing, all those fresh prince fans have grown up, had kids and now those kids are fans too. It's like there are two generations of fresh prince fans and that's a lot of love. Will still has it on the mic, there is no question. I think we may look back on this weekend in the future and say that was the turning point. The amazing response to Will & Jeff performing must surely show Will how much love there is for Will & Jeff, on a stage, and in a recording studio. Now is the time for JJFP to head back in the studio, record a new album, and do a world tour. I like most of you have grown pretty pessimistic over the years of this happening, but this graham norton performance and the response to it, is like a shot in the arm, that I think will inspire Will. The fresh prince, the emcee, is inside of him, it never left, and with Jeff by his side it is ready to be unleashed. Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince Forever!!! Da Brakes
The response has been fantastic... I'm not quite sure Will and Jeff expected it to be this vast! I agree Tim... They definitely need to strike whilst the iron is hot and capitalise on the buzz at the moment. I just hope that if anything is done, it is done as Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince. Jazzy Julie
More recently ive noticed people are trying to relive the 90's, there has been a tour of old cheesy 90's pop bands in the UK, they are constantly remaking 80's/90's films, always talking about friends reunions. People love this kind of thing, anything they loved when they were younger they want to experience it again as an adult. I agree they need to get on this now and people will be all for it, not just us guys on here.
DevilsJim89
I agree! We havent had this much excitement in years! Just reading all those posts really hypes me up and I hope it just continues to build up to new surprises and ultimately music. I feel like when Will comes out and raps whether on TV shows or celeb parties, he's testing the waters and everyone has been so responsive. I remember when he talked about utilizing the internet back before Lost & Found dropped and while Switch was HUGE on iTunes, this was probably right before YouTube came about. He could really reintroduce the music through the internet. Image a vinyl destination episode featuring them in the studio making music?! Wow!! KevTastic
Jeff is more internet savvy and socially involved. So he needs to keep Will in the loop about how big the response has been. Jeff's shown by doing this UK visit he'll make the time to do stuff with Will around his already busy schedule.
fan 4ever
Reading your post gives me hope for some new music! We have been waiting way too long for it! Just to let y'all know, it's not only buzzing in the UK. A lot of people in Belgium are talking about it too.
DevilsJim89
There's been a few people here in the US on my Facebook and Twitter that have been posting this. The reaction is incredible! They need to continue to ride this wave of momentum.
Admin Hero1 Posted May 26, 2013 Author Admin Report Share Posted May 26, 2013 Well to let you know how big this is there have been articles about it in the Wall Street Journal, the L.A.
