Admin Hero1 Posted April 11, 2022 Admin Report Share Posted April 11, 2022 Yeah I don’t think it’s racism but they don’t have a good record when you look at some of the things other people have done.
bigted
from a minority's point of view it's definately racism, african americans are treated unfairly in hollywood, will makes one mistake and he's labeled "angry/crazy black man", if tom cruise did this nobody would be talking about it now, what a joke, we've been treated unfairly as blacks for over 200 years in america, will's career has been about peace and love, he shouldn't be "cancelled" for one mistake when all these white actors are forgiven over and over again, alec baldwin kills somebody and still has a career! Baldwin didn’t consciously know he was going to kill someone, nor was it in anger, nor was it premeditated, nor was it his fault live rounds were being used. Let’s not act like he’s a murderer who sought out a victim, bro. But I agree, people have been allowed to continue careers after far worse, but this isn’t about racism, it’s about the current cancel culture we have in the world, and the fact most instances of worst behaviour doesn’t actually happen Live and in front of millions. JumpinJack AJ
In this particular circumstance, I don't think racism is part of the decision either. Will's actions occurred at the event and on television. Most, but not all, of the people that are being compared due to poor behavior/decisions did what they did in their personal life or on the set. The academy can only police the behavior that happened at their event. Will picked the wrong time and the wrong place to make a mistake. I can see all perspectives, whether ones thinks banning him from 10 years was too much, just right, or too little. At this point, who cares? It's done. Will has accepted it.
