MooseKnuckles
is it smart to release the single so early? i know the remix might come out b4 the album drops and all but still, its not even febuary yet, and people are hearin it on the radio.he may push the release date up due to bootlegging and stuff, maybe he has allowed room 4 that
FreshPrincess
well hopefully if it gets released early enough he'll have another single out before Lost and Found
JumpinJack AJ
I think it is. Look at Tamia, she relased her single "Officially Missing You" in the summer of 2003...her album didn't come out til summer of 2004. Usher dropped "Yeah" in Nov/Dec 2003, the album didn't come out til March 2004...and his album turned in2 a monster. This way they'll have time 2 deside how they'll handle promotion. bigted
I don't see anything wrong with releasing the single early, if the single does well, the album sales will do well, most of the time that's the case, except for when Nas' "Street's Disciple" recently went gold without having a single dominating the charts, he released "Thief's Theme" 5 months before the album and that song wasn't a hit on the charts, but the album was. bigted
I don't even think MTV played "Bridgin' The Gap", well then again I wouldn't know since I don't watch MTV much! :kekeke:
fan 4ever
i know it had some airplay here in Belguim on TMF! That's the dutch version of MTV!
Vipa
It's like this with every artist. The single should drop, about 1 or 2 months before the album, to build it up.
Vipa
Oh, and bridging the gap was performed at Vh1s show. It caught on, and a video was made. I've seen it at MTV. The first single was Thieve's Theme.
