Admin Hero1 Posted March 31, 2005 Admin Report Share Posted March 31, 2005 i have a question about this chart from hitsdailydouble.com ---------------------------- upcoming releases for 03/29/05 artist/label last major release /1st week sales /U.S. OTC Smith, Will/Interscope 06/25/02 /60,000 /236,000 ------------------------------ what does US otc stand for?? any idea cuz i have no clue. not sure..sumthing total? sumthin anyway that last bit would be the final numbers according to soundscan.. well born to reign sold 60, 000 in its first week..so 80, 000 is better than that! of course willennium sold abt 350, 000 in its first week but will was comin off a 10 million sellin album in big willie style and a no. 1 hit in W3
Typhoon20
Yep, I agree. It's a long term prospect, if you keep in mind with Born2reign, not so good marketing and promotion, and an ok single, but you know you have at least 2 top 3 hit songs, you will be guaranteed of a long term profit, so it will get bigger and bigger, maybe 1 of the best long term cd's in a while. We'll see. But I have a question: Will has been on BET,TRL and Today Show, my question is, if will would have been promoting party starter, tell me why instead of switch and summertime, wouldn't this been the best promotion ? :speechless:
bigted
Well do the math, if the album sells at least 60,000 a week for half a year, it'll be over double platinum, and if it does that for a year, it'll sell 5 million, since FP's gonna be focusing on music for 6-8 months this could become a reality having a tour and hit singles will equal success. :ridepony:

Especially with performances and what not on the way. Lost & Found will smash B2R's sales even if it doesn't reach Willenium or Big Willie Styles mark. FreshPrincess
:werd: it'll definately be sticking around for a while Woolworths have it currently at number 13, i think it'll be hight tho by sunday coz they put Switch at number 9 last week and it ended being number 6... Jazzy Julie
yeah i think the album will be like switch, its starts off slow but ppl hear about it. Im just waiting to see what happens when tell me why is out, thats gonna sell the album and also stop the misconception of Will as a "pop" artist.
